The U.S. foreign policy in Syria has been ineffective is either stopping Isis or deposing President Assad. Once more we are at a flashpoint which could easily escalate into a world war.  This made more more clear as jets had to scramble as "U.S.-led  coalition aircraft" mobilized to protect ground forces.

As the U.S. continues to support groups which rebel against the regime - an incident could lead to a declaration of war.

It is interesting to see how Turkey changes its position on Assad in Syria http://www.veteranstoday.com/2016/08/20/press-tv-fighting-in-hasakah-foreshadows-realignment-of-middle-east-war/ The Kurdish were backed by Israel and the US in Syria. If the Kurds can not make a deal with Russia (or Assad) they have a big problem (with Turkey, Iran, Syria and Iraq).

Video gone viral on independent media as well.
Omran - injured but alive

The Killing Continues - Aleppo - Syria

This is what was posted by Assad following release of this video on YouTube

The Truth about this little boy right here: This is propaganda (click read more)!!!!!!!!!!!! Links and evidence provided below. The boy was used as a propaganda piece by the jihadist affiliated terror group known as the "white hats" to stir up anti-Assad sentiment (because he is winning). The person who took the picture of the kid is a Jihadist, the same bastard that beheaded the 12 year old a weeks back. https://twitter.com/theLemniscat/status/766351586331328513 https://twitter.com/walid970721/status/766405725920919553 https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CqL2UTRXYAEIw7X.jpg

contrapoint:

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/ct-aleppo-boy-brother-dies-20160820-story.html

"This is Omran," CNN's Kate Bolduan said Thursday, her voice breaking as she introduced the footage. "He's alive. We wanted you to know."

Less widely shared was the story's devastating postscript. On Saturday, activists said, Omran's 10-year-old brother, Ali, died from wounds sustained in the same airstrike, launched by forces allied to the government of Syrian President Bashar Assad.

Western media is using images of one boy made by fighters who recently beheaded another boy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jifS0fi9WB8&feature=share. The US/NATO is loosing the war for oil in the middle east. http://www.fort-russ.com/2016/08/from-words-to-deeds-tehran-beijing.html?m=1. Obama did loose control over the CIA, NSA etc ? http://www.mintpressnews.com/former-cia-analyst-ray-mcgovern-obama-afraid-cia-nsa/214602/

It is time that the western war criminals, Obama, Bush, Blair, Aznar and many others will be brought to justice. Western media has acted as a means of propaganda and an outlet of lies. http://yournewswire.com/americans-bombarded-with-as-much-propaganda-as-north-koreans/

Politics-as elections are showing in the US, Germany, France and elsewere-do not bring the right people to power. It is a negative choice; which candidate will do the lesser damage. Economic power is not democratic but on the bases of money-even if it is bloodmoney from wars, drugs and slavery.

Will this http://rbth.com/international/2016/08/26/turkey-has-gone-further-than-promised-in-syria-says-moscow_624453 have anything to do with Russia mobilizing 300.000 troops ? https://www.superstation95.com/index.php/world/1911, https://www.superstation95.com/index.php/world/1908

Turkey invaded Syria as a NATO-member with support of the "US-led coalition" and "supporting the Free Syrian Army" wich is IS under a different name. The excuse is fighting IS, reality is fighting the several Kurdish groups in Syria (now supported by Kurdish fighters from Iraq http://www.debka.com/article/25637/All-out-Turkish-Kurd-war-Barazani-goes-to-Tehran ) and the Syrian Arab Army.

Developments in the Ukraine and South- and East China Sea indicate that Russia-Iran-China (and a large group of other countries) are getting tired of the US "plan-B" strategy with coups in Ukraine, Brazil, spread of oil/gas wars.

Superstation expects military action from the Russian-Iranian-China coalition after the coming (september 4 and 5) G20 summit in China http://www.g20.org/English/ and http://www.g20.org/English/Dynamic/201608/t20160828_3233.html guests.

(DJ) Such military action could be limited to Ukraine and Syria (kicking out the Turkish/NATO-forces out of Syria) and maybe-with a Bagdad invitation-Iraq. Goal could be to "make clear who is "the boss", to end endless "western" interventions in third world countries in the interest of a western elite. (And the Russia-Iran-China intervention is in the interest of their elite. It could even mean that Assad has to step down to be replaced by a puppet for the new elite.) Another goal-securing the energy market, end of US-energy link, sell of weapons.

