Why is the Flu not reported by CDC & gov May2Sept

   It has been almost impossible to track outbreaks of the flu during the summer in the U.S. due to a shutdown of weekly reports and numbers from May-September 2015. 

People are still getting the flu. Also last year they almost stopped counting or reporting adult deaths. This is a major change and simply not telling how many people are sick or dying does not erase the problem. 

Right now a new flu (see other thread) is spreading in the U.S. and we not only have no formal counts but on the search engine nothing comes up for even regional outbreaks of the flu in schools or prisons. Is this just me that can't find this data, or is it buried in Google where it is really hard to find?

Here is our surveillance map from the CDC. It stopped being current May 20th 4 months ago.

Is there anything here that tells us about how many people this week have the flu or what areas have it the most?

Perhaps in October there will be more information.

Currently the flu is circulating in the United States making some sick, and sending people to the hospital. Never in the history of disease tracking have they stopped counting adult deaths - gone silent for months so that the American public don't even know whether the vaccine being pushed matches the flu that is circulating.
