A series of earthquakes, some as strong as 5.7 are happening the last two days in Sweden http://www.snsn.se/, http://www.volcanodiscovery.com/earthquakes/scandinavia.html and http://www.thelocal.se/20150730/gothenburg-rocked-by-fairly-big-earthquake, for the Queensland coast and other places. http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/nation/second-quake-off-queenslands-coast/story-e6frg6nf-1227466034480 and http://www.ga.gov.au/earthquakes/getQuakeDetails.do?quakeId=3702036.
Eventhough in both places one might link it with mining, the Australian quakes are a 100 km from the coast, in Sweden several quakes at different places in a short timeframe. Maybe it has to do with climate change, decrease of landice. But it is winter in the southern part of this planet ?

5.7 earthquake reported off Queensland coast
Date August 1, 2015 - 6:40PM UPDATE: Queensland's Fraser Coast has been hit by eight earthquakes in three days, including a 5.7 magnitude event early this afternoon that was followed by at least two aftershocks. One was a magnitude 5.7 at 1.38pm - even larger than Thursday's shake - followed by another about an hour and 10 minutes later. According to the Geosciences Australia website, there have been five other minor earthquakes since July 30, with the most recent a 3.1-magnitude at 3.08pm on Saturday. The first earthquake was felt in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast. One Hervey Bay resident described feeling "a wobble" after Saturday's first quake. A Bribie Island couple reported hearing the windows of their home rattling "for 10 or 15 seconds" and said it was "a weird sensation." On Saturday evening, Fraser Coast Regional Council Mayor Gerard O'Connell said there were no reports of infrastructure damage, but disaster management staff were placed on alert when the tremor occurred just after 1.30pm. Deputy Mayor Robert Garland it was rare for earthquakes to occur in the area. "Out in the ocean - if it could happen anywhere, that's the best place for it to happen," he said. "At this stage it's fingers crossed and we can thank our blessings. "All it's done is surprised people with the size and then frequency of it." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1989_Newcastle_earthquake
In early 2007 a United States academic claimed that coal mining in the region triggered the earthquake, although earthquake activity has been present in the area at least since white settlement first occurred.[3][4] This is in addition to reports by the former head of Geosciences Australia's earthquake monitoring group, Dr David Denholm, who stated that the Newcastle earthquake was some distance from mining activity: "The depths of the focus of the earthquake was about 13, 14 kilometres, whereas the ones associated with mining, they're actually right close to the mine, because that's where the stress release takes place".[5] Despite this, even the most recent earthquake codes required neither the adoption of earthquake resistant design regulations in Newcastle, nor the strengthening of old buildings, although they did encourage owners to provide more than the minimum strength.[6] http://www.abc.net.au/news/2007-01-09/australian-experts-reject-newcastle-quake-claims/2168560 |

For Sweden; (reaction from Dutchsinse Facebook)Claus Olsen Some days ago we also had a quake in Sweden. I live in Denmark, and in the northern part of Denmark, only 200 km from the quake, they started fracking some months ago !!!
Near Barcelona (Catalunya/Spain) http://www.emsc-csem.org/Earthquake/earthquake.php?id=453230 might be related to old volcanic fields in the area that became more active. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garrotxa_Volcanic_Zone_Natural_Park Seismic activity in Italy is "normal", I think Dutchsinse might be right in his idea of pressure coming from the West Pacific-all the way through Asia to the Southern Europe (with some northern "jumps", British Channel etc.) amd Northern Africa.
