Ok so Friday on the TV News they said to get your flu shot early because there have already had 60 cases of flu n Colorado. One teen kept telling her mom she was very tired, she fainted and went to the doctor who gave her a flu test she had the flu. Mom said she is still sick, no aches and pains just so tired she gets up eats and goes back to bed.

So buckle up folks this may be a very early flu season with a large amount of cases.

Australian officials say they treated record-breaking numbers of flu patients this season. In the U.S., a four-year-old California boy died from influenza earlier this month.

It is coming to the end of the year for reporting Flu in the States. This past year some 136 children have been reported as having died from the flu. This is slightly above the average of 121 deaths (data since the 2003-4 season when reporting became mandatory), but much lower than the previous flu season where there were 187 child deaths.

17 years ago I was a woman ahead of her time. Pediatricians in those days would not give a flu shot to my 8 year old because he did not have any serious illnesses. So I took him to the local grocery store where they were giving flu shots, he got one then and every year after. As I heard of children dying from the flu over the years I pray for their parents,it is the worst thing that can happen to parents.
