Military preps team for Ebola response in US

(CNN) -- [Breaking news update, 1:10 p.m. ET]

The U.S. military is forming a 30-person "quick strike team" equipped to provide direct treatment to Ebola patients inside the United States, a Defense Department official told CNN's Barbara Starr on Sunday. The team -- made up of doctors, nurses and specialized trainers -- will be under orders to deploy within 72 hours at any time over the next month, the official said.

The go time is 72 hours in 72 hours you know how many people can be infected. This is NOT good enough.

I can tell you what is needed! They need to have a go team in the air in 1 hour to get to the hospital 1 doc, a couple of nurses and 6 - 10 people to instruct on how to gown up-down for Ebola. The gown up people need to be at the hospital 24/7 and training as they are doing the gown up-down for all involved.

I have managed many types of business and I can tell you unless people have the correct procedures this is going to spread like wildfire.

I like the idea of having a "quick strike team" equipped to provide treatment to Ebola patients but who took this job away from the CDC and gave it to the military? Does using the U.S. military inside the United States to address domestic problems raise a red flag for anyone else?
Those who publicly blame an object for the user’s abuse are promoting irresponsible behavior.

I personally don't believe it, but it has been brought up.

I agree... when did it go from a CDC team to a military operation.  I liked the idea of the "Quick Strike Team" also... read somewhere that Emory Dr's & nurses were helping to train.  So I thought yeah this will be good if another hospital has a case & they can get there fast enough it might actually be contained this time.  But I don't see what the military has to do with it.

After I reread and rethink my opinion on this is : they just want to ge t the public used with the Army uniforms view on the Ebola site. Please do notice they are "nurses , doctors " but they are "Army" so they will (of course) carry weapons. If the things are going bad, the guys with guns are already there to take action, or to make sure they quarantine all the persons. Very slowly the army taking over the civilians over this Ebola job, so the just want to make the public used with.
I do apologize for my poor english. Prepare for the Worst and Hope for the Best!
