DJ, My -far from perfect- perspective on what I see as a NATO-BRICS+ conflict. War is just one aspect, de-dollar-ization another, economic, one...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXhg9DfTIVg or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXhg9DfTIVg Military Summary/MS;

Summer Operations | Russian Breakthrough. Belarus Is Preparing For War. Military Summary 2023.7.23

In short; In Petrograd Lukashenko-Belarus had talks with Putin. https://tass.com/politics/1650829 or https://tass.com/politics/1650829 ;

MOSCOW, July 24. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday will continue communication with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko, who is currently on a working visit to Russia.

The Belarusian leader arrived in Russia on Saturday evening, and the two presidents’ press services initially announced that Putin and Lukashenko would hold one-day talks on Sunday. However, the Russian president told his Belarusian counterpart at yesterday’s meeting that they would continue negotiations on Monday.

Opening the first day of bilateral talks in St. Petersburg, Putin said that relations between Moscow and Minsk continued to progress even faster than it was expected.

Among other things, Putin and Lukashenko discussed the international agenda and security issues. The Russian president told his Belarusian counterpart that foreign mercenaries fighting for Ukraine had been suffering heavy losses "because of their stupidity." Putin emphasized that Ukraine’s counteroffensive had failed, while irrecoverable losses of Ukrainian forces had exceeded 26,000 troops since it was launched.

DJ, My view; US may be pushing for both escalation https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/breaking-news-drone-attack-against-moscow or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/breaking-news-drone-attack-against-moscow (sending drones to Moscow has NO military goal...) and widening of the war https://southfront.org/17-government-fighters-killed-or-wounded-in-blast-near-gaz-field-in-central-syria/ or https://southfront.org/17-government-fighters-killed-or-wounded-in-blast-near-gaz-field-in-central-syria/

The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and other pro-opposition news sources speculated that the blast was a result of a drone strike, hinting that the United States-led coalition may be responsible.

However, pro-government sources said that the blast was caused by an explosive device. Several similar attacks took place in central Syria in the past, with ISIS usually claiming responsibility. The terrorist group’s cells maintain a strong presence at the Hama-Homs-Raqqa triangle.

DJ, Both IS and the SDF/PKK Kurds may have made a deal with the US/NATO/Ukraine...to fight Russia and Iran in Syria and Iraq.

https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2023/07/22/707511/US-Withdrawal-Syria-Key-Damascus-Ankara-detente or https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2023/07/22/707511/US-Withdrawal-Syria-Key-Damascus-Ankara-detente ; The withdrawal of American forces from Syria is the key to full and formal rapprochement between Damascus and Ankara, says a regional affairs analyst, noting that it will ease Turkish concerns over Kurdish influence in Syria and eliminate the excuse for Turkish military presence in the Arab country.

DJ, The US still has major bases in Türkiye, Qatar (etc. Djibouti US base is not far from a Chinese/PLA base)..with Saudi Arabia, UAE moving towards BRICS, gold (and oil ?) backed currency "the position of the US in the Middle East North Africa MENA region may be discussed at the BRICS meeting next month in South Africa"...

In fact the US already is "limited" in what it can do with its military in the MENA region...Türkiye does NOT welcome US supplying its Kurds against Türkiye...Qatar wants "good relations" with Iran...the US wants war..So "de-militarization" in MENA could come in the form of Türkiye, Qatar etc. "friendly asking the US to go".....

-In the propaganda war "western media/propaganda" blames Russia for damage to the Odesa cathedral...most likely damaged by Ukraine failing-limited- air defense...It is Ukraine that did attack the Russian orthodox church...transforming it into a (US led) "Ukraine alternative"...

Russia did not prolong the "Ukraine grain(weapon) deal"...it is providing Africa with FREE delivery of both grain and fertilizer...https://tass.com/politics/1650783 or https://tass.com/politics/1650783 ;

MOSCOW, July 24. /TASS/. At their summit later this week, Russia and African countries should adopt a comprehensive declaration, joint statements and approve a partnership action plan until 2026, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated in his article, "Russia and Africa: Joining Efforts for Peace, Progress and a Successful Future," published on the Kremlin website on Monday.

The second Russia-Africa Summit and Economic Forum is slated for July 27-28 in St. Petersburg. The first such event was held in Sochi on October 22-24, 2019 under the slogan "For peace, security and development."

"We attach great importance to the upcoming second Russia-Africa Summit. We expect that the Summit would adopt a comprehensive Declaration, a number of joint statements and approve the Russia - Africa Partnership Forum Action Plan to 2026. We are working to prepare an impressive package of intergovernmental and inter-agency agreements and memoranda with individual states as well as regional associations of the continent," Putin wrote.

DJ see also https://www.moonofalabama.org/2023/07/much-ado-about-nothing.html or https://www.moonofalabama.org/2023/07/much-ado-about-nothing.html

-Ukraine grain production is limited

-Most of the agriculture export went to the EU

-EU/west ignored the Russian part of the grain deal (access to SWIFT for Russian agriculture trade, stop of sanctions for Russian agriculture...)

The NATO-west does not care about human rights...the EU-Tunesia "refugee deal" ends up in dropping African refugees in the desert...both the US. UK and EU are actively killing refugees in deserts and seas...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPkU3RoZ12I or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPkU3RoZ12I Danny Haiphong;

Xi Jinping to PLA: Prepare for WAR with US in Taiwan as 'DANGEROUS STORMS' Coming

New Atlas/Brian Berletic ;

Another example of US interference: The US gov blatantly interfered in Thailand's elections, a violation of international law - and now pressures Thai institutions to allow their proxies to seize power or "jeopardize stability/prosperity."

DJ...so if the US wants global war...it can get global war....

MENA may be a weak spot for US/NATO...both Syria/Iraq and the Indian Ocean may "no longer welcome US agression"....

Maybe Poland (with US/UK help ?) may do something stupid in western Ukraine...(If NATO keeps doing stupid it could go nuclear...). China no longer may allow US navy in its waters...NOT in the South China Sea, not near Taiwan-part of China...

Another US coup in South Asia, Latin America may see BRICS intervention...no more US fascist bolsenaro !

-What may stop further escalation ?

Both bussiness people, some western politicians, public support may demand perspectives...the biden-confrontationism did almost destroy the west ! If the west goes on this way it will break up...it may face civil wars, economic/social collapse...

Lots of major crises, climate, health, economy, are only getting worse...There is a need for global cooperation to solve those problems ! BRICS+ is welcoming international, multi polar based, trade...It will NOT allow US domination any longer...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

Dj, my -far from perfect-"view" on the global situation;

-Some western crazy fanatic "politicians" push for more escalation...a lot of the military may by now be more realistic. Both in Ukraine, Syria, Iraq, with China "there only limited possibilities"...

-Qu'ran burning https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2023/07/24/707678/Iran-Serbia-Amir-Abdollahian-National-Assembly-Vladimir-Orli%C4%87-Qur-an-desecration-Europe-Sweden-Denmark-ties- or https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2023/07/24/707678/Iran-Serbia-Amir-Abdollahian-National-Assembly-Vladimir-Orli%C4%87-Qur-an-desecration-Europe-Sweden-Denmark-ties- ;

Iran's foreign minister has once again denounced the desecration of the Holy Qur'an in some European countries under the pretext of freedom of expression, which led to huge protest rallies across the Muslim world.

Speaking in a meeting with President of Serbia's National Assembly Vladimir Orlić in Tehran on Monday, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said the desecration of the Qur'an in Sweden and Denmark has hurt the sentiments of two billion Muslims across the world, adding, “We condemn any insult to divine books.”

DJ, countries like Russia, China may have forbiden burning of 'holy books"...

My view; I am against "religion"...see it as a basis for totalitarianism...but that is only my view...an opinion...I do NOT have ANY right !!!! to burn "holy books", damage churches, mosqs synagoges, temples !!!!  If religious "groups' move into crme ( the catholic church has a major sex problem...) there are legal ways...

The "NATO west" does see burning of "holy books" as "freedom of expression"...freedom to insult is NOT a "freedom" it is an attack on basic rights of others...Western blindness for concerns of others ( on religion, security) is damaging the west...

-Local "problems" ; Serbs in Bosnia, Kosovo ( a NATO made country...even some NATO members still see it as part of Serbia...) can escalate. The Lebanon-Israel or Gaza-Israel border is also highly explosive ...could become  a trigger for a much wider -unplanned- conflict/war...(the Kurds may be another example...DJ-I would welcome a "Kurdistan" but so far the Kurds only have been used...).

-North Korea, some other countries could have their own agenda...

-BRICS+  may follow the Chinese idea of "making trade-not war"...(but there are red lines for China...the US extremists push those red lines...)

DJ, In Syria, and again in Ukraine Putin did choose what conflicts to fight and where...In Syria so far Russia tried to stay out/limit the Iran-Israel conflict...so far Israel was allowed to attack Iran targets in Syria as long as Israel did not attack certain targets (Damascus international airport, Russian -shared- targets).

In the Ukraine war Russia only did "limited action" against US/UK/NATO drones over the Black Sea...(directing NATO weapons to destroy Russian targets).

----------

There may have been made "an understanding" between (a.o. ???) Poland and Ukraine that "if Ukraine was unsuccesfull in its offensives" Poland would come for help...

Russia listening in on "Ukraine radio communication" did hear most communication was in Polish...Very likely tens-of-thousends "Polish volunteers" did fight in Ukraine...

A way for the Polish (catholic extremist nationalists) government to "pull Ukraine into NATO" could be a "Polish-Ukraine union state" ...a bit of a copy of what Russia did with Crimea and New Russia...

The major questions are;

-Would such a Polish-Ukraine Union consists of "all" of Ukraine or only western parts (were there is no fighting yet)...

-Are other countries (UK, Lithuania ???) involved in this "plan"...is it -de facto- even a NATO plan ? (To find "legal" excuses to make it a NATO war ?)

-Did Poland find agreement with other "border states" that also may "get a part of Ukraine"...(is there a NATO "idea" to move NATO east without getting into a major NATO war with Russia ?)

-Even further...could NATO countries getting parts of Ukraine be part of a deal with Russia to get out of this conflict...???

-------------

In Syria, Iraq the US/NATO (should) know it is in an impossible position...Increasing military presence may be part of "diplomacy"...

