I have to disagree. They are humans and I think most emotionally healthy humans don't avoid honour, appreciation,respect and /or recognition for their good works. It is society's positive reinforcement after all.
Don't devalue what they do because the rest of us applaud them!

It is true though, it's just not the right place for it. Like I recommended earlier, Astro, Everything Under the Moon is the best forum site to discuss that about. It's a witchcraft, wiccan, pegan, and new aged forum. Your digressions are best for that site. I do quite like the relevant posts you make though.

Well, it had been several years since I did any active posting on this forum. I posted information about Ebola that, I strongly suspect, is information that no one else on this forum has access to. I posted information directly from those who are there in the affected area. Rather than keeping the focus on the outbreak and how to deal with disaster situations in general, this has degenerated into a discussion about the fact that the information is being supplied by Christian missionaries.

I hope you all will understand when I say that I have better things to do than deal with this. While I appreciate the information I have found here and been able to pass along to the folks over in Sierra Leone, it is this sort of thing that led me to stop posting on any forums several years ago. I decided to "stick my toe back in the water" and now I remember why I stopped. Again, my thanks for the information I have found here, but I'm going back into "Receive Mode" only.

Is this what most folks think is LATEST NEWS relating to anything remotely associated with emerging viruses?

This site is getting so bogged down that it is going to be of very little value if we ever are ever in a situation that we need it.

I put this squarely at the feet of the folks administering/moderating. This section should be strictly for latest news relating to, or closely related to, emerging viruses as the site's title suggests.
