Chechen commandos fighting in Syria alongside Russian troops, leader says
DEBKAfile February 9, 2016, 2:19 PM (IDT) Chechen ruler Ramzan Kadyrov said during an appearance on Russian television that Chechen special forces are fighting alongside Russian troops in Syria, and that they have suffered casualties. He did not specify the location of the deployment or the fronts where they have fought. The Chechen special forces brigades are an integral part of the Russian military as Chechnya is part of Russia. Some of the units, disguised as volunteer fighters, fought in eastern Ukraine in recent months. |

Have been told that no way will the United States will get involved in a Turkish invasion of Syria. However the war is at a critical point.

The "we are change"video is missing a few points:
Syria has 30% shia-muslims, mostly sunni. Also this "civil" war is about oil-gas-pipelines. Qatar wants a line via Syria/Turkey to Europe. The US is backing that plan because Europe would in that case not buy oil from Russia. Another point is that Saudi Arabia is going bankrupt because of the low oil price. The war in Yemen is turning into a disaster. But economic collapse would be the end of the Saoud-dinasty. The eastern Saudi Arabia-mostly shia-close to Iran is producing most of the oil. Saudi Arabia isalso repressing the shia-minority within its own borders. The Kurds are another issue-in Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria. The Kurds are the largest nation without their own state. Turkey and the US disagree on the Kurdish issue. Turkey is using IS to fight PKK/YPG while the US is giving the YPG weapons to fight (parts of) IS. Several countries have their own agendas. (Israel wanted to weaken Syria, prefers IS above Iran-but within some limits). I think Russia and Iran are very clear that they will and can not accept an invasion in Syria from Turkey, KSA or any other party. Turkey is using refugees north of Aleppo to discuss a "safe-zone" in Syria that will also be used by IS and can be used as a supply-line from Turkey to IS. Russia is willing to accept a "safe-zone"under Russian supervision (I guess). The danger is in further escalation that could put the whole region in war, including north of Turkey, the Ukraine, Afghanistan, Libya etc. China has its own-New Silk Road-plan and is not going to accept sabotage. They did stay out of the fighting so far, but in economic and political way Russia-Iran-China are one block. The exchange energy for weapons, use eachothers currencies or Euro's. India may be getting closer to this block-depending on the situation with Pakistan/Kashmir. The NATO and EU are divided. In Europe (and in the US) people are asking why NATO should move east to Ukrain, Georgia etc. The EU has the refugee-crisis as a result of the Bush-administrations attack on Iraq. Most people outside the US blame the US for the economic (debt-related) chaos in the world.

350,000 troops, 20,000 Tanks, 2,450 military planes and 460 Helicopters from 25 countries are massing in northern Saudi Arabia. Thousands of soldiers from regional countries are set to participate in what is being "called" a military "exercise" media reports say. Saudi media said some 350,000 forces from Persian Gulf Arab states and a number of other countries will take part in a Saudi-led military maneuver in the area of Hafer al-Batin in northern Saudi Arabia. In addition to the massive troop build-up, some 2,540 warplanes, 20,000 tanks and 460 helicopters will also participate in the exercise, dubbed “North Thunder.” The "exercise" is scheduled to last 18 days, during which the airspace over northern Saudi Arabia will be closed. Media reports say the "exercise" will be the largest in the history of the region. However, SuperStation95 has done some initial research and there is no known example of this much military power being massed for an "exercise" . . . anywhere . . . ever. Egypt, Sudan, Pakistan and Persian Gulf Arab states are among the 25 countries that will take part in the military exercises. The maneuver comes at a sensitive time after Saudi Arabia announced readiness to participate in any ground incursion in Syria if the US-led coalition decides to start such an operation. (Gee, what a coincidence.) We are now within about 18 days (maximum) of what may prove to be the actual hot-start to World War 3. And the US mass-media is completely, utterly silent about it. |

