My first thought would be if ebola can be spread through sweating, if someone on a plane has ebola and someone sits in that seat and the virus unknowingly travels through the clothes to skin and there is just the slightest pinpoint of a break in the skin (which many people do not even realize many breaks they may have in their skin), the ebola virus can travel through the unnoticeable skin break. I don't know how likely this is, probably very low, but with a virus like ebola, I certainly wouldn't want to take any chances which is why I think they are trying to be so thorough with contact tracing even though the risk is very low because all it takes is one case going under the radar to potentially infect a very large group of people.

If you think about it, someone sitting next to someone with ebola could potentially be a nightmare also.. all it would take is for the ebola-infected to be sweating and just touch the arm rest and then someone else touch it, etc. Toilet seats also. There are so many potentials, and that's not just planes -- it's someone out in public sitting somewhere where many people are moving/traveling around this person touching the same sufaces, etc. Probably very low risk, but like any other germ or virus, surfaces can be virulent magnets.
Be the positive change that you want to see. Live it, be it, push for it.

That is why I am getting some Hospital grade wipes to wipe everything down. Always use to use Clorox wipes but they are not good enough for Ebola. Will wear a mask too.
