http://www.moonofalabama.org/2018/09/musings-on-climate-change.html#

The Trump administration admits that climate change will increase the global temperature more than anticipated:

Last month, deep in a 500-page environmental impact statement, the Trump administration made a startling assumption: On its current course, the planet will warm a disastrous 7 degrees [Fahrenheit] by the end of this century.
A rise of 7 degrees Fahrenheit, or about 4 degrees Celsius, compared with preindustrial levels would be catastrophic, according to scientists.

That increase though, says the Trump administration, is no reason to stop emitting gases that, for a large part, cause such warming:

But the administration did not offer this dire forecast, premised on the idea that the world will fail to cut its greenhouse gas emissions, as part of an argument to combat climate change. Just the opposite: The analysis assumes the planet’s fate is already sealed.

True! But the "child's" siblings are getting set to follow. Cover the well or lose the whole "family" - ALL OF US!
Absence of proof is not proof of absence.

DJ-Human rights are not only for "us" and "now"but also for next generations in their lifetime....

I could not believe the US giving up on trying to slow down climate change-but it looks like they did.

All over the world politics is simply failing to deal with the crisis. http://arctic-news.blogspot.com/2018/09/looking-the-climate-abyss-in-the-eye.html

DJ-"Extreme weather" will be normal within a few years, this means our "civilization"(or lack of it) will collapse.

DJ-Even the IPCC does not believe the Paris-agreement is doing its job. If we have to stay below 2C temperature increase by 2100 (above that life on Earth is in danger) much more drastic action is needed.

DJ-With the total lack of international cooperation, most countries going after short term economic growth in stead of dealing with the climate crisis things only will get much worse very fast.

http://arctic-news.blogspot.com/2018/10/what-does-runaway-warming-look-like.html

DJ-"Michael" may be a symptom of a "disease" called (rapid) climate change.
The shocking fact is that a sharp temperature increase may happen very fast (weeks, months ?) From Arctic-news.blogspot;

What Does Runaway Warming Look Like?

The forcing caused by the rapid rise in the levels of greenhouse gases is far out of line with current temperatures. A 10°C higher temperature is more in line with these levels, as illustrated by the image below.

(DJ-It did not copy a graph showing that present levels of CO2 and CH4 (methane) are related with a temperature of 10C+ based on ice-cores)

Carbon dioxide levels have been above 400 ppm for years. Methane levels above 1900 ppb were recorded in September 2018. Such high levels are more in line with a 10°C higher temperature, as illustrated by the above graph based on 420,000 years of ice core data from Vostok, Antarctica, research station.

How fast could such a 10°C temperature rise eventuate? The image below gives an idea.

(DJ-the story is 10C+ by 2026, but basicly-others claim temperatures can go up so much faster with a massive methane release-wich may already be on its way !)

Such runaway warming would first of all and most prominently become manifest in the Arctic. In many ways, such a rise is already underway, as the remainder of this post will show.

High Arctic Temperatures

(DJ-The Arctic should be re-freezing-it is not-seems to be warming up !!!)

Why are Arctic temperatures currently so high for the time of year?

(DJ-Most 93% of global warming and CO2 went into the oceans-it is now released at the poles. The jet-stream is disrupted due to less temperature difference between the equator and the poles so that jetstream is transporting more often warmth to the poles (and polair cold away from the poles. Also salt water/ice melts at -2C-so more open ocean absorbing heat instead of ice reflecting it.)

DJ-One of the major problems is that the IPCC is lying;
http://arctic-news.blogspot.com/2018/10/ipcc-keeps-feeding-the-addiction.html

Of course media claiming that extreme weather causing billions worth of damage https://www.wunderground.com/news/storms/hurricane/news/2018-10-10-hurricane-michael-billion-dollar-weather-disasters-2018 are "incidents" are part of the problem as well. Failing to connect the dots, draw conclusions is misleading the public.

Most of the media are owned by those who also have interests in fossil fuels.

The only positive trend is that more and more people realize that doing nothing will cost much more then-finaly-try to deal with rapid escalating climate change. https://www.voanews.com/a/wfp-climate-change-to-accelerate-world-hunger/4612092.html

http://arctic-news.blogspot.com/2018/11/doomsday-by-2021.html
conclusion:

The events as described above could result in a combined additional warming due to changes in aerosols of up to 2.5°C (4.5°F) in a matter of years.

The prospect of such a sequence of events makes a Doomsday-by-2021 warning appropriate.

DJ-https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-11-09/will-taiwan-question-give-rise-world-war-iii-scenario, https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-11-09/superbugs-pose-very-real-threat-humanity

A "mega-mix" of events can destroy our "civilization"-and to be realistic; it could happen any minute and go very fast.

From nuclear war to economic collapse-disasters often combine. The present "political" chaos in the US is dangerous but not unique. The EU is facing a powerstruggle between Merkel and Macron with a Brexit, Italy/Euro-crisis and "East European" challanges.

The "foundation" of currencies is under threat. The US$ link with energy is a thing of the past-this will also effect the €/Euro and other currencies-and with that the global economy.

The "captains of states" are no longer in control of their "ships". (The stock-exchanges may go up-expressed in some currencies that keep fluctuating with one another but those currencies-mix may fall. (Example share goes from 100 US$ to 105 US$ in a month-but the €/US$ goes from 1,25 to 1,15 so expressed in Euro's the share is losing value-not gaining. Putting the US$, € pound etc in the same basket and that basket compared to gold, oil etc the loss could be even greater.) Western economies may be "bubble based" and the bubble may collapse...
