State Department plans to bring foreign Ebola patients to U.S.The State Department has quietly made plans to bring Ebola-infected doctors and medical aides to the U.S. for treatment, according to an internal department document that argued the only way to get other countries to send medical teams to West Africa is to promise that the U.S. will be the world’s medical backstop. Some countries “are implicitly or explicitly waiting for medevac assurances” before they will agree to send their own medical teams to join U.S. and U.N. aid workers on the ground, the State Department argues in the undated four-page memo, which was reviewed by The Washington Times. Looks like Fauci and MSF are pulling their Obama puppet strings. Starting to think Obama should take a break and just let Fauci take over altogether in running this thing to the ground. Fauci may be the top doc, but Obama needs to regain his role as commander and chief in this.

I read this and was at first in disagreement. but after reading it a second time I can see the logic behind it..... If we can guarantee that medical personnel will be given top priority, first class care (even if this means bringing them stateside) other country's will join the fight.
While i do not like it, and rarely agree with the policy's of this administration, this could work. I also noticed they said the evacuations were not for residents, just HCW, and only until the in-country hospitals could be built, or care can be given in-country. |

It's a very risky move.

I don't think it would mean other countries would join the fight, they'd just let us keep taking the risks & spending the money we don't have. And what if we get more than we can handle. One patient at a time at Emory is different than flying over 10 patients... how many are we talking about here?

Intentionally bringing cases (and a killer virus) here is a little odd. That defies all pandemic prevention procedures ever heard of. Double the military personnel and aid going into W. Africa instead. MSF already has 800 people there.

Little makes sense anymore with this... it's enough to drive a rational person mad.

Oh I agree Albert, don't get me wrong. It is dangerous policy, but in the context of fighting it over their, and encouraging other HCW to go there, it has merit, is all I am saying.

Elver: I sadly possibly agree with you. I try really hard not to believe that there are people who think like this. And who would actually enact a plan to "cull" the earth's population, but I believe that they're out there.
I think that there might be some people who have thought that what Dr. Eric Pianka said in 2006 about "using Ebola to reduce the population by 90%+" is a good idea. And they have taken Dr. Pianka's comments and maybe set up a plan to do so. https://www.lifesitenews.comews/fbi-interested-in-texas-doomsday-ecologist-who-said-ebola-the-solution-to-h - https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/fbi-interested-in-texas-doomsday-ecologist-who-said-ebola-the-solution-to-h Especially when you read the first tenet on The Georgia Guidestones, which says "to keep the earth at a population of 500,000". Whoever the person or group who set those Guidestones up, thinks the same way as Pianka too. And they obviously have money behind them to be able to put up the Guidestones. The Guidestones may or may not be crazy, but it does give one pause to think if someone believes in that cause so much that they would put up a permanent monument to it. A monument that would survive a pandemic, be it flu, ebola or even something else. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgia_Guidestones - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgia_Guidestones All of these ideas seem a little crazy, but there are some very fanatical people in the world. I try not to believe that this is possible, but the technology/bioweapons to do so are out there. Who else believes that this may be a possibility? Am I crazy to even think this? |

They should bring them to a military base with a tent hospital. They should protect the "Homeland".