Further indications for an escalation of the M.East war:
Experts suggest Turkey is ready to deploy some 18,000 troops with substantial artillery and air support to occupy a 30-kilometer deep territory across the border running from the city of Jarabulus westward to the city of Azaz. The operation would cover an area under ISIS control, and it would provide a direct military assistance to terrorists and facilitate establishing of a buffer zone for the vestiges of their forces in Northern Syria. It would drastically escalate the tensions with the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the predominantly Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). However, the Turkish military is fully capable of completing the first move aimed to push the SAA and the SDF from the aforementioned area and occupy a significant part of Northern Syria. This step will likely face a hard answer of the Russian military grouping located in the country. The Russian land and navy air-defense systems and fighter jets are fully capable to neutralize the Turkish air force which will allow the Syrian government to counter-attack the Turkish intervention forces. Thus, the anti-terrorist forces will get a chance to exercise a counter-attack which will be likely supported by the Russian Aerospace Defense Forces. There was no way to bring water, food or medicines to the fleeing refugees. As in Aleppo, the Darnah district is held by hundreds of assorted rebel militias, ranging from the US-backed Free Syrian Army to groups which have sworn allegiance to ISIS. According to our intelligence sources, it is often hard to determine which groups are taking orders from whom. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-02-10/us-leading-saudi-arabia-down-kuwaiti-invasion-road For the first time in a long time I feel concerned and worried about the prospect of war. The reaction of Saudi Arabia to the Russian intervention in Syria has always been the wild card in the shifting geopolitical power base in the Middle East. Turkey and Israel, along with Saudi Arabia are the three countries with the most to lose because of a strong alliance between Syria, Iran, Hezbollah, and Russia. These three traditional American allies have been accustomed to Western support in regards to their own specific regional goals and ambitions. This support has been so staunch and counterproductive to regional stability that the growing comfort and alliance between Iran and the US should be both confusing and worrisome to Saudi Arabia and Turkey. It is plausible that an overthrow of the House of Saud would benefit the American strategy against China. The divisions within Saudi Arabia make it ripe for such a strategy explained above. Especially if there is a faction of the House of Saud which would be willing to take control of what remains and fit within a larger Middle Eastern regional alliance. A negotiation with China regarding crude sales in renminbi as discussed in the post The Petro-Renminbi Emerges, could very well be the macro-geopolitical and macro-socioeconomic strategy which is unfolding here. Such an outcome would benefit both China and Russia, while also maintaining a check on Iranian regional ambitions. To think that the US would enter into a major war against Russia over Saudi Arabia is fraught with mindlessness and madness. The more probable strategy is the overthrow of the House of Saud, or at least a complete restructuring of the countries place within the Middle East. Will Saudi Arabia take the bait and invade Syria? I think we may know that answer sooner rather than later. |