Will this be "World War 3"? No, I do not think that Europe will follow the US if the US-just before the november elections-would decide for war. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-08-29/there-will-be-blood-whole-game-about-containing-russia-china (Berlin-Moscow-Bejing trade-block) It could be another break (just like TTIP) between the US and the EU. ("Shock-and-awe"but now from another side.)

Turkish intervention in Syria has caused more fighting inside Turkey, not less. Turkey may have to reconsider its position towards Russia, Syria, Iran. If Turkey would start fighting with Russian, Iran, Syrian (and Chinese ?) forces in Syria they now what to expect-a war they can not win.

Economicly "the West" has a lot of problems, the US is facing 3 (three !!!) Atlantic storms-wich will do a lot of dammage.
We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

Cooperation agreement on Syria between U.S. and Russia

comment: The bottom line here is that one of the key ways to improve the world situation is diplomacy. The first step in normalizing any foreign policy which has been abysmal in the past is focus on what can be agreed on. The conflict in Syria is costing a lot of money, killing many people, and the U.S. has lost a great deal of respect over it.

A priority is reducing the chances of a militray confrontation between U.S. and Russia in Syria and mount a join campaign to stop ISIS (will they ever stop calling it ISIL?)

You won't see this on the mainstream - all nations pursue the best interest of their own countries. This is a reality. Well, at least the U.S. used to under better leadership. Putin does not have a shoe beating on a podium and is not screaming "we will bury you." That was the Cold War.  What a terrible thought - and one which chills many people is that the U.S. and Russia could try and work together rather than be enemies. No one trusts anyone - but we need to start somewhere.

There has been an attack on a UN convoy on its route towards Aleppo on monday.evening What exactly happened is very unclear. After the attack the US is attacking Russia without giving convincing proof.

I do understand that the attacked convoy was on its way (from Damascus ?) to Aleppo, the attack took place in the early part of the evening. Trucks were unloaded or parked in "moderate rebel controlled" terretory SW of Aleppo.

The attack co-incided with the end of a ceasefire, a rebeloffensive in the area. There were more transports in the area, some of them monitored by Russian drones.

The Syrian airforce is believed not to be able to do night attacks from the air. But later accounts of this story did not rule out that there were planes flying over but it was a ground attack.

In the past caid-onvoys were used to send food and even weapons to rebels. All sides in this conflict are capable of doing this attack and have been lying in the past.

In my opinion since the US want to give the world an image of "bad Russians" and "bad-Assad" I think it is quite likely the US played a role in this attack. (Wether CIA or any other US (controled) group, maybe Turkey ?). In the MH17 dossier and the Sarin-gas attacks in eastern Damascus 2013 the western story turned out to be mostly/total propaganda.

Support for the US-regime chance war in Syria is disappearing. It will be a matter of time before Europe will come of sending Syrian refugees to the US-since the US started the middle east wars.

A (cristian ?) Israeli news site trying to get a finger behind what is happening in Syria https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJ27LFgNVtU

On the story of the attack by the US-led western coalition on forces in eastern Syria in wich over 60 Syrian government soldiers were killed Denmark, Australia and the UK admit they may have been involved. http://russia-insider.com/en/open-season-syrian-soldiers-denmark-australia-and-britain-all-say-took-part-deadly-deir-ez-zor-raid The attack was based on US-information and carried out by two F16's and two A10 ground attack planes. F16's are in a lot of air forces but A10's are more limited.

The attack was from a western base in Iraq and did breach governments positions near an airfield. IS overtook those positions 7 minutes after the attack. The attack stopped after Russian S300 anti-aircraft missiles were aimed on the western planes. (A catholic, russian orthodox  (?) news group-wich may have people in the area-on this story http://katehon.com/article/third-world-war-has-never-been-so-close)

Since the main stream media fail to do a proper job christian jews, catholics and other "niche"groups may provide some info that comes closer to the truth.

Did Russia attack a command-center in Aleppo and kill several western military coordinating the "moderate rebels and IS" in the regime-change oil war in Syria ? http://www.defconwarningsystem.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6552

Russia did loose at least three intelligence officers in the US ("western") attack on Syrian forces last saterday. http://en.farsnews.com/newstext.aspx?nn=13950631001391 and https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/20160921/1045551904/syria-russia-us-air-strike.html :

"He also quoted the Turkish newspaper Milli Gazete as claiming that the death toll from the air strike allegedly included at least three Russian intelligence officers, who interrogated captured members of the Daesh terrorist group Daesh at a reconnaissance point.

