I discovered a great tool, for cutting small pieces of wood a hacksaw...I picked up about 5 of them in the dollar store and they are part of our BOB bags..well yesterday I built a shelf out of an old dresser and wanted to put a strip of wood across the front to stop stuff from falling out and the hacksaw was perfect(great idea for the single ladies out there)...I tried using my big big saw that use for firewood and t was to big for these small strips...and ps the dresser idea was fantastic it holds about 200 cans of soup and on top of those tuna cans..I am washing up a cover to put over it and then will be able to store regular items on top...

oh and I left the bottom drawer the way it was and all of my toothpaste and cotton balls rubbed in vasoline and soap are in there..I used some drywall to seperate..

I was Rona women yesterday

RBArnes55:

Oh I want one of those trestle machines!! My younger sister found one in her house when she bought it and will not give it up. And she can't even sew. LOL.

Anyway I am stocking lots of yarn and wooden dowels in various sizes for new needles should I break them. I prefer my own needles to those that are store bought.

About the glue... The DH swears by Gorilla glue for heavy duty repairs.

I have a craft size mitre box and saw I bought at Michaels for seven bucks. Very compact and very sharp! I cut all the casements(wood trim around the ceiling? right term?) for my kitchen myself with it.

I am planting a container garden this month also . I got a huge wooden crate that used to hold sheetmetal for the garden. (it fell off the Back of a truck heh-heh)

A great book for small area/large yield gardening is "Squarefoot Gardening" By Mel Bartholomew. Has all the info you need to garden anywhere, even tabletops. Most of the supplies used to construct the gardens are salvaged materials.

Check out Gorilla Glue.  Works great for fixing hair & stuff that keeps falling off your gorilla.  Not recommended for use on Sasquatch.

(Badump-ting!)  Thank you folks... I'm here thru thursday!....

Seriously, Gorilla Glue is some TOUGH STUFF! Works on virtually anything.

Flick, keep an eye out for local antique auctions. You can usually get a functioning trestle for about $10-$15. They show up all the time.

Not to be gross, but actually, in a "pinch", super-glue can be used to mend wounds temporarily also.  I believe it has been used in the field militarily for just such a purpose in battle.