Eventhough in Munich-Germany there were talks about a "ceasefire" in Syria the West and its Arab allies have a long history for "double-talk". "Humanitarian Aid" should not mean reinforcing IS etc. with food weapons and fighters. Turkey, Saudi Arabia, NATO did not change their plans. A ceasefire could buy them time for military intervention.
A large scale US-led invasion in Syria from Turkey and KSA-via Iraq-will meet Russian weapons. Quite likely tactical nuclear weapons to stop Allied armies of over 500.000 man. The US proberbly is preparing anti-missiles-systems to deal with those tactical nuclear weapons. The outlook is bad. There is no such thing as a limited nuclear war. When Russia would use tactical nuclear weapons that are being shot down by the US it will lead to further escalation. Above that if IS is a western product the start of such a war would bring in action IS terrorist cells all over the world. This time, there was no "pregnant pause." This time, the Saudis had one of their Brig. Generals come out on TV and state "The decision to send ground troops into Syria is final." That statement came out earlier today.
Late this afternoon, Defense Secretary Ash Carter announced he was "asking NATO allies to join a US coalition to send ground troops into Syria." This is directly threatening the Russians that they will be facing NATO!
The Russian response was swift: This evening Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev warned that "the demands of some Arab countries to send ground forces into Syria risks starting a new world war." Mr. Medvedev said sending troops to Syria risks drawing “everyone taking part in it into a war” and drastically escalating the conflict. “All ground operations, as a rule, lead to permanent wars,” he said. “The Americans must consider – both the U.S. president and our Arab partners – whether or not they want a permanent war.” Russia again repeated its warning that any foreign ground troops entering Syria without permission would be a declaration of war.
Late this evening, The Irish Times broke news that the intent of Saudi Arabia sending ground forces is "to counter Russia." Whoa! When did the mission change from fighting ISIS to "countering Russia?" Who decided that?
We are now watching World War Three being put into operation
Oh, My Dear Holy God! I cannot believe I am watching this take place. We are literally watching World War Three be put into motion and the clock is ticking: 18 days max.
Here's the worst part: When NATO was first created to protect Europe from what was the big, bad Soviet Union, the Soviets enjoyed huge advantages in all military force. Russia could field 100 Divisions; NATO could only field 12. Russia could field 18,000 tanks. NATO could only field about 5,000. So NATO adopted the "flexible response strategy."
The ONLY possible way to delay or halt the advance of 100 Army Divisions with 18,000 tanks is to use Tactical (Battlefield) nuclear weapons as a "force multiplier." NATO thus no longer needed to match the size and strength of Russia, because a doctrine had been adopted to equal the balance of power by using Tactical nukes. The Deterrent threat of that possibility worked! It kept the peace.
Fast-Forward to today. To this very moment, the ONLY way to stop 350,000 ground troops with 20,000 tanks coming at you is to use tactical nukes. There simply is no other choice.
Russia has adopted a first strike doctrine. If Russia, or its territory or its interests are faced with being over-run, they will use tactical nukes to deal with that problem.
So here we have it: Russia now faces being over-run in Syria starting 18 days from now. The ONLY possible way they can stop 350,000 ground troops backed by 20,000 tanks, is to use tactical nukes. Their formal policy is to do exactly that. Hence, tactical (Battlefield) nuclear weapons will be used. There's no way to avoid it because it is the only possible defense against 350,000 ground troops and 20,000 tanks coming across the border. American Mass Media Keeping All of This Quiet
The American media is totally silent about all this. This is by design; they want you to be taken totally by surprise when war breaks out, so you'll be too scared to think, and instead, will just do what the politicians tell you.
When this war breaks out -- 18 days from now -- and the Russians do what they must to protect Syria from being over-run, the ONLY thing the American public will be told is "Russia attacked Saudi Arabia with nuclear weapons. Saudi Arabia is our ally and we are going to help them."
Americans, completely ignorant of who is _really_ the bad guy here, will hear that "Russia attacked our ally with nukes" they'll gasp and say to themselves "those bastards" and off to war they'll go; a war that will have already gone nuclear. WW3 . . . 18 days from now.
Ladies and gentlemen, my fellow citizens, we cannot sit back and allow this to take place. We cannot allow people to start a world war over religious beliefs and an egotistical desire to control other countries. We cannot send our sons to war for this nonsense! I have a son of Draft age. I speak now, as his father, to protect him from this insanity.
Please spread the word. Send links to this article to everyone you know. Please tell your family, friends, neighbors, co-workers to read this story so they know what's actually taking place and how much danger we are all facing. There does not have to be a war. A nuclear war.
Unless we stand-up, right now, and tell our elected public SERVANTS that we absolutely forbid them from sending ground troops into Syria, they will lead us to utter destruction . . . and they have a very good motive for doing it:
Economic Collapse
The government in the US, and those in Europe, need a DIVERSION to shift the public's attention away from the coming economic collapse. |

Kurdish troops, with Russian special forces, capture key air base in N. Syria
DEBKAfile February 11, 2016, 3:23 PM (IDT) DEBKAfile's sources report Thursday that forces from the Kurdish YPG militia, backed by Russian commandos, captured the Minnigh air base and an adjacent town in northern Syria from rebel groups allied with Islamic State. It marked the first time in the Syrian war that Kurdish troops had attacked the rebels in a joint operation with the Russians. The town and the base located north of the city of Aleppo, and just a few kilometers from the Turkish border, are strategically important due to their proximity to the town of A'zaz that controls the main northern route leading to the besieged city. DEBKAfile's sources added that the capture of the air base and the roads leading to it cut off the last remaining route for the rebels in Aleppo to receive ammunition, food, medicine and other supplies from the air. |

