A recently leaked compilation of documents shows the influence of "Big Pharma" on the
policy making decisions of the WHO, the UN body safeguarding public
health. These confidential documents were obtained by the drug industry
before their public release to WHO member states (scheduled to be
released May 2010). The document also illustrates that the WHO expert
group was highly responsive to industry lobbying - a result that public
health groups had feared since early 2009.

Gee... Let's pretend the vaccine is in short supply.
Supplies running low... (letting it out in controlled amount to increase demand?)
................................................................................................................................. Session I of a Council On Foreign Relations Symposium on Pandemic Influenza: Science, Economics and Foreign Policy
excerpt- SIMONSEN: Well, I think this is very interesting because, I mean, especially for the health-care worker example. I mean, there are many, many good reasons why health care workers should be considering immunization for their own safety but also to protect and, first, do no harm to the patients that they are treating. Having said that, does it work to mandate? I think what would work better would be to say that there was a shortage and people tend to buy more of something that's in demand. (Laughter.) We saw that -- there was one season where, really, people lined up all night to get a flu shot.
COHEN: Right.
SIMONSEN: And I mean ---
COHEN: Well, there is shortage.
SIMONSEN: No, actually, because we thought we were going to need two doses for every adult and since we are - only one dose, so, actually, we have twice as many doses and enough for the whole population at this point, I understand.

Flu Pandemic Much Milder Than Expectedby Richard Knox December 8, 2009
As federal health agencies launch a big campaign to convince more Americans to get flu shots, new data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and outside analysts indicate this pandemic is much milder than officials expected or have let on so far. "It is probably going to be the mildest pandemic on record — compared to the three that happened in the 20th century," says Dr. Marc Lipsitch, a professor of epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health and co-author of a new analysis in the journal Public Library of Science. ......................... I understand the critique, but what is the auther suggesting shood have happened (Medically).
We all know there are few medical interventions for (Pandemic Influenza)
Vaccine
Tamiflu
Relenza
And a couple others in Trials
Its not like their were 25 options and they had to choose 3.
I guess they could have just done nothing and then when it hits tell everyone to get some vitamins.
HMMM (Dont Think So)