Türkiye may be the center of NATO-BRICS+ "diplomacy"....DJ-I have my doubts on a Turkish wish to join the EU...EU membership for Türkiye may have a "bridge function" when the EU would do trade with BRICS...NOT if the EU is in a war with BRICS....

In Israel netanyahu is facing many crises...Israel should avoid an open war with Iran...certainly since China managed to get Iran accepted by the Gulf States...(KSA, UAE etc.). So is the Israeli "fear" for a nuclear Iran a "real fear" or just a stick to "unite the west behind Israel" ? Netanyahu-like Erdogan-had to balance between many parties...both may decide "Asia" offers the best perspectives;

-for trade (with India, China)

-for security (Russia is "balancing Iran")

-The US/NATO did get themselve into an impossible position in Asia...

----------

China may show strength in excercises with Russia, Iran...maybe even other countries (India ??? India has its own agenda...may want to show it is NOT an US "toy"). The main goal is to stop countries in "the region" working with the US against China...

South Korea, Japan need the Asia economy...

De facto Australia, New Zealand also need the Asia market...

A major factor could be economic perspectives for the NATO west-fiat currency-debt based countries is bad...Their population is aging...Energy, basic material supply has been cut of due to their own insane sanctions...( The EU needed Russian energy harder than Russia needed the EU market...)

Money matters...and the "west" made very stupid choices...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

The "Vice-Admiral Kulakov," an Udalay-class Destroyer of the Russian Navy has arrived in Cuba for an official visit for the first time in a long time, and there is dangerous news for the United States . . .

Shortly before the Russian navy warship arrived, talks were held between the leaders of Cuba and Russia and their defense ministries. The result is statements to strengthen not only economic cooperation, but also military-technical cooperation.

According to American military experts, this could mean the return of Russia to Cuba with all the resulting consequences: the deployment of Russian troops and long-range missiles.

This will be a decisive Russian response to the threats posed by the expansion of NATO's presence in Northern Europe and Japan.

Earlier, Cuban leader Miguel Díaz-Canel strongly condemned the entry into NATO of new members bordering Russia. "In light of hostile actions by the (NATO) alliance, Cuba is ready to place Russian missiles on its territory, again."

COVERT INTEL INDICATES CARGO SHIPS IN RUSSIA, "WITH A PRE-FILED TRANSIT ROUTE TO CUBA, "SEEM TO BE" IN PROCESS OF BEING LOADED WITH COMPONENTS FROM RUSSIAN MISSILE MANUFACTURING FACTORIES"

Readers should note that back in 1962, the then-Soviet Union placed Medium Range and Intermediate Range nuclear missiles in Cuba with a five minute flight time to Washington, DC.  This resulted in the "Cuban Missile Crisis" wherein then U.S. President John F. Kennedy, imposed a naval blockade of Cuba and began massing U.S. troops in Florida for an invasion of Cuba to destroy those missiles.

HAVANA, July 22. /TASS/. Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel has touched upon Russian investments in his country at a meeting with Boris Titov, Presidential Commissioner for Entrepreneurs’ Rights and Chairman of the Russia-Cuba Business Council.

"I had a fruitful meeting with Boris Titov, chairman of the Russia-Cuba council. We exchanged views on the prospects of Russian investments in Cuba, which will help forge trade and economic ties between the two countries," the president wrote on his Twitter page on Saturday.

MOSCOW, July 26. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will begin a series of international meetings with guests of the upcoming Russia-Africa summit in St. Petersburg on Wednesday.

Later in the day, he is expected to meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and BRICS New Development Bank President Dilma Rousseff.

Bilateral meetings

Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov told reporters on Tuesday that Putin’s talks with the premier of Ethiopia, who is paying an official visit to Russia, will be held with the participation of delegations. After that, the president and the premier will have a joint breakfast.

DJ, next month in South Africa BRICS+ will meet...talks with Africa, America, Asia are now ongoing to see what countries want what goals...

DJ-my view- BRICS+ may be part of the process in deciding on how NATO-BRICS wars will continu...One option is BRICS no longer trying to "limit" the conflict...but "limit NATO"...

Western propaganda claimed "Ukraine now started the real offensive"....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFW9yx3Gdag or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFW9yx3Gdag Military Summary/MS following the Ukraine war.

-Yes, Ukraine may have started a repeat of its attacks this time with more soldiers/tanks...

-Outcome seems to be Ukraine simply losing more soldiers/tanks....

DJ, can drones replace aircraft on frontlines ? Maybe if the other party has even less air defense...US is giving Ukraine lots of satelite info, intel...maybe here the US maybe even could still be a bit better ? Russia however is fighting close to its borders ( or inside them if you accept "New Russia"...). Ukraine supply lines are overstretched...

Russia did destroy several airfields in western Ukraine-so Ukraine may see its "storm shadow" long distance missile use limited...Also lots of (NATO) supplies (and command centers ???) were destroyed...

DJ; "left wing" parties in "the west" should be ashamed of themselves supporting NATO neo colonial and racist wars...These "left wing" parties may be out of contact with a lot of their voters...

DJ, Russia minister of defence visited North Korea...Russia did start another round of mobilization-goal is 500,000 extra soldiers...

My view; Russia is preparing for a major escalation...However this may be defined/discussed in the coming BRICS meeting in South Africa next month.

MOSCOW, July 27. /TASS/. Russia and African countries are calling for the formation of a just multipolar world order based on the principles of equality of countries, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a reception in honor of the participants of the Russia-Africa summit.

"Russia and African countries are now jointly calling for the formation of a just multipolar world order based on the principles of sovereign equality of countries, non-interference in their internal affairs, respect for the right of peoples to determine their own fate," he said.

DJ, If "poor" countries want to escape from poverty they have NOTHING to expect from the NATO-west ! (Only war, exploitation, chaos...)

Russia’s foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova on Wednesday issued a direct, provocative challenge to Washington and its dollar dominance, asserting that Moscow will work with African leaders to weaken the US dollar.

Zakharova, per remarks cited in RIA Novosti, denounced the United States' using it as a tool for global hegemony, and as "a means of realizing its aggression." The foreign ministry comments came just ahead of the high-level summit of African leaders set to be held in St. Petersburg at the end of this week.

DJ, the west did spread poverty in their former colonies...supporting local dictators following western orders...if need be with "help" from western "peace keepers"...

On July 25, Iranian naval forces took delivery of a batch of Abu Mahdi long-range anti-ship cruise missiles, to the semi-official Tasnim News Agency.

The cruise missile, which is named after former Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units deputy commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, was first unveiled on 20 August 2020 along with a ballistic missile named after former Iranian Quds Force commander Qasem Soleimani. The two senior commanders were killed together in a United States drone strike that took place near the international airport of the Iraqi capital, Bahgada, earlier that year.

New Abu Mahdi missiles were handed over to Iranian naval forces during a ceremony that was held at Parchin, a military site located southeast of the capital Tehran.

The design of the Abu Mahdi cruise missile is derived from the Soviet-era Kh-55, several of which were illegally sold to Iran by Ukraine in 2001. The turbojet-propelled winged missile has a range of up to 1,000 kilometers.

DJ, Russia-Iran-China may be preparing for a "battle on the Indian Ocean"...no doubt India, Pakistan, Myanmar, Indonesia are also involved...The Indian Ocean is the sea link between Russia-Iran to India/East Africa...China-via Pakistan and Myanmar- also using the Indian Ocean as a sea route to Europe and Africa...Egypt likely discussing BRICS+ membership...

In the US "justice" trying to stop trump as a candidate for next US presidential elections..."justice" also trying to keep the biden crime family out of court...

If this is supposed to be "politics" or "democracy" it is an insult to the basic idea of both...

DJ-In part I did write my view on where we are now in the NATO-BRICS conflict in Sui-Cene/general discussion...

"The NATO west" keeps "seeing signs";

-Russia is isolated

-Russia running out of weapons

-Russia hit hard by western sanctions

-Ukraine is winning

The NATO-west is out of touch with reality and projecting its own problems on Russia...

Yes, Russian minister of defence Shoigu visited North Korea, very likely to buy Korean 152 mm shells, Korean drones...Yes-Russia may have bought weapons from Myanmar...may be working with Iran...ordered 500,000 body armour in China...But this does NOT !!!! mean Russia is "running out of weapons"...may further show "the isolation" Russia is dealing with...

I did see a claim Russian energy exports dropped in first half of 2023 compared to first half year of 2022..."so sanctions are working"...well the NATO economies are in recession...so western demand for Russian (indirect) energy decreased...also "NATO did not want to buy Russian energy" so...yes-in that sense; the west running into an energy problem after increasing to the max reserves in 2022-"sanctions are working"...

BRICS may decide to "ignore the west" as best as they can in the coming meeting in South Africa...I expect Russia may also come up with a "plan" to find "military solutions" to "problems" created by NATO...

In Ukraine, Syria/Iraq, Africa, South China Sea, Latin America BRICS+ may "restore sovereignity"...governments working for public/national intersts...not US ones...

In that way we have to expect -if there is no sense in talking to NATO idiots- a global confrontation...

Russia-Iran-China are preparing for war...like many others...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

Lots of news on the NATO-BRICS war;

https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/news-nation/hush-hush-pentagon-orders-combat-pay-for-u-s-troops-ukraine or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/news-nation/hush-hush-pentagon-orders-combat-pay-for-u-s-troops-ukraine ;

1) Why are US Troops inside Ukraine at all, AND;

2) If the only US Troops in Ukraine are "Advisors" then why Combat Pay?

(HT Personal Opinion:   I'm going to go out on a limb here and speculate . . . . I think the reason for this memo is that US troops ARE in combat in Ukraine and we ARE at war with Russia even though it is undeclared.)

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/us-was-behind-both-crimean-bridge-attacks-seymour-hersh or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/us-was-behind-both-crimean-bridge-attacks-seymour-hersh ;

Legendary national security journalist Seymour Hersh has published a report this week alleging US intelligence helped the Ukrainians blow up the Kerch Bridge (or also, Crimean Bridge), which happened earlier this month and corresponded to President Putin refusing to renew the Black Sea Grain Initiative deal.

What's more is that Hersh's sources described that the US assisted in the initial, larger Kerch Bridge explosion which had initially temporarily disabled it in October 2022. "The Biden administration’s role in both attacks was vital," he wrote in a Thursday Substack investigative article.