Do I get it right ? YPG was fighting IS that got ammunition, medicine and other supplies "from the air"?
YPG is seen by Turkey as part of PKK "terrorists". In large parts of Turkey the situation is close to a civil war between (right wing) Turks and Kurds, "left wing Turks", Alawites etc. If a KSA/Turkish invasion in Syria was meant to have fighting IS as an excuse those IS allies better hurry up. IS is pushed east and south into Iraq. The plan proberbly is to push IS towards KSA. Leading IS figures now show up in Libya. Did they walk/swim to Libya or how did they get there ? It is time to ask serious questions! The west has been supporting an extremist group in a proxy war. Reminds me of how the nazi's got their power in the early 30's. Backed by western (royal) elite, Bush/Koch family, Henry Ford, Shell etc. That same elite has been backing IS ! That same elite is pushing for war with Iran and Russia ! Not for "human rights or democracy" but to enrich themselves even further !

And just how far is this from the plains of Meggido? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armageddon Russia will have no choice but to use Tactical (Battlefield) Nuclear Weapons to defend Syria once a ground invasion begins within 18 days, by 350,000 troops, 20,000 Tanks, 2,450 military planes and 460 Helicopters from 25 countries massing in northern Saudi Arabia. Syria has warned "any aggressor entering the country will go home in wooden coffins;" Russia has said "any country sending ground troops into Syria without permission will be considered a declaration of war." Let's hope for once some of the most powerful nations and leaders on Earth surprise everyone and make the right one. End the conflict in Syria. Lay down your weapons and talk peace. It is time to call a cease fire and demonstrate your wisdom not your military might. |

Med, I agree with you, the only right thing to do is make peace not war. But all indications go towards war in the short term.
Saudi Arabia is to deploy military jets and personnel to Turkey’s Incirlik Air Base in the south of the country, Ankara said. The base is already used by the US Air Force for their sorties in Syria. The deployment is part of the US-led effort to defeat the Islamic State terrorist group, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said. "At every coalition meeting, we have always emphasized the need for an extensive result-oriented strategy in the fight against the Daesh terrorist group,” he said, referring to IS by an Arabic-language abbreviation. Cavusoglu spoke to the Yeni Şafak newspaper after addressing a security conference in Munich, Germany, where the Syrian crisis was one of the top issues on the agenda. "If we have such a strategy, then Turkey and Saudi Arabia may launch a ground operation,” he added, fueling concerns that a foreign troop invasion may soon further complicate the already turbulent situation in the war-torn country. Earlier, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the UAE voiced their readiness to contribute troops for a ground operation in Syria on the condition that the US would lead the intervention. Damascus and its key regional ally, Iran, warned that such a foreign force would face strong resistance. Speaking to reporters en route to Turkey from the Netherlands, Davutoğlu said that he had told German Chancellor Angela Merkel of the need to stop Russia in Syria in order to prevent further influxes of refugees to Turkey and Europe from the region, the Hürriyet daily reported on Friday. When asked whether Turkey will take action to reopen the corridor to Aleppo, Davutoğlu said, “Wait for the next few days and you will have the answer,” daily Hürriyet reported on Friday. Davutoğlu also criticized the US for not listing the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) as a terrorist organization. He argued that the People's Protection Units (YPG), the armed wing of the PYD, supplies arms to the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). “When US Vice President Joe Biden came [to Turkey in late January], we showed him everything on a map for five hours. We shared everything about which routes are used by the YPG to carry weapons to Turkey. We expect [the US to show] sensitivity [about the issue]. We cannot see the YPG as legitimate just because it is fighting against the [Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant] ISIL,” Hürriyet quoted Davutoğlu as saying. "We will show patience up to a point and then we'll do what's necessary. Turkey’s membership in NATO complicates its plans of invasion. Unless Turkey is itself attacked, the NATO alliance is not obligated to defend the nation. Turkey will have to engineer a provocation that frames it as the target of an aggression either by Kurdish forces from beyond its borders or by Syrian or Russian forces combating its terrorist allies in Syria. Such a false flag provocation in not outside of the realm of possibility. When a Turkish F-16 shot down a Russian Su-24, claims that the bomber had strayed into Turkish airspace for a number of minutes and ignored radio warnings from the Turkish aircraft were proven to be patently false. A year earlier in 2014, an audio recording of Turkish officials, including the head of the Security Service (MIT), Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Foreign Minister and the Undersecretary to the Foreign Minister discussing staging an attack on the Tomb of Suleiman Shah (a sovereign piece of Turkish territory) in Syria and using it as a pretext to intervene in Syria were leaked anonymously on YouTube. The Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan responded by banning YouTube in Turkey, in affect giving support to the recordings authenticity. Now that the Syrian government has the upper hand militarily, gaining back territory and destroying, surrounding or pushing back various Turkish-backed terrorist forces, Turkey may be ready to engineer a new excuse to invade. |

