hope that answer you .......PRWEB) - (PRWEB) March 15, 2006 -- Scientific research and thousands of years of history can't be wrong---and that's exactly what we have behind each and every product that is distributed by Noni-Natural-Cure in partnership with Tahitian Noni international. For 2000 years, the natives of French Polynesia have used the noni plant for its incredible health benefits. Now that history has been recorded, researched, and harnessed into products. Reports indicate that Morinda citrifolia (noni plant), is helping millions of people worldwide enjoy great health benefits.
In a recent poster presentation exhibited at the American Heart Association's 46th Annual Conference on Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology and Prevention, noted Noni researcher Dr. Mian-Ying Wang introduced initial clinical evidence demonstrating that TAHITIAN NONI® Juice may play a role in helping to lower total cholesterol and triglycerides in an adult population of smokers at high risk of heart disease. “We chose smokers because they tend to have higher total cholesterol levels and are at higher risk for heart disease than non-smokers,” said Dr. Wang, M.D., M.S., lead author of the study and assistant research professor at the University of Illinois, College of Medicine in Rockford. The study was approved by the University of Illinois College (UIC) Institutional Review Board. This particular study was a double-blind, placebo controlled, randomized clinical trial with men and women who were current smokers with elevated cholesterol levels. Dr Wang’s study showed that after one month of drinking THAITIAN NONI Juice, there was evidence of reduced cholesterol and triglycerides levels in the subjects. After drinking one to four ounces of the noni juice daily, noni drinker participant’s average total cholesterol dropped from 235.2 mg/dL to 190.2 mg/dL, and average triglyceride levels declined from 242.5 mg/dL to 193.5 mg/dL. The placebo group’s average total cholesterol and triglyceride levels did not significantly change. According to Wang, these results are a strong indicator that noni juice may play a role in helping to lower total cholesterol and triglyceride levels among smokers with elevated cholesterol levels. “In a future study, a large clinical trial in the general population should be conducted to consider the long-term effect on total cholesterol in healthy people,” Wang said. Noni has been used for thousands of years in ancient Polynesia for its healthy benefits, and is now the focus of ongoing scientific and clinical investigation. About Noni-Natural-Cure Noni-Natural-Cure is an Independent distributor of Tahitian Noni International. Tahitian Noni International is a global, search-driven products company that was the first to introduce the health benefits of the noni plant to the world outside Tahiti.
