Hi everyone,
I know there has been some discussion re protective eyewear. But I still don't have a very clear idea of what is needed. Questions: I bought 2 pairs of protective glasses. The manufacturing company said they would call back Mon to answer my question as to whether I can use the glasses, then soak them in a bleach/water solution and use again. They are labelled disposable, but I would have to have soooo many of them if I tossed them each time I wore them. Any ideas about this challenge? I have a lead on some glasses that use disposable lenses and the frame can be disinfected. Maybe that is a possibility. Wondering how airtight the fit has to be. Some people are using swimming goggles, but somehow that doesn't seem like a good idea to me. Anyone done some research on goggles and if so, what are your recommendations? Thanks. Rocky |

I've looked into goggles and have had trouble finding a long-wearing goggle with a comfortable fit that has minimal ventilaton, space for Rx glasses and optimal protection. I also didn't find information about disinfecting the device for reuse. I think I will buy several and try light alcohol, antibacterial soap and/or UV lamp disinfection on them, if needed.

There's a lot to learn, just my opinions here.

Boy, looks like this is an under-researched area. Yes, I do wear glasses, so
swim goggles are out. I am still trying to find out some info. Hope others will join me so we have lots of info for everyone. Rocky |

I read that part of the usefulness of goggles and masks is actually to make sure you keep your own hands away from eyes and mouth.
Any membrane area can be an entry point, so when you are in 'infection prevention mode', keep your hands away from your mouth, nose, eyes, ears, and the private parts of the body. On a similar note it may be worth adopting a simple hygiene strategy that has served some civilisations for a long time. Designate one hand for touching parts of yourself and the other for touching other things. Edited by elbows |

Rocky, I just got my masks from your company. Thank you! Great quick delivery. I only ordered 10. I'm trying to find out if I should get more of a lesser expensive model now. I can't afford to buy tons of that kind if I can only wear them once. What do you recommend? And did you find out about goggles? I want those too! I picked up some cheap cleaning gloves at the grocery store today. Don't know if there is anything better. |

Hello Hope, glad we could be of service to you . We wil shortly include a
less expensive N95mask on our website, as well as the Triosan, which still remains our number one choice. I will post here when we get them in stock. I agree, I want as many top of the line masks (and I think the Triosan is just that) as I can afford. But I also want a large amount of a less expensive N95 mask. It won't take the place of the Triosan, but would be masks I would use in what I consider a less dangerous environments. Will use Triosan if I have to care for an ill family member or have to go somewhere outside our immediate area. But want to have enough less effective but less expensive masks for daily use, whatever that may be. I don't know how often I will have to change masks, so want to have a lot at my disposal. Heck, I don't even know how many of my kids will try to get here to hunker down. What I fear is that they will try, and then not be able to get through some kind of quarantine barrier. So much uncertainty. I guess we just must prepare for the worst but keep our sense of hope and our confidence that our common sense will prevail. Rocky