"Of course it was our technology," an unnamed US official told Hersh, referring to the sea drone which detonated under the vital bridge on July 17. "The drone was remotely guided and half submerged–like a torpedo."

The source cited is said to be a US intelligence official who is speaking out anonymously "from the point of view of those in the American intelligence community who don’t feel they have the ear of President Joe Biden but should."

"Our national strategy is that Zelensky can do whatever he wants to do. There’s no adult supervision," the US official complained.

DJ, my view-the latest attack on the Crimea bridge may have been a US attack with a "sea drone" with the Ukraine yellow-blue flag painted on it...The US may be behind the drone war in Ukraine (with drone pilots in Rammstein-Germany and the US) ...Of course in Vietnam the US and Russia/Soviet Union were fighting each other also...

https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/drone-attack-against-moscow-again or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/drone-attack-against-moscow-again ;

10:18 PM EDT -- Within the hour, another Drone attack took place against Moscow, Russia.  Video below shows the impact and explosion against office buildings.

Apparently, video was being taken by a young child, fascinated at the city center skyscrapers, when the very noticeable whine of a Drone is heard.  The whine drops and you can hear the drone accelerating downward when a large explosion hits, and is seen on video, about one block away.

The poor child screams in terror and begins to cry.

DJ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorism or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorism ; Terrorism, in its broadest sense, is the use of intentional violence and fear to achieve political or ideological aims. The term is used in this regard primarily to refer to intentional violence during peacetime or in the context of war against non-combatants (mostly civilians and neutral military personnel).[1]

Most of NATO "Ukraine" attacks on Moscow or other parts of Russia fall under the definition of terrorism-do NOT have any military use...Air defense bringing down missiles or getting out of control also do damage - often on the people they are supposed to protect...Western "media/propaganda" pictures these "events" as proof of Russian terror...

DJ-In most of the west by now support of the NATO war in/for Ukraine is limited and decreasing...To many Ukraine lies decrease even political support. The "story" the Ukraine war started february 2022 is corrected with the point of the 2014 Maidan-Kiev western coup...There was an Ukraine conflict before Russia moved in in its "Special Military Operation"...

The U.S. has the most unequal, or aristocratic and anti-democratic, distribution of wealth, of all of the major economies — and this is now set (on account of tax-law changes that started in 1986) to become vastly worse and what one leading legal scholar is already predicting to create “the New Feudalism” in which America will be competing with the worst of the old forms of feudalism: permanent institutionalized and legalized castes, at the top of which, it will be practically indistinguishable from that of the titled “Nobility,” which the American Revolution had been revolting against and overthrew.

Polling shows that today’s Americans place very low priority upon reversing this trend, which is now becoming a flood that drowns-out any real hope of a restoration of some degree of democracy in this country. Whereas Democrats care somewhat about this matter, Republicans care very little about it. In any case, the U.S. is already the most economically unequal of the world’s leading economies.

-

The U.S. is increasingly becoming the world’s stand-out model of dictatorship, locked-in, by caste. It’s increasingly winner-take-all, and keep-it-forever.

DJ...it are the "poor" that have to pay for this NATO-BRICS neo-colonial war....Just like climate crisis, pandemics, the elite does create the problem only to make even more profits from the destruction they bring...

DJ, There is discussion on over "what piece of water" there will be a confrontation. Some stick to the Black Sea...in my opinion the Black Sea- for now-is under Russian control. Türkiye can not allow more NATO ships into the Black Sea...NATO could start building ships in NATO member states on the Black Sea...Russia is increasing ship building activities near the Black Sea...has air/escalation dominance here...

African nations defy Collective West, attend Russia-Africa summit

I think the Russia-Africa top has to be seen as part of BRICS expansion...There was some "news" on Saudi Arabia trying to create a peace initiative to find a way out of the Ukraine war...Africa, China have been active here as well...The US stand is;

-Putin must go

-Russia must break ties with China

-Russia pull out of Ukraine (and no doubt Syria, Africa)

This US/biden stand is not realistic...it is only making BRICS stronger...

Again-my view-what is next;

-More tries to get some sort of way out of the Ukraine war...if that fails

-BRICS may go for military confrontations on MANY fronts

-EU, UK, Türkiye, Israel may be rethinking there "position"...go for their own deal

-In the US pressure will grow to stop the insane "hate of Russia" obsession called "foreign policy" that -at the end- will destroy both the US and NATO...

AGAIN; THE WEST IS DESTROYING ITSELF !!!

In two world wars the UK had to hand over its leading position to the US...Maybe "peak US" lasted from atomic bomb 1945 to Vietnam war 1973...After 1973 the EU did become a major factor...In this Ukraine war not only did the US try to "break BRICS" but also to "keep Germany/EU down" ...more "defense/war spending" via NATO had to end up in the US war industry (and its political share holders making profits out of mass murder/war...)

One could claim hitler was brought to power via the Bush family a.o. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2004/sep/25/usa.secondworldwar or https://www.theguardian.com/world/2004/sep/25/usa.secondworldwar ...when two fight a third one wins....

However this time the "plan/strategy" backfired...the US pushed for this Ukraine war hoping it would weaken both the EU and Russia...result in a stronger position for the US...it does not !

The last nuclear arms control agreement between the United States and Russia continues hanging in the balance. Already key aspects to the New START treaty have been rolled back by both sides, such as mutual inspections of nuclear arsenals, but this week it's emerged that the White House is withholding an expected proposal that was due to be given to Russia on nuclear limitations.

Arms control experts have denounced President's Biden's failure to submit the proposal to Moscow, arguing it puts both superpowers on a further collision course which may eventually have catastrophic nuclear consequences.

According to Reuters, "Russia's apparent rejection of the plan last week and what several arms control experts say was a White House failure to formally convey it to Moscow have fueled concerns about whether there would be enough time to reach a new pact."

DJ, you can not have talks with a government you want to destroy...The US wants Putin out...a pro-US government in Moscow- that is NOT a basis for any talks...

The Ukraine Project as an existential conflict

Russia has been forced to fight against a neighbor and kin that it simply can’t afford to lose; and as a nuclear and hypersonic power, it won’t.

Even if Moscow will be somewhat strategically weakened, whatever the outcome, it’s the US – in the view of Chinese scholars – that may have committed its greatest strategic blunder since the establishment of the Empire: turning the Ukraine Project into an existential conflict, and committing the entire Empire and all its vassals to a Total War against Russia.

That’s why we have no peace negotiations, and the refusal even of a cease fire; the only possible outcome devised by the Straussian neocon psychos who run US foreign policy is unconditional Russian surrender.

In the recent past, Washington could afford to lose its wars of choice against Vietnam and Afghanistan. But it simply can’t afford to lose the war on Russia. When that happens, and it’s already on the horizon, the Revolt of the Vassals will be far reaching.

It’s quite clear that from now on China and BRICS+ – with expansion starting at the summit in South Africa next month – will turbo-charge the undermining of the US dollar. With or without India.

DJ, You do NOT need one BRICS currency to "destroy" the US$...not doing international trade in US$ will do that job...

DJ, Dutch (NOS) TV-news did "leave room" for twisting "Russian opposition" may use drones against Moscow...

The Duran https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnQ3jaKSdXE or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnQ3jaKSdXE on German -and with that- EU economic collapse...Maybe as a reminder Germany belonged to the "strong countries" making an EU even possible...(NL, Austria, Finland also in that group). DJ-The EU moving east - in a hurry- to include former "East-bloc" countries; Baltics, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria...and the Euro -without a good basic plan- in my view also may "take revenge"...

The Duran; The basic idea behind the "war in Ukraine" was to steal Russian oil and gas.."a weaker Russia" would mean lower fossil energy prizes...

DJ-I am certainly NOT anti-EU...(being Dutch, NL did profit most from an European Market !) or the Euro...but it may show to be a "too big a job" to include weak economies AND go for one currency including to many countries...Southern Europe may have been -economicly- better of when they could have reduced the value of their currency to increase exports. They did no longer have that tool because they "had to join" the Euro (in fact based on strong German, NL and few other currencies...).

Maybe even an "European Free trade Agreement" -once a Nordic alternative- may have been better for the Baltics, Finland, Scandinavia...maybe even Poland...Their economy is different from NL, Germany...so "putting it all in the same mix" by now may not have been the wisest choice...

As the Duran notices; in statistics the US economy did grow high speed since 2008...EU only did see a 6% increase in those 15+ years...(other side of the story is US debts may have grown over 86%...so it is a "paper story"...).

Neo-liberalism did increase economic inequality and destroyed the public sector. From public healthcare, education to public housing, public transport "market economies" did see incomes in the public sector drop..."Financial services" (tax evasion) may have boomed...it does not make countries stronger...it makes a few people very rich..at the cost of most.

One may link "limiting SARS-1" in 2003 with the 2020 SARS-2 "explosion" to destroying the public sector...

Saudi Arabia is set to host talks in August about Ukraine, inviting Western states, Ukraine and major developing countries including India and Brazil, the Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday.The meeting would bring senior officials from up to 30 countries, including Indonesia, Egypt, Mexico, Chile and Zambia, to Jeddah on Aug 5 and 6, the report said, citing diplomats involved in the discussion.

The leaders of a 15-nation West African bloc have given Niger's junta a week to return power to the country's civilian authorities or face consequences, including the use of force.

The regional grouping called the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), issued the threat at an emergency meeting in Nigeria on Sunday.

Niger's military has been holding the country's President Mohamed Bazoum since last week in the seventh coup to hit Africa's Sahel region in recent years. General Abdourahamane Tiani, the head of the powerful presidential guard, has declared himself leader.

In its statement, ECOWAS said unless the military hands over the power back to Bazoum within a week, the bloc would take "all measures" to restore constitutional order.

DJ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economic_Community_of_West_African_States#Membership_2 or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economic_Community_of_West_African_States#Membership_2 there is a "fight for Africa" with Russia military (Wagner) and China, India economic increasing their role...limiting EU (former colonizers) and US interests...related;

The US military is readying approximately 2,500 service members for deployment in the West Asian region, as its proxy forces in Syria’s northeast and al-Tanf areas seek potential alliances with Takfiri terrorists in the northwestern Idlib province.