Sometimes I almost think those in power read what I write here. Is this a diversion so they can gather their forces for greater conflict or are the countries of the world trying to stop this war and the thousands of innocent people being killed and end the hostilities in Syria?

Some links, developments could go fast so this may be "old news" by the time I put these links.
In the clearest sign yet that the Syria situation is rapidly escalating to World War 3, the government of Russia has Urged all Russians in Turkey to Leave immediately! FIGHTING HAS ALREADY BEGUN between Syria and Turkey. Russia has troops inside their ally, Syria and it is widely expected that RUssia will ENGAGE any foreign troops or planes that attempt to enter Syria without the permission of the Syrian government. https://www.superstation95.com/index.php/world/886 Sources on the ground inside Syria tell SuperStation95 that the Turks began a furious artillery barrage at about 6:00 AM eastern US time today. Turkey is attacking the Kurdish YPG . https://www.rt.com/news/332380-turkey-shells-northern-syria/ https://www.rt.com/op-edge/332394-syria-terrorists-endgame-provocation/ Turkish artillery pounds Kurds in northern Syria. Will Russia react? DEBKAfile February 13, 2016, 6:33 PM (IDT) The Syrian war took a new turn Saturday, when Turkish artillery Saturday started pounding Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) forces near the northern Syrian town of Aleppo. It started shortly after Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu threatened the same measures against the Syrian Kurds “as we took in Iraq and Qandil [against PKK strongholds]." The fall of the base deprived left Syrian rebels encircled in Aleppo of their supply routes by air, after the Syrian army and allies cut off their road links to Turkey. This steps were part of the Russian strategy for the capture of Aleppo, and Moscow will most likely retaliate for the Turkish artillery attack. |

Developments will bring even further unrest (civil war) in Turkey itself. Not only Kurds, also other groups are against Erdogans alignment with Saudi Arabia.
"Turkey will not be a proxy to execute scenarios of violence and atrocity drafted in foreign capitals. Otherwise the outcome could be catastrophic," Bahçeli said. He also said the government must immediately inform the Parliament about all aspects of its relations with Saudi Arabia and offer detailed explanations about the current developments. "A ground operation without the approval of Parliament could cost us a homeland," he warned. Alevis |

Turkey prepares to invade Syria. Fighter jets arrive. Doubts as to a cease fire and situation on the Turkey/Syrian border. It appears that the main purpose of the invasion of Syria by Turkey and Arabia will not be to fight terrorists but the overthrow the Assad regime.

It would appear that this one of the few places tracking the real events
occurring in Syria and a possible invasion from Turkey in the near
future. Having some serious issues getting this post to you. This is the
third time AFT has shut down on me. Despite mainstream media announcements
that there is a cease fire, this is not the case. Still the battle
continues with ISIS shutting down a main road and they are fighting to
clear it. U.S. continues to back the IS state revolutionary forces and
those have been under attack from Russian air attacks. One gain has been
the ability of humanitarian aid to enter the war torn cities but
nothing has stopped concerning Turkey's preparation for an armed
invasion of Syria with Arabian military and ground forces supporting
them. Although Russia has advanced missile arrays positioned near the
border, and most jets would be shot down, a large scale ground invasion
to topple the Assad regime with 350,000 troops is still possible and
could greatly escalate the situation. Stay tuned for "The Real News." We
are working - i.e. CWN to set up our own channel but will work with AFT
at least post here.

