Greetings, just a heads up that the total case count has been adjusted per WHO:

If there are 13,500 known cases and 5,000 known deaths but the CFR for now is assigned the number of 70%, does that mean since 8,500 are infected but alive over the 5,000 dead, that this slow moving train wreck is building up speed rapidly? You would think that with 13,500 total cases there would be over ten thousand dead already at a 70% CFR but those numbers to me can only mean that the cases are far outnumbering the deaths at this point because the infections are growing much faster now than the average lifespan an infected person has. Kind of like if tomorrow they were to announce 100,000 new cases overnight, the deĆ ths would still be 5,000 until a few days, weeks later?

Probably hard to keep track of the numbers. People are probably scared that get Ebola and their families are scared too. They probably trust the government as little as some of us in this country.

In the time it took them to adjust these numbers up and down and back up again appears to be without any new numbers added to the mix. A slowing trend in Liberia but increase in Sierra Leone and Guinea indicates the adjusted numbers should have still gone up one or two thousand. Maybe they're doing all they can to convince the world that their policies are working. Or they did add the newest increases to the mix but are using their saved ace cards of removing the cases they knew all along were unverifiable which may be a lot of cases. 5000 deaths, 13500 cases, 70% CFR... That's about 6000 cases to play with.
