http://themindunleashed.org/2014/10/mit-researchers-new-warning-todays-rate-half-u-s-children-will-autistic-2025.html strong link with round-up (glyphosate:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glyphosate
Research scientist Stephanie Seneff of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a widely published author on topics ranging from Azlheimer’s Disease to autism and cardiovascular disease, raised plenty of eyebrows recently with a bold proclamation on autism at a special panel in Massachusetts about genetically modified organisms and other topics. “At today’s rate, by 2025, one in two children will be autistic,” Seneff said last Thursday in Groton, MA at an event sponsored by the holistic-focused Groton Wellness organization. Seneff presented slides showing a remarkably consistent correlation between the rising use of Roundup (with its active ingredient glyphosate) on crops and the rising rates of autism; while it doesn’t show a direct correlation it does give researchers plenty to think about, especially considering Seneff’s research into the side effects of autism that mimic glyphosate toxicity and deficiencies. |

Fits with what I have always thought it is what women eat while pregnant. Fish, mercury, or something like roundup, but it has to do with all the junk in our food. We did not have many autistic chidren 65 years ago and before 65 years. It must be the food!

What I understand from Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is that there is proberbly some genetic bases. Another point is that at present all kind of "light"ASD is included in the statistics.
ASD behavior can be linked with parts of the brain that develop differently. But what should be considered the norm ? Is ASD a form of evolution ? If it becomes widespread, becomes it the norm ? In what I did read of glyphosate that material is linked with all kind of problems, blocking zinc etc in doing their function in the body. Just like mobile-phones can be linked to brain-tumors, glyphosate is "global", to far widespread and to much integrated in a way of life. There have been civilizations that disappeared for unclear reasons. History, like present, is always complex.

I think things like Aspergers especially has been around a lot longer than people realize... there have been many a person described as eccentric or eclectic. I agree though there does have to be an answer to the explosion of cases.

You're absolutely right Flumom, it is all down to maternal nutrition. I've been learning a lot about facial formation in the womb in the last couple of years and how the mid section of the face in both a child and adult eloquently tells us how well the mother ate whilst pregnant. I'm relieved to look at my own children's faces and see that they are beautifully formed. I went out of my way to eat well during my pregnancies, I took my natural supplements and avoided all caffeine, alcohol and medications. I was effectively on a diet for 9 months each time which took huge willpower. But it went further than that, I also only used organic skin products and avoided all chemicals but always wearing rubber gloves for washing up and cleaning. But the big difference was that I wasn't short of money and could indulge in my whims. Most people today are not able to do that. Not many young women can afford the change in diet and lifestyle. Even now we are careful what we eat. Thankfully we produce a lot of it ourselves, but we also take precautions against other environmental factors, in particular wi fi technology. We have hardwired computers and although we do have wi fi tablets, our wi fi is switched on so we can use them and then switched off again. Thankfully we don't pick up anyone else's wi fi network. I'm convinced that Wi Fi will prove to be detrimental to young people in the long run. I read that if interferes with the development of the reproductive system in adolescents.

I can tell you we have more kids in our schools with either aspersers, ADD, ADHD, and many of our kids can't get or stay quiet! They talk all the time and cannot quit talking! I have been in schools for 25 years and it has never been this bad. It has gotten worse over the past 5 years. I am not the only one who says this it is happening all over the country. Talk to any teacher.

http://www.globalresearch.ca/monsanto-sued-for-deliberate-falsification-to-conceal-that-glyphosate-roundup-is-harmful-to-humans-and-animals/5450548
The class action lawsuit (Case No: BC 578 942) was filed in Los Angeles County, California against biotechnology giant Monsanto. It alleges that Monsanto is guilty of false advertising by claiming that glyphosate, the active ingredient in their best-selling herbicide, Roundup, “targets an enzyme only found in plants and not in humans or animals.” You can see this statement marked clearly on some of Monsanto’s products sold in the state. The lawsuit attests that the enzyme in question, EPSP synthase, is found in the microbiota that reside in our intestinal tracts, and therefore the enzyme is “found in humans and animals.” Why is Monsanto being sued? Because their product kills off our healthy gut-flora. Specifically:
The International Agency for Research on Cancer, part of the World Health Organization (WHO), last month declared that glyphosate is a Group 2A carcinogen. The American Cancer Society quickly followed suit, also listing glyphosate as a Group 2A carcinogen. Countries around the world are demanding that Roundup be banned, at least until ‘further research’ on its harmful affects can be completed. But even an Environmental Protection Agency memo classified glyphosate as a possible carcinogen in 1985. Later in 1991, when the agency randomly changed the classification to ‘not carcinogenic,’ three scientists involved in the study refused to sign, and one wrote “do not concur.” The document which will be presented in court contains data that clearly Along with this lawsuit is another filed against the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture just weeks ago, by Beijing resident Yang Xiao-lu. It requests disclosure of a toxicology report which was submitted to Chinese officials for the herbicide’s registration in China. The case has been accepted and the collegiate panel of the court has informed the plaintiff that, considering that Monsanto is a stakeholder to the case, they have added Monsanto as an involved party. Chinese citizens asked for this toxicology report once before, but the Ministry of Agriculture denied them. The Ministry said that they had to protect “trade secrets” of Monsanto and other biotech bullies. Likely the only thing that needed to be protected was Monsanto’s reputation when the recipe for their toxic products are already known the world over. Attorney T. Matthew Phillips says:

I blame dietary fads like sushi. Pregnant women are encouraged to eat seafood because it is "healthy," but the stuff is filthy with methyl mercury. This includes canned tuna, sushi tuna, tilefish, etc.
Sushi is so common in Chicago that you can buy the stuff at gas stations. We dig our graves with our teeth.