Good video. Ends with request for money to get independent press to cover news. I think independent media is essential for people to find out what is "realy happening" (as far as reality is not to complex to cover).
The cease-fire is an open door. It gives groups the chance to change positions with the ceasefire as an excuse. That is the "big good thing"! It has Russia and the US/NATO talking. Iran is in a different position towards the west than it was just a few months ago. Israel has to deal with Russia more then before the Russian intervention in Syria. The 'devil-is-in-the-detail' is always true. But the "parties that matter"agree that IS and Al-Nusra are not wanted in Syria. Turkey and Gulf States-the sponsors of these terror-groups-have lost. The main problem-as put in the video-is "the west does not know what they are doing in Syria". The US has given support to groups that are fighting eachother. The EU needs a solution to the refugee-invasion of millions of people send by Turkey (to blackmail Europe). The war over Syria was a war over a lot of things (religion, drinking water) but fossil energy-the gas pipeline from Qatar to the EU to keep Russia limited in the EU energy-wise-should be seen as something of the past. The EU is changing towards reneweble, durable energy-economic growth is-at best-limited. The Gulf States and the United States both have become energy-exporters. Basicly one of the"bones in this dog-fight"has gone. Fighting for that Qatar-gaspipeline with the present energymarket is useless. It is a good thing whene the US is getting that point.

While there is a cease fire - there still is a major problem with a possible invasion of Syria by Turkey. This will mess up whatever cease fire is in place and Russia could actually launch a tactical nuke on Turkey to defend itself and as a member of NATO, Turkey could pull us into a war. (U.S.)
This is not the Alex Jones hour (i.e. groundless nonsense) The following is hard to confirm but likely. Obama is talking to Putin - and despite all the drama of what Putin may or may not thinking of Obama - I think both men recognize the severity and possibility of nukes in Syria. Turkey does have them and can use them in response. Never let it be said what a country has to do. If Turkey gets themselves in a mess, it is possible the U.S. and other NATO members will have the common sense to back off whether the Saudis are there with them or not. Medclinician |

It would appear that Turkey is mobilizing to invade Syria. Despite the much publicized "cease fire" in Syria and hopes for peace, the presence of Saudia Arabian forces - and a combined operation with forces of at least 150,000 troops, planes, tanks, and arms, this still could escalate and be a very dangerous situation.
It is rough trying to get "The Real News" because there is a lot of propaganda out there and yet - nothing that has come out so far has verified that the war games about to take place in Syria have been called off. There is nothing about this on mainstream media - or at least for now - nothing is coming up. Medclinician |

3/3/16 Nationwide power blackout in Syria This does not stop the news coverage from Syria. It is looking like a huge bait and switch as Russian attacks become targets to advance the Assad regime agenda. This all was a stall to let them get ready versus a real cease fire. The rebels are asking Assad be removed from office. Obviously, this is a none negotiable item and U.S. supported rebels are still being bombed by the Russians as opposed to ISIS. During the brief truce some of the resistance were playing Play Station while still on guard. Forces are still massing at the Turkey-Syrian border. Putin allegedly has not ruled out a tactical nuke if Turkey invades and it looks like they will. Turkey is a NATO nation and will definitely be citing Article 5 if this happens. http://www.nato.int/cps/en/natohq/topics_110496.htm Collective defense - Article 5The principle of collective defense is at the very heart of NATO’s founding treaty. It remains a unique and enduring principle that binds its members together, committing them to protect each other and setting a spirit of solidarity within the Alliance.

Both Turkey and Saudi Arabia can be seen as acting as if in war with Syria. The US-led coalition is also acting without Syrian (Assad) acceptence.
Via the UN security council both Turkey/Gulf States and US-coalition (as far as Turkey and KSA are not included by that coalition) can not be "corrected". But under international law their acts go against all kind of rules. http://news.yahoo.com/russia-syria-using-migrant-crisis-weapon-nato-commander-183654232.html NATO commander in a bizarre spin blames Russia for the EU refugee-crisis.

