There has been very little news on the mainstream about the seriousness of the outbreaks of Leicester in England. Yet, the situation  is serious and continuing into March. After an initial outbreak on February 23, 2014

we have a second story of a 34 year old Leicester mum who rapidly deteriorated in the hospital from a case of the Swine Flu and died.

Tributes have been paid to a mum-of-two who has died after contracting swine flu.

Jane Garner, 35, of Queniborough, died at Glenfield Hospital last Saturday after falling ill about five weeks earlier.

Doctors told her she had swine flu and had developed pneumonia as a complication of the virus.

After receiving Ecmo (extra corporeal membrane oxygenation) treatment – which involves circulating a patient's blood outside the body and adding oxygen artificially, giving the lungs a chance to recover from major illnesses – Jane appeared to be getting better.

However, her condition deteriorated rapidly in the hours leading up to her death.

comment: One of the classic and deceptive parts of the new nastier strain of H1N1 that emerged in Texas early on is getting better and then a rapid plunge in condition and then death.  Despite efforts to save lives, this Flu can be relentless and over months take someone out.