It was revealed during the interrogations that Daesh terrorists were collaborating with Washington, which is why the reconnaissance point was bombed out. © REUTERS/ RODI SAID War Against Daesh on Hold: Turkey, US Need to Find Common Ground on Syria First If the information is confirmed, Russia's reaction will hardly be limited to initiating an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council, according to Khrolenko."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V88V5ILrerE kerry-the US is now calling in the UN for a no-fly zone for Syria and Russia in northern Syria. Israeli News Live (also) does not believe a word of the US claim that Russia attacked a aid-convoy monday night. It proberbly was not an attack from the air but from land by US-backed rebels and than blaming Russia for it.

The NATO invasion inside Syria is against all international law. The aftermath of 9/11 since 2001 has killed more than two million people in a US-led war for oil against Russia and China. IS, just as al-quada, is a proxy cia terrorist organization.

As the presenter of Israeli News Live asks: are we not already in world war 3 with the US using proxy armies attacking Russia indirectly ? I think Russia, China and many other countries have had enough of US/NATO agression. Things can escalate the coming days.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-09-21/russia-deploys-flagship-aircraft-carrier-syria-coast

http://theduran.com/how-the-us-israel-al-qaeda-and-isis-work-together-in-the-war-against-syria/ from this link: I have personally met a Syrian soldier who survived the US coalition bombing in Deir-ez-Zour.   He told Syrian Formal TV that US drones were flying over the airbase for more than four and a half hours before the US aircraft made their “mistake”. He said that he originally thought they were scanning the area to help the fight against ISIS.  However he gradually realised that the drones were actually undertaking surveillance of the base itself – of its equipment, tanks, ammunition, etc.  Later, the US aircraft destroyed all this whilst the ISIS terrorists were screaming Allah Akbar!

That brought back memories of the US led coalition drone that flew over the Presidential Palace in Lattakia, which ourair defenses shot down over a year ago.

Would any sovereign country accept foreign powers bombing its army in its own land?

Add to that the Turkish troops in northern Syria who are – under UN cover – wanting to send 40 trucks of who knows what into Syria!

The UN prevented the Syrian authorities from checking these trucks, but they were still labeled “humanitarian aid.”What kind of aid is it really and who is it heading to? “Moderate” suicide bombers? ISIS?

After the US attack on Syrian Arab Army positions last saterday, killing also several Russians, the war for Syria is escalating.

Trusted Sources very close to the DEFCON Warning System are confirming reports that Russian Warships carried out cruise missile strikes on an intelligence bunker. We originally received this information via Fars News yesterday and dismissed the information. Today we received high level sourced information confirming that an event had happened but was not specific about details. Originally it was reported that the nationalities killed were US, Israeli, Turkish, Saudi, Qatari and British officers. Our sources say that they cannot confirm the nationalities of the killed officials, but we know that if intelligence officers were killed, they were most likely coalition. Information from our sources continue to trickle in and we will update our statements as we get better information.

At this time, no response from any coalition nation has been released publicly. Main Stream media has also not begun to report this information. We will continue to monitor this situation and will report the most up to date information.

This situation remains dynamic.

At this time the DEFCON Level will remain at 5.

A next development after saterday the US killing several Russian officers in eastern Syria and (proberbly) last night/yesterdays Russian attack on the western command center in Alleppo could be "a major humanitarian disaster somewere in Syria (gas attack story again like the 2013 western media campain)" organized by the US(rebels) blaming Assad and "bad" Russia.

Will "Russia" shoot down a civilian airliner somewere in the middle east (at least according to the US) ? Will Russia attack other UN aid-convoys, peacefull US special forces inside Syria (without any legal status) ?

There will be some (media)reaction providing the US with an excuse for further escalation.

Defcon is having a good discussion-line about the present situation. http://www.defconwarningsystem.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6552&start=100

Some of the latest developments in the western/gulf states US-led oil-war against Syria.

Syria and Russia seem to speed up war efforts against western backed special forces/rebels. It will be a matter of time before Syria will see confrontations with Turkish forces in the north or Israeli forces in the west. Maybe Jordan will stay out of Syria. Iraq will feel increasing Russian and Iranian pressure to send out western forces.

On the aidconvoy the US claims it was attacked by Russia (and therefore a no-flyzone above Syria for Russian and Syrian planes was needed according to kerry.) http://www.moonofalabama.org/2016/09/syria-the-aid-convoy-attack-points-to-further-escalation-.html

https://syrianfreepress.wordpress.com/2016/09/22/deirezzour-saa-survivor/ Last saturdays US attack on Syrian Army positions included recognize flight with a drone and killing woonded Syrian soldiers with machine gun fire. (DJ even if this could be propaganda the time for talks between the US (plan-B) and Russia is gone.

