Like many preppers, I've been having a hard time figuring out how to store enough water. I live near the ocean and thought maybe I could rig up a distiller from my pressure cooker/pressure canner.

I looked around on the net and found that yes, this works, and here are detailed (and easy/cheap) directions:
http://www.boatus.com/goodoldboat/pressure.htm . This page is about pressure cooking, but if you go to the bottom of the page, she tells how to distill seawater, and provides a diagram and instructions. This would work with any water (pond, rainwater, etc.) not just salt water.
Good luck!