With tensions boiling between the Syrian government-aligned forces and the US occupation troops in the war-ravaged Arab country, it might be a sign of more violence on the way, observers believe.

According to a report published in New York local media in mid-July, some 2,500 10th Mountain Division soldiers were being sent “off to combat” in Iraq and Syria.

It is not exactly clear how many soldiers from the light-infantry division will be dispatched for operations in the two West Asian countries.

However, the number of forces being sent rings true with a report from the Turkish newspaper, Yeni Safak, that claimed Washington was preparing to send 2,500 troops to northeast Syria.

The US currently maintains, at least publicly, that it has around 900 active-duty service members deployed to Syria, a number which is speculated to be much higher.

If the US is indeed sending additional forces to the region, it could indicate that its objectives have slightly changed in the northeast of the country.

DJ The US created IS, alquaida...just like NATO has been supporting fascist dictators in Latin America and now is supporting neo-nazi scum in Ukraine...

In Africa, Asia "IS showed up" in oil rich nations not following US orders/rules...In the past Gulf States were a main sponsor of wahabism...jihadism..So those Gulf countries have to show what they can bring if they want to join BRICS+ Saudi Arabia, UAE may have "made a deal" with Iran via China..May go for "energy interests" via OPEC+ (importing Russian energy to increase their own export at a higher price...)

MOSCOW, July 31. /TASS/. Representatives of dozens of countries are expected to attend the Eastern Economic Forum to be held in Vladivostok on September 10-13, Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Yury Trutnev told reporters, adding that interest in the forum this year is at the same level as last year, if not higher.

"Today we do not feel that the interest in the Forum is lower than in previous years. We also count on the presence of representatives of dozens of neighboring and non-neighboring countries from all over the world. We will work together," he said.

Last year, the Eastern Economic Forum was attended by more than 7,000 participants from 68 countries and territories. The largest foreign delegations were from China, Myanmar, Mongolia, India, Armenia and South Korea. As part of the Forum's main program, over 100 events were held and 296 agreements were signed for a total of 3.3 trillion rubles ($35.8 bln).

the main front in the NATO-BRICS+ conflict is economic...End of august has a BRICS meeting in South Africa...so this mid-september Vladivostok meeting may be a follew-up of the BRICS+ meeting...

⚡️ Thousands of Nigeriens demonstrate in support of the coup that removed the Western-backed President. The Russian flag seems to have become a symbol against Western colonialism in many African countries

and

ECOWAS is a bloody scam. Controlled by France, UK and US. They gave a one-week ultimatum to the Niger military. And threaten to invade Niger. That’s on top of the rotten EU “garden” suspending $$$ and “security cooperation”.

DJ, ECOWAS was "created" in 1975 and can be seen as neo-colonial...replacing "white rule" by "puppet rule"...just like "western democracies" use zelenski, have many other puppets for many other countries...

From a history perspective; Treating people as slaves because of the color of their skin was linked to a "religious order" with "kings/queens" placed in power by a "god"...poverty as the "will of the same god"...any protest against it a "sin"....

Most western democracies face the risk of "uni parti-ism"...maybe more than one political party but these parties may not differ enough to make it a real democracy...

In Germany christian democrats would get 26% of the votes, afd at 22%...the present government would be destroyed...so we may not see elections soon in Germany...

DJ, What to think of Niger...https://southfront.org/niger-suspends-uranium-gold-exports-amid-rumors-of-imminent-french-military-intervention/ or https://southfront.org/niger-suspends-uranium-gold-exports-amid-rumors-of-imminent-french-military-intervention/

Currently, there are emerging reports in Mideast-Africa regional sources that Niger (under the junta) has suspended all exports of uranium and gold to France. FT is confirming:

The junta has continued to step up anti-French rhetoric. It announced it was suspending the export of uranium to France with immediate effect. Niger is the world’s seventh-largest producer of Uranium and France, which relies on nuclear energy for 75 per cent of its power, is a significant importer.

There are already widespread allegations of direct French military intervention being imminent, after on Friday the head of the presidential guards unit Gen Abdourahmane Tchiani declared himself Niger’s new ruler of the country.

or Democracy Now; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLCd6vxniow or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLCd6vxniow ;

We look at the growing crisis in Niger, where the country's democratically elected president, Mohamed Bazoum, was overthrown last week by his own presidential guard. One of the coup's leaders, Brigadier General Moussa Salaou Barmou, was trained by the U.S., making the Nigerien coup the 11th in West Africa since 2008 to involve U.S.-trained military officers.

The U.S. has approximately 1,000 troops in Niger, where it's also spent $100 million building a drone base in its ongoing "war on terror."

The Biden administration has so far refused to describe last week's event as a coup, because doing so would force Washington to cut security aid to Niger. While the reasons for the coup are still unclear, it is part of a worrying trend in the region, where "countries that have oversized involvement of the military in political life … are far more likely to have an ongoing pattern of military coups," according to Stephanie Savell, the co-director of the Costs of War Project at Brown University's Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs.

DJ, In countries "kept poor" that have energy one may also see US/NATO military offering protection against IS...My view; NATO imports IS to have an excuse for their presence...

France has a major nuclear energy sector-EU claims it wants to sanction Russian uranium...Niger is #6 or #7 in Uranium, also major gold exporter...and still poor...DJ-I find it bizarre "the west" is surprised African people are totally fed up with poverty...Mali, Burkina Faso will not accept western intervention in Niger...Nigeria (under UK presure) may be thinking of "moving in"...

- Plan to block the Batlic/Sint Petersburg port ...however the US may not like that idea...would further increase energy price...Russia may transport more via other routes...

-Also stealing Russia money in western banks may backfire...why would any country keep money in western banks if "politics" in those countries simply think they can steal it...

China's ambassador to Russia has strongly warned the United States-led Western military alliance of NATO against expansion into the Asia-Pacific region.

"NATO’s expansion to the east, to the Asia Pacific region will only increase regional tension, add to the crisis of confidence," Zhang Hanhui told Russia's ITAR-TASS news agency in an interview on Tuesday.

The alliance's eastward advances also threaten "to spur an arms race, spoil the atmosphere of regional cooperation, provoke confrontation between the camps, and even a new Cold War," the envoy added.

Observers have been similarly warning that the US-led alliance was no longer confined to its traditional military missions, and was aggressively expanding its footprints in the Asia-Pacific region as means of besieging China.

DJ; US-NATO military expansion does not know any limits...NATO now has an office in Japan...may include South Korea, Australia, New Zealand in its new colonization...anti-BRICS...

The opening of the 2024 election season was launched this week with the House Oversight Committee getting testimony from Hunter Biden's business partner Devon Archer over several documents related to Burisma. The following day confirmed this with the opening of another indictment against Donald Trump.

The timeline proves that these were not independent events.

Andrew Clark @AndrewHClark - 21:15 UTC · Aug 2, 2023

This timeline is actually incredible. I mean come on.

3/17 - Hunter admits laptop
3/18 - Trump indictment news

6/8 - FBI doc alleges Biden bribe
6/9 - Trump indicted

7/26 - Hunter plea deal collapses
7/27 - Trump indicted

7/31 - Devon Archer testifies
8/1 - Trump indicted

The election strategy of the Biden administration and the Democratic party seems to be to deprive Donald Trump of the time and means to go stumping across the country. That however is likely to fail.

-

How will that look to the voters?

On the one side we have a case which shows the deep corruption of 'the big guy' and his family who are supported by the deep state they control.

On the other side we have the underdog who thought he was doing the right thing but is now indicted by the deep state for, at that time,  saying so.

The media will shine the light on both cases. Each time they will mention Trump it will, independent of what they write about him, be positive for him by making the case of the lone guy who gets unfairly prosecuted by the deep state.

Each time the Biden case will be mentioned it will remind the public of Biden's corrupt dealings.

Proceed through that for sixteen month and the outcome is assured.

As much as I dislike Donald Trump, I see no way, aside from criminal manipulation, Joe Biden can take to win this thing.

DJ, US politics has become an insult for democracy....

DJ,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_LL4ktTr4k or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_LL4ktTr4k Democracy Now/DN on Niger;

Last Wednesday, Nigerien military officers announced they had overthrown President Mohamed Bazoum, a close ally of the United States and France. ECOWAS, an economic bloc of West African countries, has threatened to take military action unless the coup is reversed by Sunday.

But the leader of Niger's new military junta has vowed to defy any attempts to restore the former president to power, while Burkina Faso, Mali and Guinea — all, like Niger, former French colonies that have undergone military coups in the past three years — have warned against any foreign intervention in Niger.

Meanwhile, Niger's new leaders have announced the country will end military cooperation with France, whose outsized presence in its former colony is a major source of resentment in the resource-rich but still poverty-stricken nation.

We speak to Nick Turse, an investigative journalist and contributing writer for _The Intercept_. He recently revealed that one of the leaders of the coup in Niger, Brigadier General Moussa Salaou Barmou, was previously trained by the U.S. military, as were the leaders of nearly a dozen other coups in West Africa since 2008.

We also speak to Olayinka Ajala, a senior lecturer in politics and international relations at Leeds Beckett University, who says Niger and its neighbors must tread carefully in order to avoid a "very bloody" military conflict.

The US and France are "very involved" in Niger...Wagner/Russia is NOT in Niger...did not support the Niger coup...However the Bukina Faso military leader last month on the Russia-Africa meeting in St.Petersburg asked why very rich resources Africa still is that poor...French mining companies run uranium, gold etc. mining in Niger...

DJ-Very likely Africa was hit very hard in the CoViD pandemic-but it came on top of many other healthcrises so it was less visable..France would like "intervention" in Niger...but it may not have the military means...Algeria is strongly against any military intervention...

My view; Russia may be trying diplomacy to limit the crisis in Niger...The Democracy Now video also mentioned West Africa had 11 terrorist/jihadist actions in 2008...in 2022 -with over a decade of "NATO countries fighting terrorism" there were 2,700 terrorist act killing hundreds...DJ-So what do western countries do "fighting terror" ? The CNN poll seem to contradict the one by Newsweek on the most important question:

When asked specifically about types of assistance the US could provide to Ukraine, there is broader support for help with intelligence gathering (63%) and military training (53%) than for providing weapons (43%), alongside very slim backing for US military forces to participate in combat operations (17%).

