Having once worked at Lockheed, I cringe as I go over performance comparatives and the realities that a jet - the F-35 which maybe ready in 2020 is no good to the U.S. Military as other foreign nation unveil better jets which fly and can go into combat - now.
Almost ten years ago as we negotiated contracts and submitted for high-tech development I was told that they were cutting off some disasters before it was too late. Those "preferred" contractors which were eating up most of the research projects had congress and the military upset. When and how could you pull the plug on a bad project that has already cost billions to avoid tens of billions of dollars of throwing good money into basically bad common sense ideas? We see it in the health industry, with medicines that are really dangerous and are making billions. We have troop deployments that have had no real tactical gains. Is it time to bring in a "think tank" and advanced developers to try and catch up as the U.S. and the allies may be falling behind? Matthew 5:30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. comment: No we may not be talking about Hell here religiously, but although I am not a Donald Trump supporter - who bemoans everything, the corruption in the world of defense contracts that drag on for decades and fail to stop them when things do not seem to be better. And if we do not start really spending on our defenses and support the military to defend our country it will be worse than Hell. Anyone old enough to remember Dragnet and Jack Webb? Tired of all the BS - how about "Just the facts, Ma'am" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0043194/ and The Real News - Medclinician - CWN - Well, here you go... |

don't look at the F-35 as actually bolstering our defense
think of it more as a jobs program because that is exactly what it it and have you seen the Marine Corps "Osprey" ? I've seen those things take off and land NO WAY IN HELL would I ever get on one of those flying coffins should have named them "Albatrosses" (no offense to the actual birds) |

The most important thing in terms of the U.S. and ally military and defenses is an accurate evaluation of the situation and some type of appropriate immediate response. The contracts to produce the aircraft and missiles to protect the nation are not to create jobs or feed money into already massive companies - it is to defend us against increasingly advanced technology and for us to develop more advanced jets, missiles, and defenses now - not in years. As I have stated MANY times I am not a TRUMP backer - but we either have to immediately begin to change programs and things in effect for years or the U.S. and their allies will fall behind. As they wait and are skeptical of the F-35 - this single engine unreliable plane is going to be hard pressed in dog fights to take on others as well being to designed to evade "old radar" while newer lower frequency and detection methods may make them visible and easy targets.
"Wake up and smell the coffee." We need smaller more flexible development companies just as we would a Special Forces team to take out terrorists on the ground or in cyberspace. Medclinician - JB - CWN https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GhJHsHF91o |

It's time for a change - once upon a time, with pride, courage, and technology -
a force to be reckoned with - whoever is next in the White House -
whoever is trying to be - don't forget what needs to be done - to regain
what has been lost.
