Well, in case of TSHTF I had an idea about Ham Radio locations. I am not smart enough to put up a Ham Radio so I went to this site: http://hams.mapmash.com/hammap.php and they list by zip code all of the people who have a Hams in my area.

If things got bad enough I would ask these people close to me what news they were getting and/or try to get a message to my family if possible.

I have made a copy of all the Hams around my home with the map which is attached with the address.

I will add all of these to my prep notebooks. Just an idea!

Great idea, FluMom.
I've been thinking about upgrading the old CB radio in my truck. It died a while ago, but I was in Walmart yesterday and they start at less than $30.

That's pretty neat. Most of the people that have them in my hometown live in the rural areas by my family so that's good to know.
Be prepared! It may be time....^_^v

Great idea FluMom. My dad is a ham radio operator and so I could contact him, which is great as he lives so far away. I'll look into it straight away.
Those who got it wrong, for whatever reason, may feel defensive and retrench into a position that doesn’t accord with the facts.