Will China get more involved in Syria. I do not doubt that China has intelligence in Syria to ask Uyghur-Chinese-IS fighters taken prisoner questions about all kinds of things. http://russia-insider.com/en/politics/china-joins-russia-syria-shaping-new-anti-terrorist-alliance/ri16618 Several thousends of IS fighters come from Russia and China. That is one of the reasons why Russia and China deal with this the way they do. An IS victory in Iraq and Syria, IS presence in Afghanistan is a serious risk for China and Russia. China has oil-interests in Libya attacked by IS.

Further escalation, also in Europe-a major operation planned to start october 10 ? From Poland NATO will send reinforcements to Ukraine ? Russia testing ICBM technologies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_f4GQwhVBrk (Israeli News Live)

Confirmation on the Russian attack on a "Fields Operation Room" from the western coalition near Aleppo. That center did send US planes attacking Syrian forces in eastern Syria last saturday. http://www.veteranstoday.com/2016/09/23/us-israelisis-control-center-wiped-out-by-russian-missiles/

http://www.veteranstoday.com/2016/09/23/syrian-army-discovers-turkish-manual-instructing-terrorists-in-use-of-nukes/ Syria once had some freedom of press. The Turkish jihadi book maybe once wes legal in Syria.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-09-23/caught-tape-did-us-target-syrian-aid-convoy-hellfire-missile The attack on an aid convoy monday, west of Aleppo was done by a US-drone from Incerlik Air Base Turkey. (The US-kerry trying to use that attack as an excuse for a Syrian/Russian no-fly zone above Syria makes clear wich side the US chooses. )

https://www.superstation95.com/index.php/world/2093 All of Syria is within the 2000 km range of Pakistans Ghauri-2 missiles (+ 30Kt nuclear warheads), but the main targets for Pakistan are in India. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have "strong relations". Without Pakistan there would not be Taliban in Afghanistan, without Saudi Arabia Al-Queda and IS would not excist. Both countries are "friends of the west".

http://www.debka.com/article/25676/Russian-Syrian-Aleppo-tactics-await-the-South According to Debka Russia and Syria might be planning to "push out" the Sunni-population in eastern Aleppo. The over a 100.000 Sunni-civilians would be forced to go to a "Turkish/Russian/Syrian safe zone" in northern Syria. (The "rebels" proberbly can choose between prison and getting killed). According to Debka Syria has the same kind of plans for the Israeli/Jordan border region. Sunni-citizens to be pushed into "safe zones" close to the border.
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-37460849 cutting of water supply means that Syria and Russia want to end the battle for Aleppo in the coming days. (This plan may have been part of the Russian-US peaceplan ? http://www.pravdareport.com/world/asia/syria/23-09-2016/135690-Syria-0/

Several thousends of Russian forces are supposed to be fighting in the Aleppo-region (?) http://www.globalresearch.ca/video-syrian-anti-terrorist-operation-in-eastern-aleppo-coordinated-with-russian-military-advisers/5547515. US and other NATO special forces proberbly not that far away from the fighting (and on the "rebel side" fighting the Syrian Arab Army and the Russian "advisors", "volunteers" etc. and regular Russian Army ???)

The Russian attack on a western/rebel operation center near Aleppo came after that center was the info-basis for the US/IS-attack on Syrian http://www.pravdareport.com/opinion/columnists/19-09-2016/135646-us_massacre-0/ (and Russian) forces in eastern Syria. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STN7E2yREjI (Israeli News Live) and http://www.pravdareport.com/video/23-09-2016/135692-syria-0/ (DJ the attack on Syrian (and Russian/Chinese (???) intelligence) forces in Eastern Syria by the US was a decleration of war for Russia (and proberbly also for Iran and Syria). Turkey (as a NATO-member !!!) can deal with the Kurds in Syria (and Iraq) when it cooperates with Russia and Syria.

(DJ) Although Bush and Blair are the ones who started the illegal war against Iraq, Obama is the main person responsible for the wars in Ukraine, Libya, Syria, Yemen and the continuation of wars in Afghanistan, Iraq.

This is scary. It truly mystifies me how people are agonizing about crazy people shooting people (which is very sad and there are not a few nut cases in the U.S.) while we could be on the virge of war. Is the administation on a different channel than our generals? You simply cannot have it both ways. You cannot support terrorists to take out Asaad (no matter what he has done or will do) as we get bombed by Syria and possibly Russia and not have a blow up. What are these people thinking?

