lets hope he did not had much contacts in the latest period...
about 10 days befre they ment that there are 25 % chances that another differet case should occure in the USA.. it really seems the chances were much higher... and that their risc calculations are pretty far away from reality...

Well you can stop hoping because it sounds like he had all kinds of contacts. Felt fatigue on Wednesday, went bowling, jogging, to a restaurant, rode two different subways....

A doctor who treated ebola patients comes back and starts partying? How can they trust anyone when a doctor does this?

The Government has no respect for the citizens of the United states or they would not be allowing Ebola to be shipped here from Africa.

This doctor knew exactly what he was doing. This isn't about denial, this was deliberate. The only question is why?
He KNEW he had been exposed. There is no doubt about that. That being said, he KNEW he hadn't been feeling well for three days before he took public transportation through the city. Even if he was in denial, and tried to convince himself it was the flu, he didn't do anything to protect the public. At the very least he could have been wearing gloves and a mask when he took the cab to the hospital. The driver wouldn't have even blinked if at him if he saw the mask and the good doctor said he had the flu and didn't want to spread it. They do it in Asia all the time. If anyone contacts ebola thru him, he should be charged with manslaughter. There is no way he is innocent. |

So, this doctor's idea of self-isolation is to go bowling? Maybe this is a new variant of the disease : ebowler virus.

I've read he was "self monitoring" not "self isolating". Big difference apparently. Although his monitoring failed to raise his alarms when he felt fatigued as early as Tuesday, some reports are saying. He only took action when he got the fever Thursday morning.

Doctors without Borders are doing great work. They should always be isolated prior to or after coming to the US. A news reporter has been talking about how hard it is to get the personnel back from Africa in regards to price and time delay if they feel they are sick. The easiest way appears to get on a plane before symptoms start. This has to be stopped. The young man gets back and possibly makes his girlfriend sick. Bad judgement.

Any person who goes over there and directly works with Ebola patients should under no circumstances be allowed back into their home country without first self quarantining over there for 21 days. But that would cost money to stay quarentined there. But then DWB has rejected donations from Austrailia because apparently they already have more money than they know what to do with? If paying a returning HCW to self-isolate in Africa is a costly endeavor then they cannot afford to be there to begin with. Or maybe they should of taken Australia's offer.
