pandemic alert level

Whats the deal from 4 to 3??

The alert level doesn't come up on iphones, nor on computers that don't support flash.  Should have done it in a jpg years ago, but too late to change it now without a lot of cost.

Hi Cobber, long story short, meant to downgrade to 3 a few months ago, but never did, and as we were considering going to level 4 with MERS, I noticed at that time we were already at 4, so moved it back down to 3.   Anyway, given the current MERS situation, have reconsidered and determined we should probably be at level 4 right now as this situation is developing faster than normal.  Therefore, we're currently back at 4.

One reason we're at 4 is because of the 3 U.S. cases in May, and the outbreak in South Korea that just started as well, indicating potential global spread underway and possible mutation.   I believe it is most likely hitting other countries at the moment, but has not yet been detected.  Surprised Canada has not Chimed in yet with a case and should very soon.
