...I guess CDC got the memo that the public is sick & tired of their constant screw-ups!

ATLANTA (Reuters) - The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has introduced camera monitoring of workers in its highest-level biosafety laboratories as it seeks to restore public faith in its procedures after a series of mishaps, agency officials tell Reuters.

One lab worker inadvertently risked contracting Ebola last month when they worked with the live virus that was supposed to have been inactivated, or killed. Since last June, the Atlanta-based agency has disclosed several incidents, one in which scientists unknowingly sent potentially live anthrax to a lower-security laboratory and another in which a deadly form of bird flu was sent to an external agency's lab.

I can't believe they didn't already have surveillance cameras in the labs.

CRS,DrPH,,Kay, and Jen 147, But feel safe,to realize that our CDC has finally reached the level of technology that most 7/11s and banks have had for the last 40 years. If they are so far behind in security technology, I wonder how far they are behind they are in the proper handling of dangerous materials and Bio-hazards. The CDC has had its head stuck so far us it's own  ass in its academically pure, proven, and self righteous attitude,I wonder just how dangerous the CDC really is.

What needs to be done,is everyone at the CDC needs to fired for incompetence, from the top doctor to the lowest janitor and all of them replaced by academically ,qualified but  unknown people,so that the place can be restarted with some degree of competency.

I know that they have dropped their attitude toward the quarantine of unknown diseases and undiagnosised diseases that you CAN get better advice on how to handle these situations at about any gas station and about any beer joint. It has became a joke, because they are convinced that they know everything and the facts are that NO ONE knows everything. Johnray1