If a jet goes down on either side, will they say - that's okay?  It was an accident. When we have hostile forces buzzing ships and planet at less than 30 feet, someone is going to crash into each other and all the readiness things will kick in.

A very brief clip but to the point -

In eastern Syria sept 17 the US attack on Syrian Army defending an airfield against IS killed not only 62 Syrian government soldiers but also 20 Iranian troops and about 12 Russian commando's. According to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYwzL9l_LVQ The attack lasted 50 minutes (17.00 till 17.50 local time, I understand 17.57 IS forces moved into the bombed area suggesting communications between US and IS (From the command center near Aleppo wich was destroyed a few days later by Russia ?). The attack did not stop with two Russian warnings only when Russia got ready to shoot the US (most likely, F16's are widespread but only a few countries (Denmark, UK, Australia) have A10 ground-attack planes-some of the countries claiming they did the bombing do not even have F16's ! )planes the attack stopped.

https://www.superstation95.com/index.php/world/2107 Syria demands Turkey to pull back its forces from Syria. (DJ: Assad does not want strong Kurdish groups in northern Syria-Turkey is doing a job for Assad).

https://www.rt.com/news/360590-ahrar-sham-chemical-attack-syria/ Rebels (backed by west) planning to use chemical weapons (a.o. white phosphorus the US sold to Saudi Arabia) against civilians. Russia and Syria expect that "the west" will try to put the blame on them (for the interest of western fossil fuels industry, selling of weapons etc.-a fierce competition with Russia and China who also want to secure their "economical interests".) see also http://www.veteranstoday.com/2016/09/25/ahrar-al-sham-al-nusra-plans-to-launch-chemical-attack-on-civilians-blame-it-on-syria-govt/

http://www.debka.com/article/25684/Iran-gains-Mediterranean-bases-in-Italy-and-Syria Less US navy ships in Italian ports is less income. Italy is interested in also using Iranian ports. (It is all about money !)

http://www.voltairenet.org/article193367.html Eastern Syria is the link between Damascus-Bagdad-Teheran, the western part of the "New Silk Road". By keeping IS in position there the US is blocking Russian, Iranian and Chinese plans.

https://southfront.org/overview-of-military-situation-in-aleppo-city-on-september-29/ False-flag -US will claim Russia used chemical weapons in the battle for Aleppo ?

DJ; Both Russia and the US have soldiers in Syria-in the Aleppo region. There is a very real risk of direct fighting between the US and Russia in Syria. http://www.veteranstoday.com/2016/09/28/hd-footage-of-ongoing-combat-in-aleppo/

Is loosing the battle for Aleppo loosing the Syrian war ? Does that effect US control of oil and energy ? The petro-dollar ? Does loosing Syria open the door for China's New Silk Road ?

(DJ) I hope that in the chain of command from both Russia and the US (and Israel with 200 nukes) there is enough common sense to de-escalate.

The war for Syria is growing into a US-Russia conflict. http://www.debka.com/article/25696/US-Russia-on-brink-of-military-showdown-in-Syria-, http://theduran.com/us-prepares-tell-russia-no-more-talking-as-obama-prepares-war-strategy-syria/

There is not much support for a major war for Syria. http://www.moonofalabama.org/2016/09/syria-us-propaganda-shams-start-to-openly-fail-.html. The US/west is supporting "rebels" that are not very different from the IS the US/west claims to fight.

Today is the funeral of Shimon Peres in Jerusalem. http://www.debka.com/newsupdatepopup/18303/State-funeral-for-Shimon-Peres-in-Jerusalem There will be a lot of conversation and discussions about the prevention of war (hopefully) and wich country will do what in a "major war scenario".

https://www.rt.com/news/361141-us-nuclear-concern-russia/ An escalation of this conflict-Syria is not the basic conflict-it is about the US being the only super-power or has the US to share the world with (a.o.) Russia and China-proberbly can become a large global conflict. From the South China Sea to Ukraine. Under such circumstances countries like North Korea can become very unpredictable.

A North Korean missile attack on a US bases in South Korea or Japan can be misinterpreted as a Russian or Chinese attack. An Israeli ( or Saudi) attack on Iranian or Hezbollah forces in Syria or Lebanon could be seen as an US attack. Given the tensions between India and Pakistan things look very "dark" at the moment.

