N CA Ammo Sale
Miwall Corporation is having their once a year Father's Day weekend sale Saturday June 17 and Sunday June 18. The sale is held at their Grass Valley Warehouse, which is normally not open to the public. They deal in bulk ammunition purchases, many of their products can be purchased in 500 - 1000 round case lots. Of course, regular 50 round boxes are available as well. They carry ammo for pistols, revolvers, rifles and shotguns.
They carry virtually all forms of ammo, both new, factory reloaded, and military surplus. Their prices are as good or better than you are likely to find anywhere else. One of the big costs associated with bulk ammo purchases via the web is the shipping, ammo is heavy. By attending the sale you avoid shipping and also you can pay CASH without leaving a paper trail, if that is important to you.
Compared to most retail sources, MIWALL IS A STEAL OF A DEAL. You may not have noticed, but Walmart stores in many areas NOW CARRY NO AMMO OF ANY KIND. It may be prudent to look ahead with the idea that regular sources of ammo, at some time in the future, may not be available. It may be best to stock up now while supplies are still obtainable.
I am in no way associated with Miwall other than as a satisfied customer for the past several years.
You can get directions to the Miwall warehouse location at:
Miwall Corp.
13235-B Grass Valley Ave.
Grass Valley, CA 95945
530-273-4440
Internet mapping utilities notoriously return poor directions for this location. Go to the site or call ahead for directions.

BTW - Anyone looking for empty used ammo tins to securely store food, Miwall does usually sell these at the warehouse sale inexpensively. These are like heavy duty metal boxes with rubber seals and clamp-down lids, which typically have many useful handles on them. They stack well in storage. Bugs and rodents would have a heck of a time trying to get into these. Keep in mind you will need plastic liners to keep food clean. Ammo does contain some substances you wouldn't want to eat, but I don't think any of these would be absorbed thru a standard ziplock bag or two. |

Wish I could find some SA battle packs of 5.56 in bulk again. Even Wolf ammo is getting hard to find. If I lived in this area I would add to the pile. Even surplus .308 is getting thin.

Ok, back from the sale.
Got the followng:
2000 rounds 9mm
1000 rounds .45 ACP
500 rounds .357 magnum
50 rounds 12 gauge 00 buckshot
15 rounds 12 gauge #1 buckshot
15 rounds 12 gauge 1oz slug
Cost: $550
Most - I say most - of this is for the sake of the shooting sports we participate in. However, it's nice to know we have a good supply should any "emergency needs" arise.
Also, we went to the range nextdoor to the warehouse. Nice place, but it was the busiiest day of the year for them, retail-wise. We had the shooting lanes virtually to ourselves. Tried out a new CZ75b 9mm pistol, very nice and my wife likes the way it handles, but complains that it spits brass back in her face, hair and neckline. The new FireDragon barrel we got for her Springfield XD9 performed flawlessly (replacement of the original, ported barrel was necessary to make the gun permissible for IDPA shooting). What a great way to spend a Saturday morning!

Hello bruss. I want to thank you for your help some weeks ago about buying a gun.I took your advice and went to a gun shop that has a firing range, and tried firing few diffrent types of guns.I did find a gun that was easy for me to handle.

Terrific, the Walther p22 is an excellent choice. You'll get much enjoyment and peace of mind from it, no doubt. Congratulations!
