Very Basic Questions:
No people but family members around Isolated, no strangers. Is it OK to go outside? If so, How much protection? Isn't bird poop the only thing to worry about? If the virus is airborne, does that mean any dust around could contain dried poop that could be inhaled? Seems like such basic questions...why am I so confused? Thanks. Rocky |

I would like to know if we bought a bunch of plastic jugs, could we just start filling them with water, would that be just as good as the store bought water? Also my next door neighbor is a wildlife ranger, he's had several classes about bf. He's not that worried. Please let me know about the water. Thanks

maggie the water containers to store drinking water have to be of water grade quality...I re-use 2 litre pop bottles and you have add couple drops of regular household bleach(NOT colourfast type could kill you)...If need more information there are great post on water storage in the preps area..

Thanks muskrat! I just want to keep it simple. We're in the norther part of the united states, and the economy is awful. I just don't have alot of money to put in to prepping. However I due want to be ready if anything were to happen. I 'm an independent women with children, and I due want to make sure that they are well taken care of. As I said before about my neighbor he's not that concerened. He one of these guys that could survive anything. He could live off the land! Thank god he's my neighbor. I couldn't be luckier. Most people I know only know how to use the yellow pages to get anything done. Thanks

Please just be careful when using that thought of living off the land...the question is what will be safe to comsume for eating..will other animals such as deer, rabbits, be effected by this...and water in the lakes streams...my first suggestion is to read around the forum and get as much information that you can...save recylce..I kknow that feeling of strapped cash...single mom of 3 children here(and I have a 21 year old 500 miles away) and right now I cannot work, so I am doing what I can...but I have been prepping for many years... If you need help there alot of resourcefull people on board here..great people that will be willing to share with you knowledge, skills and even a shoulder if you need it.. all preps are step by step for anyone..and alot of deep breaths...frustartion and a sense of ease...and I cannot forget that overwhelming feeling.. That is what forums like this are set up for to help one another... Since I have been in here I have seen some pretty amazing things..freindship that have grown out of a post, stress being releived through a kind word or gesture...we enjoy sharing a good laugh..and there is always the virtual bar where I tend to get a little like this... Maybe would should start a prepper course 101 Takes a deep breath herself...p.s Welcome aboard and please feel free to pm... |
