There is great concern that the threat of rain and flooding from Hurricane Hermine in the Florida Gulf Coast could present more problems for officials racing to control the threat of more Zika mosquitoes being found in Florida. In a press conference the Governor of Florida Rick Scott called on residents to continue to take precautions in the midst of the current threat of Hermine. On Thursday officials announced the discovering of the first trapped mosquitos carrying the Zika Virus in the southern part of Miami.