There is a strong partisan divide about supporting the war:

Within both parties, there are splits by ideology. On providing additional funding, liberal Democrats are far and away the most supportive, 74% back it compared with 51% of moderate or conservative Democrats. Among Republicans, about three-quarters of conservatives oppose new funding (76%) compared with 61% of moderate or liberal Republicans.

Independents mostly say the US has done enough to help Ukraine (56%) and that they oppose additional funding (55%).

The progressives in the U.S., like the Greens in Europe, are now the fringe that is most eager to pursue the war. They are, of course, also those who are the least eager to serve in the military.

It is interesting to compare that with a change in opinion of young Poles, aged 16-34:

There has been a fundamental shift when it comes to the stance that young Poles think their government should adopt in the war in Ukraine. In 2022, an overwhelming majority of 83% argued that the government should support Ukraine – but this number has changed drastically.

Now, 65% of respondents back continuous support for Ukraine, whereas the remaining 34% wish for Poland to stay neutral. Clearly, more than one and a half years into the current phase of the conflict and amid fears of other countries being pulled into the war, young people have become more cautious.

Those numbers are a month old. It is likely that the support has sunk further and will no longer be in a majority by the end of this year.

While no poll can be trusted fully they show in aggregate that the general opinion is moving away from supporting the war.

That gives some hope that any unnecessary prolonging of the war, which some neoconservative circles seem to wish, will be met by a strong opposition.

DJ, I consider myself "green" so I am very anti war-and anti NATO...What is wrong with those "green progressives" being pro-war as long as they do not have to fight it ?

On the long run support for more war -with people not willing to fight being pro-war- is not "very constructive"....In Germany the "greens" were supposed to be very anti-war...so a lot of green voters may be disgusted with present German "green" "politicians" as crazy war mongers...In Germany Sahrah Wagenknecht was a member from "the left/Die Linke" may be kicked out of that party for being very anti NATO wars...In the US "trump" may be the one willing to end/avoid wars...

For me one of the big questions is what is going wrong with "progressive parties supporting NATO terror"...???? (Here in NL Bij1 was a progressive anti-war party but its leader had to stop because of Long CoViD...).

There is a major political crisis in the west; blue color workers vote right wing parties..."progressive intelectuals" are "pro-war"...crazy world !

DJ-Of course a mix of (global) wars and a healthcrises are a bad mix...Without World War One (one could claim we had "world wars" before 1914 several times...Maybe 1492 Columbus in Hispaniola as a start ? Or do we go back even further ?) the "Spanish Flu" would not have been able to kill between 20 and 100 million (2-5% of global population at that time) between 1917 and 1923...

-NL news had an item on Myanmar. Of course they did NOT mention it as a US/NATO-China conflict..."bad Myanmar military" "killing civilians"...reported by a "democratic Burma government in exile" using the colonial name the UK used for Myanmar...The "west" has a puppet regime for every country not following western orders...

Very likely Myanmar may be an "Ukraine like" war in East Asia.

#Opinion: The American people are losing trust in all of their institutions including those they’ve historically trusted the most, such as the US military. This loss of trust is not because the US military itself is inherently untrustworthy, but because America's political leadership have used, abused and exhausted it. https://globaltimes.cn/page/202308/1295758.shtml

DJ, Brian Berletic/New Atlas trying to follow the wars/developments in East Asia...

Of course -one can keep things very simple- the US want to see itself as #1, the dominant player in the world...with 4% of the global population (335 million-global over 8 billion).

-Is NATO now sending SU-24 "Ukraine"planes with (2) UK Storm Shadow missiles from Poland ? To attack bridges/infrastructure behind Russian lines ?

DJ-Baltic states/Finland may try to block St.Petersburg, NATO may try to prevent Russia using ports in the Black Sea but it may have "limited" effect for Russia. Russia moved trade to Asia.

A combined Russian and Chinese naval force patrolled near the coast of Alaska earlier this week in what U.S. experts said appeared to be the largest such flotilla to approach American shores.

Eleven Russian and Chinese ships steamed close to the Aleutian Islands, according to U.S. officials. The ships, which never entered U.S. territorial waters and have since left, were shadowed by four U.S. destroyers and P-8 Poseidon aircraft.

DJ, India did see this years harvest being bad...so it needs more food imports. Russia may be able to export more food to India.

------------

DJ-Russia does not have a need to change that much in its Ukraine strategy. As long as Ukraine/NATO forces keep attacking and getting destroyed the de-militarization -now also of NATO- is "doing the job"  for Russia.

I think Russia could go for a security zone on the Ukraine-Russia (and Belarus-Wagner ?) border. Keeping the frontlines close to its borders gives Russia a logistics advantage...NATO need to transport its "aid" from Poland-almost 1000 kilometers under Russian strikes...

Also production is not a real problem for Russia. It may buy weapons from Myanmar, Iran, North Korea because of lower prices...not because they ran out of production capacity...

Support for the NATO wars is dropping high speed in "the west"...

-The Ukraine "project" since 2014 may have cost trillions....

-In Syria/Iraq US/NATO may run out of options/bases...

-Africa is moving towards BRICS

-In SE Asia countries like the Philippines, Vienam, Indonesia may not agree with the Chinese view on the South China Sea..."western help" does only make matters worse...So maybe Saudi Arabia, (South) Africa, Brazil may offer a way out ?

In general the BRICS+ alternative may be doing a better job in solving problems than the "US-led alternative"  only resulting in war and chaos...

Time is NOT on the side for the NATO-west...Here in NW Europe "weather" is bad...winter may see increased energy needs. The healthcrises are getting worse...

I do expect political collapse in lots of western countries soon...

https://www.zerohedge.com/personal-finance/real-threat-market-driven-dollar-downgrade or https://www.zerohedge.com/personal-finance/real-threat-market-driven-dollar-downgrade ;

Last week, Fitch Ratings downgraded the US’s long-term credit rating from AAA to AA+. While the downgrade won’t significantly impact the US government’s ability to borrow, it should serve as a wake-up call because there is a much bigger problem looming on the horizon: a market-driven downgrade of the US dollar.

-

The Fitch Downgrade and the Bigger Problem

With the current debt ceiling fight resolved, Fitch removed the US’s Issuer Default Rating from “watch negative” to “a stable outlook.” But the end of the debt ceiling standoff wasn’t enough to alleviate fears about America’s debt trajectory.

"The repeated debt-limit political standoffs and last-minute resolutions have eroded confidence in fiscal management.”

Nevertheless, the markets generally brushed off the Fitch downgrade. And in the big scheme of things, it is irrelevant.

It doesn’t even make sense to apply a credit rating on the US government. The point of a rating is to indicate the likelihood of default. Nobody is really worried about the US government defaulting because the Federal Reserve can always create more money.

But that doesn’t mean there is no risk in buying US Treasuries. And that risk applies to any bond you buy with US dollars. It doesn’t matter how credit-worthy the issuer of the bond happens to be. In fact, the same risk applies if you take your dollars and stuff them under the mattress.

That risk is inflation.

Every day, your dollar is losing its purchasing power.

Dollar depreciation is like a default. If a government has to resort to a printing press to pay off its bills, you still get your money back when a government bond matures, but you lose purchasing power. The dollars you get back won’t buy as much stuff.

So, an honest rating of US government debt would be junk status — not because of the default risk but because of the high likelihood that it will continue to inflate away the dollar’s value.

In fact, we’re insulting to junk status. You are guaranteed to lose with a long-term US Treasury. There is no chance that you will buy a 30-year Treasury with a yield of just over 4% today and break even at the end of that term. Sure, you’ll get all of your dollars back (most likely), but those dollars won’t have anywhere near the value that they had when you loaned them out.

That raises a key question: if you’re guaranteed to lose with a bond, what should the rating be?

At some point, people need to realize that the fact the US government will have to print money in order to pay its debts is a reason not to buy Treasuries. Keep in mind, Treasuries are just future payments of US dollars. So, you should really be looking at the rating of the currency and consider what the dollar will be worth in 30 years. Will that 4% interest cover what you lose through inflation over that period of time and give you some kind of positive return?

The bottom line is the rating is meaningless. All US government debt is junk. People need to get out of all dollar-denominated debt as quickly as they can.

Bidenomics downgrade, from AAA to AA+

DJ, 2024 will bring the biden-trump US elections...In fact the US will be bankrupt by november 24...not only financial also political...

-Africa may decide NOT to push for regime change in Niger...so France, US may be kicked out...There could be Russian/African Wagner PMC's willing to "help" with that...

-So far NATO did use IS/alquaida "good terrorists" to "promote peace, democrazy, western values" in lots of regime change wars...Gulf States/Türkiye may no longer cooperate

-The Ukraine suïcide very likely will see the collapse of the zelenski-puppet regime within months...(Afghanistan may be a reminder things could go even faster...)

THE road map. Russia takes Odessa. Black Sea: Russian lake. Danube connects Black Sea and the INSTC (major players: Russia, Iran, India) to Eastern/Central Europe. Opens extra BRI corridor. Eurasia integration advances. EU implosion.

DJ, NApoleon, NAzi's now NAto find an end fighting Russia...The EU may find a way to "deal with new situations"...maybe the same "leaders" will show pragmatism...(and a total lack of vision, values etc...) and most people accept that...

The NATO expansion war is killing hundreds of thousends and there is hardly any protest against this mass murder...Maybe that is the most shocking aspect; total indifference...