France give Saudi royal IS sponsor "Legion of Honor" medal http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-03-06/saudis-awarded-frances-highest-national-honor-fight-against-terrorism as zerohedge puts it: This would be like pinning a Blue Ribbon on Kim Jong-Un for his efforts to promote sanity and maturity in international relations.
There are no words. Another IS sponsor Turkey is trying to get all it wants from the EU for stop sending refugees. In Turkey itself Today's Zaman was taken over by Erdogan-state control. Allthough they stil manage to report on the protests against the Erdogan-dictatorship (sponsored by the EU, US, NATO) http://www.todayszaman.com/latest-news_petition-calls-on-court-to-reverse-decision-on-zaman-urges-erdogan-to-end-crackdown-on-free-press_414070.html Even high-ranking officials are getting fed up with the west sponsoring sponsors of terrorism http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-03-04/former-uk-ambassador-syria-usuk-foreign-policy-doomed-even-corrupt Turkey is supposed to be a member of the "US-led coalition fighting IS" but it is shelling Kurdish fighters in Aleppo who are fighting against IS https://www.rt.com/news/334811-turkey-shell-ypg-syria/ According to VT Turkey is sending the IS-leader to Libya http://www.veteranstoday.com/2016/03/07/embarrassed-erdogan-sends-isis-leader-to-libya-for-being-poor-houseguest/ Russia to deploy its only heavy aircraft carrier to the Mediterranean DEBKAfile March 7, 2016, 12:50 PM (IDT) Moscow is planning to send its only heavy aircraft-carrying cruiser "Admiral Kuznetsov" to the Mediterranean sea in the summer to lead a permanent naval group, said a high-ranking source in the main command of the Russian Navy. It will be upgraded for new types of aircraft and munitions, including the new MiG-29K and "other planes.” DEBKAfile: The Kuznetzov can carry forty SU-33, Mig-29 and SU-25UT fighter jets and 24 helicopters

Despite assurances for peace, the bombing continues in Aleppo, Syria. The death toll from this revolution of forces trying to remove Assad from power, has been hundreds of thousands of civilians, many of them women and children.
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/mar/12/worst-place-in-world-aleppo-ruins-four-years-syria-war This is not a fight against Isis in many ways, though Isis forces continue to fight, they are losing power in some regions. It is bombing by Russia to remove Al Nusra which is supported by the United States. This becomes very confusing in that the U.S. financed and created ISIS to topple Assad. It is possible chemical weapons, which they were told to get rid of, had been used and with all the talk of peace, Syria is still a powder-keg waiting to explode. One grows weary of the propaganda and bold faced lies from all sides. If the U.S. had gone in 2 years ago and put boots on the ground to fight, perhaps there would have been casualties. This is politically undesirable and could the current administration votes in the coming elections. They cannot fight a war with less than 200 Delta Force special forces, using drones to target leaders, and taking out prime targets. If there had not been a power vacuum in the world as well as Syria, China, Iran, North Korea, and even Russia would not be taking advantage of it and expanding their territories. Russia is in Ukraine. China is expanding in the South China Sea. North Korea is blatantly test nuclear missiles as is Iran. Why can't the Western World wake up and smell the coffee? People are dying in Syria. Most of these are not fighters. They are civilians. We stand on the brink of a possible global war which could erupt as Turkey invades Syria. It must stop or else it will reach a point of no return. Medclinician |

Turkish bombers attack northern Iraq. It may not be the invasion spoken of but despite statements that Russian anti-missiles would take down any planes entering Iraq, they completed a successful bombing mission. March 14, 2016 - 4 hours ago.

