I was wondering, when Bf is becoming pandemic there hopefully will be a short time (days? weeks?) before the shops are empty.

What should one do to be able to consume food safely after it is bought?

- Tins cans and glass jars can be rinsed with hot water and bleach

- meat and vegetables should be cooked (for how long??)

- bread, fruit and other things that are normally eaten without further processing at home should be avoided I suppose...

Freezing things won't kill the virus, but what about putting something in the microwave or oven?

What about things in cans and jars that are normally eaten without further heating it at home, will that be a risk? (someone in the plant were it is put in cans may have sneezed on it?)

What about  leaving it in a container for 2 weeks at 22 degrees Celcius? (the virus is supposed to 'die' after a week at that temp).

Does anybody know what is safe and what is not?