Thousends of refugees die on their way to "rich countries" each year..."no problem" for most..."politicians" want even more "defenses against refugees"....killing even more people...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milgram_experiment or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milgram_experiment ;

The Milgram experiment(s) on obedience to authority figures were a series of social psychology experiments conducted by Yale University psychologist Stanley Milgram. They measured the willingness of study participants, 40 men in the age range of 20 to 50 from a diverse range of occupations with varying levels of education, to obey an authority figure who instructed them to perform acts conflicting with their personal conscience. Participants were led to believe that they were assisting an unrelated experiment, in which they had to administer electric shocks to a "learner". These fake electric shocks gradually increased to levels that would have been fatal had they been real.[2]

The experiment found, unexpectedly, that a very high proportion of subjects would fully obey the instructions, with every participant going up to 300 volts, and 65% going up to the full 450 volts. Milgram first described his research in a 1963 article in the Journal of Abnormal and Social Psychology[1] and later discussed his findings in greater depth in his 1974 book, Obedience to Authority: An Experimental View.[3]

The experiments began on August 7, 1961[4] (after a grant proposal was approved in July), in the basement of Linsly-Chittenden Hall at Yale University,[5] three months after the start of the trial of German Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann in Jerusalem. Milgram devised his psychological study to explain the psychology of genocide and answer the popular contemporary question: "Could it be that Eichmann and his million accomplices in the Holocaust were just following orders? Could we call them all accomplices?"[6]

While the experiment itself was repeated many times around the globe, with fairly consistent results, [7] both it's interpretations as well as its applicability to the holocaust are disputed. [8]

DJ, the main reason we do not learn from history is we do not want to learn from history...Being confronted with our many imperfections is painfull-however understanding and accepting human weaknesses and limits could help to avoid making mistakes over and over again...

In many ways we are de facto already in a world war between NATO and BRICS with wars in Ukraine, Syria/Iraq, Myanmar and "Africa"...NATO attacks on Russian tankers (Russian word is "tahkep") on its way to Syria is part of the widening of conflicts...https://ejmagnier.com/2023/08/04/one-of-the-results-of-the-us-russian-war-africa-rebelling-against-imperialism/ or https://ejmagnier.com/2023/08/04/one-of-the-results-of-the-us-russian-war-africa-rebelling-against-imperialism/

Let me again underline the pandemic links with the NATO-BRICS conflict; NATO is spending/creating money on wars...NOT on healthcare...

The most important front is the economic one...NOT the proxy-wars in Ukraine, Syria/Iraq, Africa, Myanmar...etc. in many ways those wars are distraction, "side-shows"...

These articles are certainly not the best https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/us-eu-big-trouble-coming-brics-and-oil or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/us-eu-big-trouble-coming-brics-and-oil ;

As of late Tuesday evening, August 8, 2023, countries expressing their intent to join BRICS account for SIXTY PERCENT (60%) of known global oil/gas reserves.  At the very least, this means sixty percent of the worlds oil sales will take place in a currency OTHER THAN the U.S. Dollar, once BRICS brings their new, gold-backed currency to life.

The official announcement surrounding the development of this new currency is scheduled to be made on August 22.  The currency is not created yet and is not available yet.

But this change will come like a lightning bolt out of the blue for the Untied States.

As things are right now, ALL oil sales around the world, are done only in U.S. Dollars.  So every country that needs oil, or which sells oil, conducts those transactions only in DOLLARS.

That means every country on the planet needs to hold physical dollars in its central bank, so that the country can buy the oil/gas it needs.

Once the new BRICS currency comes online, all those excess DOLLARS being held all over the world, will start to come back tot he United States.

Thus, the value of OUR currency will drop against all those other currencies, because nobody will want or need our DOLLARS anymore.

Now, bear in mind, the US does not manufacture much of anything anymore.  We import all our stuff.

So as the value of our DOLLAR falls against foreign currencies, the cost of the things we buy will utterly skyrocket because our currency is worth less and less compared to other country's currencies.

DJ, The US may be the #1 oil producer...One problem is the US is wasting energy like crazy...Fracking has its limits...

You do not need BRICS single currency...just no longer usage of US$ will do...and that is only gaining speed-has already started a.o. in Russia-India, Saudi-China trade...

The basic US problem is its tendency to self-destruction by creating US$ out of thin air-because the US was in a position to do so....It no longer is....but the US is build on a mountain of debt...

https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/second-proxy-war-brewing-between-us-russia-niger-africa or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/second-proxy-war-brewing-between-us-russia-niger-africa ;Well, when the military coup took place, thousands of regular citizens in Niger came out in SUPPORT of the troops and one man sized-up the situation almost perfectly.   He said,  "Niger has Uranium, Diamonds, Gold, and oil, yet we live like slaves.  This is unacceptable."

-

So France has no Gold mines, but has over 2400 TONS of gold in its Bank vaults.   Mali has 860 Gold mines, but NO GOLD in any of its Bank vaults.  So where is France getting all its Gold? Simple; they take it from Mali!  The people of Mali, get no benefit from THEIR own natural wealth.

People in Africa have had enough of this type of thing going on, while THEY are forced to live like slaves.

The military in Niger has taken a bold first step to break the status quo.  France is not happy.

-

Turns out that Niger is right in the path of . . . .  a proposed new OIL and GAS pipeline ! ! ! ! !

It would run from the well established oil/gas fields in nearby NIGERIA, up through Niger, through Algeria, where it would meet existing pipelines to supply Europe with Oil and gas.

CHEAP oil and gas.

But with the Russia-Ukraine conflict ongoing, and the hideous "Economic Sanctions" placed upon Russia by the US and Europe, Russia signed military agreements with a number of Africa nations.

-

As long as Europe continues to intentionally harm Russia, it seems that Russia will continue to fight back.

So now we see that Russia has gotten in the way of European plans -- again.    Just like happened in Syria.

Remember the Europeans wanted to run a gas pipeline from the Middle Eastern country of Qatar, up through - among other countries - Syria, but Syria said No.

So what did Europe and the United States do to Syria?  That whole uprising which began in 2012 that tried to oust Syrian President Bashar Assad.  Remember Hillary Clinton telling the world that Bashar Assad was "a brutal Dictator."  Remember how the "Free Syrian Army" seemed to spring up out of nowhere, with heavy weapons, brand new Toyota Pick-up trucks, and tons of food supplies from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates and more?  Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the West sent in paid mercenaries, under the guise of "ISIS" (yes, you know, the guys who cut off people's heads) to try to overthrow Assad.

Assad went to Russia for help, and Russia came to Syria and smashed the crap out of ISIS.

So Russia and its ally, Syria, smacked down Europe's effort to make an end-run around Russia, to get gas from Qatar, and that ended up blowing up in Europe's face.  Bashar Assad survived the attempted overthrow and still leads Syria to this very day.

Next, the West started trouble in Ukraine - overthrowing its democratically-elected leader, Viktor Yanukovich, and installing a puppet Regime. Why? Because the West (U.S. and EU) want to install US missiles in Ukraine so they have only about a 5 minute flight time to Moscow.

Russia said "No."

The West said "too bad, we will bring Ukraine into NATO and do it anyway."

-

Wagner Troops from Russia are already in the Capital City of Niamey, Niger, at the request of the Niger military, to protect the Capital city.

Why would Wagner PMC Troops from Russia be there so fast?   Well, when the Niger coup took place, guess who France, the EU and the USA turned to for support?

ECOWAS.

I can hear you saying . . . . . . "Uhhhhhhh.  Who?"

ECOWAS  ---- the "Economic Community oWest African States.

It's sort of like the African version of the "G-7" and deals with issues like trade and such.

ECOWAS publicly gave a deadline of Sunday for the guys in Niger to restore the President or face military action!  The deadline came and went, but no military action.

How could ECOWAS threaten military action if it is just a trade association?   Well  . . . . it is headed by a guy named Bola Tinubu.

This guy has a VERY INTERESTING Background: Laundering millions of dollars for . . . . wait for it . . . . Chicago Heroin Dealers!

THIS is the type of person our governments are working with!  A Money launderer for Chicago Heroin dealers rubbing elbows with the Biden regime in the US and the Macron Regime in France.  THAT is the type of people we have running our governments, folks!

One cannot help but wonder how a Chicago Money Launderer got in touch with the Biden regime.  Maybe the former President, Barack Obama, who is from Chicago?????  Just wondering is all.

So now, with this guy Bola Tinubu threatening military action, the guys in Niger have to worry that the Asian Heroin Cartels and their pals from elsewhere in the world, might start sending "mercenaries" to Niger to shake things up a bit?  Maybe THAT is how Bola Tinubu could threaten "military action?"

-

Clearly, the pieces are already moving rapidly into place for what seems to be Proxy-War #2.   On the continent of Africa.

But this time, the US and the EU don't have a lot of ammunition or weapons -- or troops -- to spare because they've thrown most of it away on the lost cause of Ukraine.   HMMMMM, what might that add-up to?

Well. . . it's Africa . . . .  You know, where the detonation of Tactical nukes won't matter very much . . . .

The so-called "Main-Stream" media hasn't told you this.  I have.

DJ-One could see an African (extra) war as a fourth proxy war...not as a second one...HT however may have some good points;

The west has been working with criminals before https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manuel_Noriega#Rise_to_power or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manuel_Noriega#Rise_to_power is just one of many...Algeria is against western intervention in Niger...but they very likely will welcome extra income from Nigeria-Algeria energy links to the EU...

DJ-Africa may have decided NOT to go to war....

Ukraine Russia War - Reality Setting In w/Col Doug Macgregor

DJ; some reasons why Russia is NOT starting a major offensive in Ukraine;

-Logistics...most of the fighting is near Russian supplies...NATO has to cross most of Ukraine to get to the frontlines...

-Limiting losses; Russia may have seen tens-of-thousends of pro-Russian fighters killed...Ukraine/NATO losses will be several times (10x ?) that number...

-Russia is now demilitarizing both Ukraine and NATO why go for another strategy when this one is working ?

-Major frontline is economy...NOT war...and Russia soon may be economy #4...after China-US-India....

However "some" in the west keep pushing for more escalation...without much alternatives risks for nuclear war only grow...

------------

DJ, Western strategy -as long as the west will deny they did lose the Ukraine war- should be energy/etc independence...

more wise than building parts for the F35 at Weeze (former RAF Laarbruch) near the NL border...

Doing more with less energy could also fit in with climate plans...renew EU/US industry...

NATO may drop Ukraine for wars they hope they can win....

A powerful primary explosion and numerous secondary explosions were seen and heard in the al-Shadadi region of the province of Al-Hasek in northeastern Syria. Reports say an Ammunition Dump exploded at the U.S. Military Base has detonated.

Information is very sparse right now.  While the explosions and fire are clearly visible, U.S. Forces are reported to be on alert near the city of Al-Shadadi while American helicopters can be seen flying over the explosion area.

However;

Five #US detainees will be allowed to leave #Iran in exchange for Tehran gaining access to $6 billion of its frozen assets in #Iraq#Korea and #Europe sent troops to the ME before the deal to hide his submission to Iran's conditions.