Reposting this which was mentioned by Hillary Clinton in the debate last night. It is a reality that Aleppo is a human tragedy and a caualty of the terrible war in Syria. There are no winners when the cost of this conflict are women and children who do not know or understand the neverending bombs which have destroyed their home. If the true horror of such a war is ever brought to American shores perhaps then people will begin to understand. As terrible as 9-11 was and two huge buildings collapsed and thousands died, imagine if all of New York were reduced to rubble as Allepo is. Much like it has been said - if those over 30 were required to go fight in wars - there would be no more wars. We live now in a global economy and cultural planet. Everything effects us - all religions - cultures - races - genders and countries. We must effectively learn to work together to end it - or there will never be peace.

Russia is to build a nuclear power plant in Turkey, also other energy-investments from Russia in Turkey. Erdogan is looking after Turkish interests-wich will effect the Syria-war. Russia has been talking about the use of Incerlik-airbase for Russian aircraft. https://www.rt.com/news/362285-putin-erdogan-turkey-meeting/ Oil-prices going up is good news for Russia, Gulf states, Venezuela.  http://www.debka.com/newsupdatepopup/18461/Putin-and-Erdogan-sign-Turkish-gas-pipeline-to-Europe-deal

The diplomatic offensive from Russia and Iran towards Turkey can make Turkey giving up support for US backed jihadists in Syria. Also the US may loose the chance to operate inside Syria from Turkey (with aircraft and special forces-in Iraq the US still has a large army presence, also in Jordan and Saudi Arabia eventhough some of the US bases are getting hit by Yemen missiles. https://southfront.org/footage-houthi-missile-hit-saudi-air-base-which-hosts-us-military-personnel/

http://www.voltairenet.org/article193595.html Russo-Egypt army excercises id desert warfare against jihadis (Egypt is facing IS in Sinai and western Egypt. Russia to open an old Soviet Navy base in western Egypt ? https://www.rt.com/news/362243-russia-military-base-egypt/. ) Russia also (with Iran) present in Yemen (in the war with Saudi Arbia/Gulf States (and US).

https://www.rt.com/op-edge/361915-syria-conflict-russia-china-us/ It is likely China has information gathering in Syria-several thousends of the IS fighters come from western China. (Around 20.000 IS fighters have Russian nationality). China is expected to give medical aid and training to the Syrian Arab Army. It is also very likely China has some sort of Navy-presence in the Eastern mediterrean. On the diplomatic front China may have become a line of communication between the US and Russia. One of the reasons for the US not attacking Russian positions in Syria may have been that China warned for consequences (also from China).

A major US-led escalation in Syria could mean war with Russia, Iran and China. The EU will not follow the US in such a war. Turkey is doing bussiness with Russia and the Gulf States are loosing the Yemen-war. The US may keep some influence in Iraq, but for Syria at the moment the US did loose that war.
http://www.voltairenet.org/article193570.html Did Russia shoot down an Israeli drone above Syria ? Did Russia fire "warning shots" at a US Navy ship near Yemen ? (Yemen is close to the (small) link betwee the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean-a major oil-transport route).

In addition to the current escalation in Yemen, there is heavy bombing and another serious flash point in Syria.

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-10-24/oil-gas-war-over-syria-4-maps

The first presents the effort by many countries to eliminate ISIS control over the large Iraqi city of Mosul. A remarkably frank remark made in this map is "An escape corridor into Syria will be left for Daesh [ISIS] so they can vacate Mosul" - an admission that the U.S. - Saudi - Qatari team want the ISIS jihadists who are in Mosul to relocate into Syria to assist the U.S. - Saudi - Qatari effort there to overthrow and replace the Assad government:

The West, collectively, is a fox in a hen-house, a man who shot his trusting Best Friend in the back, a sociopath and a psychopath, a monster. Its policy is formulated by the puppets of the lobbies which dominate its governments as its media peddles lies to shape public opinion to whitewash its crimes and invent an orge to justify the “us” by manipulating fear of “them”.

That Russia is preparing for war is no secret.

They’ve deployed a fleet toward Syria that, ironically enough, is set to arrive just before the US election. The Russian government held a massive civil defense drill just over a week ago that involved 40 million civilianspreparing for biological, chemical, and nuclear attacks.

Now, Lt. Gen Evgeny Buzhinsky, former head of the Russian ministry of defence’s international treaties department, said that Russia and the US areon the brink of full-on war:

“If we talk about the last Cold War, we are currently somewhere between the erection of the Berlin Wall and the Cuban Missile crisisIn other words, teetering on the brink of war, but without the mechanisms to manage the confrontation.”

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.