The real news - the battle for Syria and against ISIS is not over. It is their children, families, just as the youth of IS enter the conflict - that may die. This is not to suggest that children should fight or those who are young. It happened in Vietnam where many of the fighters were very young and so one never knew who was the enemy. Many were killed.
Children and weapons are shown in this video. It is a reality of this generation. It is sad when hate and conflict are passed from generation to generation. War is a terrible thing and to have to fight for one's country is a grim reminder that freedom is not free. This not a war where not only men or women who choose to fight die. The battle line has been drawn across the homes and even graveyards where thousands have been buried. Some unmarked but not forgotten. When those homes ring with sound of gunfire, when that battle line is drawn down the center of a major U.S. city or in Europe - London - Paris - Berlin - perhaps people will finally feel realize - the price of freedom. How do you feel about this? This was a shocking video for me and I almost did not put it up. I remember a time when I was at a 7-11 and saw a boy perhaps 14 with an Uzi and several others around him. These are hard times in America and Europe and refugees swarm the borders and within them are trained IS plotting to destroy and take down what has taken centuries to build. We need to be shocked. We need to be upset. We need to realize if we do not complete the battle on foreign shores we will be fighting it house to house in our own streets. Medclinician |

Despite all the hype, there has been little or no progress in the situation in Syria. Russia is back in there, even the U.S. has sent in "troops" and the hospital in Aleppo has been completely destroyed. There is no cease fire and all negotiations for one have failed.

Tensions are increasing http://www.globalresearch.ca/us-nato-military-escalation-on-russias-doorstep-deployment-of-nuclear-attack-units-moscow-has-issued-warning/5522104 and http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-04-28/russian-fighter-jet-flies-within-50-feet-us-spy-plane-over-russian-naval-base.
Underlying are conflicts about control of fossil fuels (in Ukraine, South China Sea etc). Those fossil fuels are essential for warfare. Saudi Arabia is playing a more complicated role. It had an oil-war with the US. KSA wants China to buy oil from Saudi Arabia in stead of Russia or Iran. http://www.veteranstoday.com/2016/04/27/neo-obama-went-on-a-mending-mission-to-saudi-arabia/ The US wants to remain the main global power. Russia and China claim to want to be treated as equal partners of the US. But their agenda may be that they want Asia to become the new global power. KSA-Turkey-Ukraine seem to have formed a new alliance against Russia. Both Syria, Russia, the US, IS, Turkey, KSA (or maybe even Israel) could be behind the bombing of the Alleppo hospital.

It looks like the US is splitting up Syria in a Kurdish part, an IS-part and an Assad-part. Proberbly the Kurdish part will enable Qatar and Saudi oil/gas transportation towards the EU in "competition" with Russian and Iranian energy. Plan B in full swing.
Of course the US soldiers are "frontline advisors" in contact with gunships, central command (in Turkey ? Germany ? US ?). It could be that Russia does accept this deal Turkey and Iran share the "Kurdish problem".

http://www.debka.com/article/25518/ISIS-routs-new-US-backed-Syrian-force-at-Abu-Kemal According to Debka another US-created "rebel-army" did fail in the war for Syria. The New Syrian Army (NSyA) was send from Jordan to the Iraq-Syria border to stop (pro)Iran forces in Iraq and Syria getting a land-link.
IS was informed, did destroy that "rebel army" took the US weapons. (Pro) Iran forces are now targetting the IS in the area. The US goal was not to fight IS but to fight Assad and Iran. The NSyA was attacked by Russian planes. http://www.veteranstoday.com/2016/07/01/exclusive-american-special-forces-sas-captured-by-isis-at-al-bukamal-syria/ According to Veterans Today US and UK special forces were taken prison by IS. https://southfront.org/international-military-review-syria-june-30-2016/ South Front has the story that the NSyA did not have the aim to keep control of the area they attacked and the pull-back into the deser was part of the plan-at least according to the NSyA. Another South Front story https://southfront.org/isis-wants-to-control-key-trade-route-for-oil-to-europe/ IS wants to control the oil routes. (This may mean that IS will get more active in SE Asia. http://www.veteranstoday.com/2016/07/02/china-strengthens-ties-with-iran/ China is doing more energy and weapon deals with Iran. If the US/IS wants to effect seatransport here the CIA will put IS in SE Asia. China, Russia, Iran-and others-are seeing the IS as a US/Saudi proxy army, a welcome-created-excuse in the "war on terror" http://www.voltairenet.org/article192703.html wich only brings more terror. https://www.superstation95.com/index.php/world/1574) |
