The Mail is a bit sensationalist, but I have never known them lie. The Chinese government.............................................................. |

That's just Wuhan, not counting Hubei Provence....or those with no family = no urn. Or the people who were in Wuhan from other locations....what about the ashes that were sent to other provinces....Wuhan is an international city. I bet its really 80k + Crematorium capacity is/ was 86400 over 50 days....not counting the portable animal ones they brought in right? |

The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself......FDR

The higher figures seem to fit other things news reports we have heard... The official death rate for the Province of Hubei is about 55 deaths / million population. My cases vs population data is a few days behind the current, but Italy was then at 180 deaths / million and Spain at 140 deaths per million. The tiny state of San Marino was at around 800 deaths / million. ....so a minimum of a ten fold increase in the official statistics for the epicentre around Wuhan would not put the 'more realistic' rates out of line with what we are seeing in the badly hit areas of Europe [actually when the dust has settled even a Hubei death toll of over 30 000 would seem on the low side]. |
