Important Comcast TV phone internet down Seattle Denver Houston Chicago San Fran almost all of Florida eastern seaboard from Vt through Va. And more it seems to be growing by the Comcast outage map. This is serious if Comcast was hit by a hacker country like China.
It just came back on here in Denver it was out for over a half hour. Here is a problem no channel in Denver reported this outage. Guys we are sitting ducks on the grid and cable and I would bet dish also. |

As I read the outage blog people are just mad because of no service only one guy said this could be a cyber attack. Look if our enemies can practice and see what they can knock out but one day we could have a huge outage across the board. We would be in the dark with a billion screaming chinamen coming at us!
People only think about no tv and how much they pay for cable when they should be seeing what may be behind the curtain. |

Sometime around 10 a.m. on Monday morning channels went out on Comcast TV. It appears that only local channels weren't hit by this odd outage, which is pretty much reported nationwide on many of the Internet "Down" sites. Reports from Comcast customers on the various websites, like DSL Reports on February 15, 2016, indicate that the local and national phone numbers for Comcast are not accessible. Many are getting a "fast busy signal" or a message saying "all circuits are busy." Twitter is saturated with reports from California to Massachusetts today with most people reporting the same problem. "Only local TV stations coming in" and "Comcast lines busy," as folks attempt to reach Comcast today. While many still have their phone and Internet service working the TV is doing the same thing for people across the nation, it is allowing you to watch only a few local channels. The buzz online is already building theories of Comcast being "hacked," especially because no one seems to be able to get a hold of anyone at Comcast. People on Twitter are asking for Comcast to send some word, by releasing a statement on Twitter as to what is going on. The most recent map that the Twitter users have posted online to show where this Comcast outage is reported is taking up the entire United States. Why would everything else work, but the cable channels? That is a question many are asking right now. comment: It is not necessarily hackers although they were in Comcast last week. Is there news or an event about to happen that people are not supposed to know about? Medclinician |

This map show areas that had areas with outages. Medclinician “We’re continuing to investigate what appears to be a temporary network interruption that impacted some of our services this morning. Our engineers have been working on this and services are starting to be restored. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused our customers.” Comcast |

Hi Med, stupid people are all upset about not having TV. Me I am worried about who and/or what did this. If you can knock out Comcast and their ability to receive phone calls this is some powerful Kung Fu!
I think we should all be ready for sudden electricity blackouts and sudden internet blackouts. We could be in some deep dodo! I bet no one tells the public the truth about what caused this sudden outage and why their phones were down. |

As we were discussing with our"techie people" in Silicon Valley, hackers, terrorists, thieves, and so forth are becoming more efficient. They are evolving. If they want to harvest identities, credit card numbers, vital information, they are going to hit "big databases". The days of personal vendetta hacking, even "do it for the thrill" hacking are being replaced by do it to make money.
Now they pick a large chain of supermarkets, high profile banks, and they are practicing. It is no big secret that in the Middle East we did a lot more damage with a "virus" messing up centrifuges of nuclear bomb developing nations than with all our threats or lack of military force. There are three massive targets I have been ranting about for almost a decade. The power grid, the infrastructure and health by bioweapons and finally - the Internet. The government is addicted to the net. They replaced the use of paper for the most part and migrated to PDFs and if our net goes down, we are going to suffer a communication hit as well as Anarchy as people riot in the streets. They will you know. When little Celeste or Jo Bob can't text their friends and the lesson plans are lost, the air traffic controllers flip out as generators fail and law enforcement has some real issues as stoplights don't even blink anymore and looters start sacking stores... it will hit the fan and well... Comcast is a prime target. As much as I hate seeing the Geico Gecko Lizard and hearing Flo singing for Progressive insurance, I would more than miss my net. China - Russia - and especially Chechnya are putting together serious cyber task forces that have targeted and are developing ways to take down the net. My biggest concern is that "they are practicing" and Comcast was a trial run for a much bigger operation in the near future. Medclinician |
