Albert,I guess that what you mean by the latest is what is going on with my wife.
 We are dealing with two different offices.The GYN/Oncologists and the Radiation Oncologist. Each office gives us conflicting appointments.One office will tell us to forget about the last appt. given to us by the other office and then the other office does the same thing.They assured us that the other office will be notified. Both me and my wife are completely confused.
I know that in every major medical center in this country that Oncologists and Radiation Oncologists work together all of the time.The GYN/Oncologists referred us to the Radiation Oncologist and he told me that his office and the Radiation Ongists talked and coordinated with each other every day.I believed him because I know that happens in every medical center across the nation.
Both offices assured me that the office staff of each office,talked on a daily basis. After going through this confusion for a week and a half,I am beginning to thing that these two specialists do not even know each other and that their staffs never talk.I will just have to wait and see what happens Monday. The GYN/Oncologist told me to forget about the appointment that the Radiation Oncologist had given us to start Radiation therapy this coming Tues. He said that his office and the other office would talk and they would call me this coming Monday.
What this means to me is that I will start making phone calls this Monday morning to both offices to try and get a little bit of coordination.
The Radiation Oncologist was very insulting and arrogant to us the last time that we talked to him and my wife does not know it. But he told us that a week or two weeks of missed therapy would make absolutely no difference in Nancy's out come. Nancy did realize that what he had just said was that your wife is going to die anyway.It really pis*** me off,but I could not say anything,because Nancy would have really been hurt.Johnray1

So sorry it all seems to be one thing after another for you right now.  I would have been upset also with how insensitive he was, no matter what it was he meant.  Prayers daily John... Nancy is blessed to have you!

You are my brother. I have been where you are at right now. I can tell you that if in your mind that if the outcome is the loss of your wife, please take the time to talk with her about it. She is not ignorant to the fact that she may die. My first wife and I had many conversations about her passing, which she did after 42 years of marriage on her 62 birthday, with me at her side. It is best for both of you to talk between yourselves about this issue as you will not have a chance after she passes. We got through this difficult time with or faith in meeting each other at the resurrection when Jesus comes back to claim his own.

I feel for you at this time and you are in our prayers.

The amazing love the two of you share is obvious in the lines of these posts and a real inspiration for us  to fight for those we love.  Sometimes the ignorance of the learned profession in the matters of day to day living defies explanation; wonder how that doc behaves around his own family. 

Albert,I did a lot of yelling this morning,but Nancy's treatments start at 0845 in the morning.One of the Dr.s says that he will never talk to me again,but that is O.K.



My brother-in-law dieing. His Dr.s are sure that Agent Orange is what did him in and I probably agree. He had so many health problems and different cancers that slammed him one after another, when he first got sick. He also did 3 and 1/2 tours in Vietnam.Johnray1

Germ Nerdier,thank you.I have always heard and believed that when problems come,they come many at a time.I guess that it is my turn..But  with my wife's Radiation and Chemo starting in the morning, I will handle all of this the same that I have handled everything, and that is one day at a time.
You may have heard the strory about the person walking on the beach with GOD. There was a part of the walk that left only one set of footsteps in the sand instead of two sets and the person asked why GOD  had left him. GOD told him that when he only saw one set of foot prints,that was when GOD had not left him.God told him,that is when I was carrying you.Johnray1

So many people wish you well. God willing, they do not know the pain.
I'm going to stop there. You know what I'm talking about.

The only guidance I can give you is from the school of hard knocks, and that of not being given the chance to say goodbye.
The days ahead will be rough. As rough as they will be, look for the momentary treasures to spend with her. Never miss a single opportunity to tell her how much you love her.

Satan will do anything to drive us away from our creator. Please consider the story of Job in the Bible. God allowed Satan to work his destruction in that mans life to no avail, as he stayed true to his Lord. My prayer is that you will stay strong and true through this ordeal that you are going through. The story of Lazarus in the Bible tells us that when we go to sleep (die) that the next thing we will see will be Jesus at the resurrections. No more pain or suffering will exist and we will be reunited with our loved ones. That is a promise that we can claim.

How can you not love foot prints in the sand lol.   You might only have one set of foot prints showing in the sand right now John.  Hang in there. 

I'm not a Christian.  I love footprints.  (Whatever you percieve God to be, it is still true.)   Nuff Said!

When my grandmother was 75, she came down with something and was told she only had one or two years left. A few days ago she celebrated her 95th birthday. It does not mean everyone will beat the odds. It means everyone has hope. God Bless you and Nancy always, John.

Original Happy Camper and all, Nancy had her first full day of Radiation and Chemotherapy. Radiation treatment at one hospital and  then Chemotherapy at another hospital.

It was a long day,but Nancy did great.

Also,none of you need to worry about me losing my faith in GOD. MY faith in GOD is deep in my heart and I can not lose it and I will not lose it.Johnray1
