Something seems to have happened in Ukraine.  There is a VERY large and VERY unusual, sudden, RADIATION SPIKE in eastern Ukraine;  **NOT** near any nuclear power plants.

The spike is being registered on Ukraine Radiation Monitor #34304 in the town of Kolomak, Ukraine.

MOSCOW, July 15. /TASS/. Moscow resolutely condemns Kiev’s plans to use terrorist methods against Russian nuclear power plants that may cause a large-scale nuclear disaster in Europe, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Saturday.

The Russian diplomat issued this statement in the wake of a Ukrainian drone attack on the town of Kurchatov where the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) is located.

"We resolutely condemn Ukraine’s evil plans to actively use terrorist methods against Russian nuclear power plants, which may lead to a large-scale nuclear disaster in Europe. We call on the international community and the leadership of the IAEA [International Atomic Energy Agency] and the UN to pay close attention to Kiev’s irresponsible behavior and strongly condemn it," Zakharova said.

The Kiev regime has embarked upon the path of terrorism and the probable target of Ukraine’s drone provocation on July 14 was the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant, the diplomat said.

An explosion at a uranium enrichment plant in Russia's Urals region on Friday prompted Russia's state nuclear corporation to publish a statement to ease fears.

At around 9 a.m. local time, a cylinder with depleted uranium hexafluoride was "depressurized" (i.e. exploded) in a workshop at the Ural Electrochemical Combine in Novouralsk, the statement from Rosatom, which owns the plant, said.

Uranium Hexaflouride is a chemical used in the enrichment process for Uranium.

RIA Novasto reports that one person died in the explosion as a result of mechanical impact, but radiation levels at the facility are normal.

Rosatom said the incident was "promptly localized" and added there was no risk to people living near the plant.

Russian news outlet "E1" however, reports that 100 workers from the plant have been taken to a nearby hospital.

It is worth noting that this very plant is the single largest Uranium enrichment plant in the entire world.
