I stumbled onto this site which is very interesting...it has constant updates on emergencies that are going on in the world.  Shows bird flu.  Here it is.......

With 6 chickens and 3 ducks I'm being buried alive in eggs here. I would love to give 2 or 3 hens to somebody who would like some eggs every morning. You must be able to pick them up tonight because I'm headed out of town. Would like them to go together because chickens like company and because solo birds introduced to an existing flock tend to get pecked to death.
Experienced chicken handlers prefered but I can lend you a good book on chickens if you are just starting out. Raising chickens is pretty easy and fun. You will need to keep then on a timer light to keep producing eggs at this time of year. These birds were hatched in July of 2005

Or if you would just like some eggs I've got 4 dozen in the fridge, chicken or duck. Bring a carton.
