Good news from the UK. It appears case numbers are falling rapidly, down 20% on last week and hospitalizations down 31%. Maybe it'll all be over for them by Easter. |

Interesting. I saw an article that said that cases in the US are predicted to peak Jan 21st. Seems this milder wave came faster and will peak faster than any of the other previous waves. |

England's infection rate is down slightly in the last few days, but the infection rate remains 3 times the highest rate it was previously. But here's hoping the projections are wrong and Omicron peaks wanes faster than expected. That being said, I'm not sure I would use an urban center to represent the entire country. Vaccinations mean fewer serious cases and hospitalizations. Urban centers are more highly vaccinated than outlying areas. Well.. at least here in the U.S. |

London was so far ahead of the curve at the outset of Omicron. It was there and spreading fast long before it went elsewhere, so I read it that they are assuming that it will show the way for the rest of the country. It would be great if it is waning so quickly. |