In Pakistan;

Wow, US Empire uses lawfare coup to destroy Pakistan's democracy, tells starving Afghanistan they can only have the money the US stole from them if they antagonize Iran, and now tells Pakistan to cancel an important pipeline deal. "I have seen the evil empire and it is us." 🇺🇸

-

Pakistan cancels pipeline with Iran. The Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline Project has been formally suspended. Pakistan asserted that due to US sanctions on Iran, it is unable to pursue the project. Iran may sue Pakistan for damages, which could result in Pakistan paying Iran $18 billion as punishment for failing to finish the pipeline.

DJ...So will Pakistan now buy Russian energy via China ? Or does Iranian oil go-by ship-to China and then go to Pakistan ?

The US may end up-again-with empty hands...Iran may increase export to India...or sell its oil to Türkiye, Saudi Arabia -so they can "rename" the oil as Iraqi...

-----------

We are getting close to mid-august...The NATO war in Ukraine is a total disaster....

Lena Petrova https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HYOC1gsW_M or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HYOC1gsW_M  on why the US still claim they are not in a recession...The US simply keeps increasing government debts...

There are lots of lists on GDP https://www.zerohedge.com/economics/visualizing-105-trillion-world-economy-one-chart or https://www.zerohedge.com/economics/visualizing-105-trillion-world-economy-one-chart US-rum IMF claiming Russian economy will decrease

Russia will see the biggest decline, with a projected $150 billion contraction this year. This is equal to about one-third of total decline of all 29 countries with shrinking economies.

Egypt (-$88 billion) and Canada (-$50 billion) combined make up another one-third of lost output.

In Egypt’s case, the drop can be partly explained by the country’s currency (Egyptian pound), which has dropped in value against the U.S. dollar by about 50% since mid-2022.

Russia and Canada are some of the world’s largest oil producers and the oil price has fallen since 2022. A further complication for Russia is that the country has been forced to sell oil at a steep discount because of Western sanctions.

DJ, "Ukraine economy" "would not do that bad" in this IMF garbage "reality"...

Ranking Countries by Economic Size in 2023

The U.S. is expected to continue being the biggest economy in 2023 with a projected GDP of $26.9 trillion for the year. This is more than the sum of the GDPs of 174 countries ranked from Indonesia (17th) to Tuvalu (191st).

China stays steady at second place with a projected $19.4 trillion GDP in 2023. Most of the top-five economies remain in the same positions from 2022, with one notable exception.

India is expected to climb past the UK to become the fifth-largest economy with a projected 2023 GDP of $3.7 trillion.

DJ...one problem with this list may be it is counting in US$...."statistics are a great way to lie"....

I expect the NATO west to see a very major energy crisis THIS WINTER !!! Pushing up inflation...Of course inflation may see "US economy booming" expressed in US$...A cup of coffee selling for 2$ instead of 1$ is "economy growing 100%"...US debts have been in disasterzone for years...as long as other countries could be forced to pay for US debts the US could get away with it...

The basic point; US now is moving towards global war to avoid bankruptcy...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

Military Summary/MS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEP644JtkPE or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEP644JtkPE keeps doing a great job in reporting on the NATO-Russia war in Ukraine...

-We are now in the second half of august...In fall/autumn it may be to muddy to do major military operations...So both Russia and NATO/Ukraine have limited time...

-In Russian missile strikes NATO/Ukraine hardly showed air-defense...Even near the Ukraine-Polish border NATO did not put air defense...MS wonders if NATO did draw the conclusion the NATO air defense may do more harm than good ?

-NATO/Ukraine now using the latest NATO weapons in an offensive...The goal was Tokmak...but that goal is out of reach...Is NATO/Ukraine that low on weapons ?

-The Ukraine gains are (very) limited and may have cost -again- thousends of Ukraine lives...only to get some media victory...

-NATO/Ukraine planning some operations still this year-but major "war" (due to bad weather) will be in 2024...

DJ-There were speculations Ukraine would collapse in august...So far there are no very clear signs for that...NATO may have send more than they could afford...One could claim Russia is now de-militarizing NATO...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_Polish_parliamentary_election or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_Polish_parliamentary_electionParliamentary elections will be held in Poland on 15 October 2023 to elect members of the Sejm and Senate, although they can be held sooner if a snap election is called, which last occurred in 2007. The previous election, in 2019, resulted in the re-election of a majority Law and Justice government, albeit without a majority in the Senate. The Law and Justice government will try to win a record 3rd term.

DJ, Poland is a major factor and NATO-hub in the NATO-Russia war...NATO "politicians" claim NATO is not in a war with Russia...without NATO there simply would not be this war...

---------

Obama claimed Russia had "escalation dominance" in Ukraine...DJ-By containg the war close to Russian borders the logistic-problem in this war is a NATO-problem...It is NATO sending all the "help" from -most-Poland...hundreds of kilometers via most of Ukraine-under Russian air strikes -Russia air superiority !- to the frontlines...

DJ-I think one of the reasons why-so far- we do not see major fighting in Niger/NW Africa- is Russia may be able to get "help" to that region much better than NATO can...There are stories North Korea is willing to play a role in Africa...they may have the soldiers...China is also a major player in Africa...Iran is not that far away...

So NATO escalation in Africa may do even more damage to NATO ! Countries like Egypt, Saudi Arabia will be "unhappy"...Nigeria may not be willing to see itself sinking into an even larger conflict...

The US may try to go for "protecting itself" in Syria and Iraq...trying to keep some logistics going...Getting "moderate terrorists" to do the fighting...US/NATO may also be unable to deal with major escalations here...

-----------

The US "politics" legal fights between trump and biden may push the rest of the world away from the US....US politics is an insult to US citizens...DJ-It would be welcome if US citizens could "restart democracy"...outdo the "old politics" ...both democrats and republicans may have lost contact with most of those they claim to represent...

Climate problems/disasters, economy, CoViD will need attention and investments...NATO is wasting trillions in endless wars...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rujEfSfVX9w or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rujEfSfVX9w Lena Petrova /LP on global south could see its debts-inUS$-problem decrease with a weaker US$...

DJ-Lots of countries  kept poor by international trade "rules" have lots of debts in US$ to the IMF, World Bank etc...most of them under NATO control...BRICS major players; Russia, China already made the point that countries still can get credit from the BRICS bank(s) even if they would NOT repay debts to the western ruled institutions keeping them poor...

See also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CFA_franc or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CFA_franc ;Both CFA francs have a fixed exchange rate (peg) to the euro: €1 = F.CFA 655.957 exactly, and member countries deposited half of their foreign exchange reserves with the French Treasury.[3] The currency has been criticized for restricting the sovereignty of the African member states, effectively putting their monetary policy in the hands of the European Central Bank.

LP also mentions India agreeing with the US building a US navy base in India...Most BRICS countries may not be "happy" with such steps...India is showing two faces...

DJ-One of the -many- goals discussed in the BRICS meeting(s) will be China-India relations. India is working on tunnels in the Himalaya mountains to move its army high speed to the China-India border...However such infrastructure also could serve China-India trade...

Both India and Pakistan are member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization SCO-China based...so also India-Pakistan relations need improvements...India historically did see a lot of trade with Africa...China and Russia are also active in Africa...South Africa is the "S" in BRICS...There has to be a balance between African and non-African "ideas" and ownership...

Africa deserves a much better price for its natural resources now -de facto- being stolen by the NATO-west...

-DJ, BRICS is growing high speed-even if it would NOT allow new members or only a very limited number to put BRICS stability as a #1 priority...BRICS alternative payment system WILL end the US dominance...As LP notices China and India (2,8 billion out of the 8 billion global population) are the main energy importers...For that matter China and India share an interest in energy...

Both countries also share an interest in increasing the role of currencies under their (and not western) control...Russia, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iran, Nigeria, Malaysia, Indonesia, Venezuela are major energy providers-all with an interest in alternatives for a US$...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFSDHh1Filc&t=560s or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFSDHh1Filc&t=560s Cyrus Janssen/CJ;

The US China War has officially started, and while people are looking at Ukraine and wondering if Taiwan is next, let's bring some truth to the debate. The US China War is one based on technology, and interesting enough whoever wins the battle in artificial intelligence most likely will win the war. Does China or the US have the advantage in AI tech? Let's break it down!

DJ..while the US is investing in high tech weapons China is investing in Artificial Intelligence...The main "battle" may not be in "old style wars" but in high tech production capacity...China has a high-speed rail network no western country comes close to...(One of many things the EU now simply is doing a very BAD !!! job !) The political system in China ensures companies work for the country...NOT the country being ruled by company (share holders) interests...

-----------

US/NATO in many ways still going for a 19th century military colonial agenda with armies trying to take over countries, puppet regimes etc. I am looking for sources Military Summary may have on over 10,000 Polish "volunteers" killed in Ukraine...(or does it also include the wounded ???)...Ukraine may have seen 500,000 fighters killed...

DJ-Of course there are lots of pandemic links to this conflict; from "Big Pharma" needing essentials from BRICS countries to HCW-ers now "imported" from BRICS countries into NATO"land" to keep HCW-ers wages down...Soon a lot of better trained public workers could move away from "NATO-land" to BRICS-"land" for better perspectives...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

Lena Petrova https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wc88oKWjpig or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wc88oKWjpig with a good summary of day 1 of the Johannesburg-Suid Afrika/South Africa BRICS meeting.

Some basic points;

-It will be a LONG TERM process to change global trade

-BRICS GDP-PPP now 31,5% of global GDP, G7 at 30% (with the present BRICS members around 40% of global population..G7 < 10%...)

-Increase trade in own currencies, a BRICS currency a longer term project

Putin invited all representatives of BRICS-based companies in the South Africa summit to the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok next month. Go East, Young (Multipolar) Men.

DJ, another point that was stressed is cooperation NOT confrontation...

Both South Africa and Brazil now have presidents with trade union backgrounds...China communist basics also claims (and may show)  progress for all as the ideal.

In that way it is also an ideological clash with a neo-liberal/conservative NATO ruined "west"...BRICS may be better able to deal with both pandemics and climate collapse because their governments work for all...not just for the rich...

DJ-The "west" is self-destructive in the way the political system is derailed...If next year US presidential election offers a choice between biden or trump you know how broken the west is...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuP3MfOgPzQ or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuP3MfOgPzQ The Duran;

Biden White House to Saudi Arabia, ditch BRICS and get nuclear weapons program

DJ...another show of biden insanity...How much longer the EU, UK and most Americans will buy this stupidity ?  As The Duran pointed out;

-Saudi Arabia just made a peace deal with Iran...

-Saudi Arabia can get nuclear weapon technology from Pakistan

-It is NOT in the Saudi interest to keep sponsering the US$ by selling oil in US$

-A nuclear weaponized Saudi Arabia (DJ Israel has already nuclear weapons-thanks to France !) would start a nuclear arms race in the Middle East. Türkiye, Egypt, Iran also may get nuclear weapons...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bs8-2xAZto0 or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bs8-2xAZto0 Military Summary; Ukraine/Kiev is working on a cemetery of 160 hectares with 400,000 graves ....

Still the US/NATO is pushing for more killings...Ukraine daily losses is in the hundreds of fighters getting killed...for what ? To "weaken Russia" ? Even that is NOT working-Russia is getting stronger !

https://ejmagnier.com/2023/08/14/africas-changing-landscape-sino-western-competition-and-contrasting-models/ or https://ejmagnier.com/2023/08/14/africas-changing-landscape-sino-western-competition-and-contrasting-models/ ;

Critics, meanwhile, raise concerns about China’s growing influence in Africa, often depicting it as a debt-laden conquest. However, data from the World Bank shows that 49 African countries owe 39% of their debt to multilateral institutions, 35% to private creditors (excluding Chinese private creditors), and 12% of the continent’s debt burden is owed to China and Chinese lenders. In 2021, private lenders will charge 5% interest, while China and multilateral lenders will charge 2.7% and 1.3%, respectively.

DJ, BRICS-bank etc. may offer better conditions to countries kept poor by NATO. The level of stealing by the west is that bad it would be hard for Russia or China to do even worse...Still a risk could be that in the NATO-BRICS conflict there could be wars killing most of the population of countries kept poor...

The way the "west" is dealing with refugees -killing thousends of them in the sea or deserts-may give an indicition on how far that west could go...

DJ-NATO has nazi links/roots...I am afraid NATO could go for genocide on a level not seen in history to get its way...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

DJ, Two main items;

Prigozhin/Wagner https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxKDeANGcao or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxKDeANGcao Scott Ritter thinks the Russian air defense could have shot the wagner plane down. Prigozhin -after his mutiny- no longer was welcome in Russia. Prigozhin ignored that...(DJ) may have returned from Mali to see the Wagner African command -still able to do their job...Prigozhin may have landed in Moscow then took a Wagner-plane to fly to Wagner HQ in St. Petersburg and that plane very likely (losing a wing) crashed due to outside course...

It could be metal fatigue...still some technical issue...The death of Prigozhin NOW I see as suspect...

In recent drone strikes inside Russia very likely a NATO/Ukraine special forces group may be active inside Russia. A.o. destroying a Tupolev 22 strategic bomber https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tupolev_Tu-22M or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tupolev_Tu-22M ;

On 20 August 2023, the Russian government confirmed a drone attack on an airbase in Novgorod and BBC News subsequently published verified images of a Tu-22M3 engulfed in flames at Soltsy air base, Russia, which had been attacked by drones on the day before.[59][60][61][62][63]

DJ, Could the same group of special forces have shot down the Prigozhin plane ?

-The timing-a very major BRICS meeting in Johannesburg Suid Afrika/South Africa again- my opinion- makes it very suspect...

At the BRICS meeting;

BRICS+ UNCONFIRMED Sherpa noise - for the moment. We may be on the eve of BRICS 10 Iran Saudi Arabia UAE Egypt Argentina Ramifications will be HUGE - in terms of adding 3 Top Energy Producers. So it's 3 West Asia; 1 northeast Africa; 1 Latin America. Russia-China got what they wanted. Brazil voted hyper-strategically. All the way to "Global Globe" (copyright Old Man Luka).

Today https://tass.com/world/1664457 or https://tass.com/world/1664457 ;

JOHANNESBURG /South Africa/, August 24. /TASS/. South African President Cyril Ramaphosa will announce the names of countries that will be invited to join the BRICS group of nations as full-fledged members after BRICS leaders complete their discussion on the issue on Thursday morning

DJ What also is very important is possible cooperation/mix of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Eur_Asian Economic Union, maybe ECOWAS or OPEC+ with BRICS...Countries like Nigeria, Indonesia, Malaysia, Angola, Venezuela may not want to join BRICS now...but accept payments for energy outside the US$.

ECOWAS may try to seek Chinese diplomacy as a way to solve the Niger-crisis...SCO/EAEU may seek financial/economic cooperation with alternatives for SWIFT for international trade.

----------

Why Joe Biden & son, Blinken, & Sullivan may resort to "mini-nukes", rather than concede Ukraine defeat & NATO "power failure". Short answer: only 14 months before election AND they have personal stake. If they lose, there is enough evidence for jail time.

DJ, NATO is losing the Ukraine-NATO made- war...I think biden his "insanity/tendency for confrontation" (also showing in a show-trial against trump) may end NATO...

Bad presidents divide the US...at the end may end the US...

Both NATO and EU are also "very divided"...DJ-I think some form of a "basic EU" may survive...going its own way...NATO can not survive losing the Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, Syria and now Ukraine war....Since 2001 14 trillion US$ went into the military...It put us just a few seconds from midnight https://thebulletin.org/doomsday-clock/current-time/ or https://thebulletin.org/doomsday-clock/current-time/ (january 2023 it was put at a very optimistic 90 seconds...Still the worst position https://thebulletin.org/doomsday-clock/timeline/ or https://thebulletin.org/doomsday-clock/timeline/ ).

A few people in the west did get very rich by promoting war all over the planet killing millions....Worsening problems....

The western neo-liberal/conservative way of thinking is killing us all....

DJ, Ethiopia population over 126 million...A low-income but growing economy in between Africa and Asia...with Djibouti having both a US and Chinese military base...

https://news.cgtn.com/news/2023-08-23/Charting-global-development-course-with-BRICS-partnership-cooperation-1mvzYK70ISc/index.html or https://news.cgtn.com/news/2023-08-23/Charting-global-development-course-with-BRICS-partnership-cooperation-1mvzYK70ISc/index.html ;

Data from the International Monetary Fund shows that the total volume of trade in goods of BRICS countries was about $9.2 trillion in 2022, an increase of 7.8 percent over the previous year. Among them, the total volume of trade in goods among the five countries was $1.14 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 13.3 percent.

Amid the current global economic recovery facing challenges, BRICS countries have deepened cooperation, played the role of "stabilizers" and "accelerators" of development and injected BRICS power into the stability of the global market.

"Development is an inalienable right of all countries," Chinese President Xi Jinping said when addressing the 15th BRICS Summit on Wednesday in South Africa's Johannesburg, urging all BRICS countries to be each other's fellow companions on the journey of development and revitalization.

Development an inalienable right of all countries

The world economic recovery remains shaky, with less than three percent of growth for this year, as estimated by some international institutions.

However, BRICS countries have established close cooperation with emerging markets and developing countries through outreach activities and "BRICS Plus" cooperation, promoting the impact of BRICS cooperation beyond the scope of the five countries to the world.

DJ, there are major jobs BRICS+ have to do;

-trying to keep working together, agree on (energy) prices, the currencies being used,

-making choices on investments in a.o. infrastructure, education, healthcare

-agree on criteria for further growth; lots of countries and organizations willing to work with BRICS+

-BRICS+ now becoming a global player in energy, production, pharma, resources

-US/NATO may seek further confrontation/provocation/war...how to deal with that ?

DJ-France may be willing to "reconsider" its position in Africa. It needs uranium for its nuclear industry and has no uranium itself.

Euro-zone/ECB also may "rethink" the role the Euro/€ can/may play. EU countries now have a growing interest in using the Euro/€ for energy deals...even with the US.

Another note has to be Russia, China, Iran mostly have a conflict with the US....UK is becoming less and less relevant...The EU has "many faces" and now has to even more make up its mind on who to work with US or BRICS+....France has an interest in Africa, Spain may feel related to Argentina-language wise...

Since biden confrontationism only weakens/destroys "the NATO-west" even in the US itself "leaders" may start realizing things have to change...

https://www.moonofalabama.org/2023/08/the-sunk-cost-fallacy-and-ukraine.html or https://www.moonofalabama.org/2023/08/the-sunk-cost-fallacy-and-ukraine.html ;

The U.S. military is continuing its criticism of Ukraine's military strategy.

Ukraine’s Forces and Firepower Are Misallocated, U.S. Officials SayNY Times

The main goal of the counteroffensive is to cut off Russian supply lines in southern Ukraine by severing the so-called land bridge between Russia and the occupied Crimean Peninsula. But instead of focusing on that, Ukrainian commanders have divided troops and firepower roughly equally between the east and the south, the U.S. officials said.

As a result, more Ukrainian forces are near Bakhmut and other cities in the east than are near Melitopol and Berdiansk in the south, both far more strategically significant fronts, officials say.

American planners have advised Ukraine to concentrate on the front driving toward Melitopol, Kyiv’s top priority, and on punching through Russian minefields and other defenses, even if the Ukrainians lose more soldiers and equipment in the process.

The criticism is correct. The attempt to regain Bakhmut (Artyomovsk) is wrong. But the conclusion from it, to push more forces towards the south, is - in my view - false.

The Deployment Map shows that there are significantly more Ukrainian units in the east than in the south.

-

But the U.S. will not allow for that. The Biden administration has fallen for its own sunk cost fallacy. It has invested so much into its proxy war against Russia, in money, material and psychologically, that it will continue to invest more even when that is unlikely to lead to a better outcome.

Peace negotiations are inevitable. Delaying them increases the cost of the inevitable defeat.

DJ...will the US push for nuclear war ? Driven by insanity ?

DJ, Here in NL the main news ignored the BRICS meeting/expansion....

Good short video from Lena Petrova https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKxXigac7qI or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKxXigac7qI BRICS+ will be 48% of global population, 38% of the GDP (DJ-by PPP ???) and 80% of the oil...

Investments in BRICS countries will have the goal to use basic materials for the production of goods...NOT to export those basics any longer..The basic goal is to end poverty...

Lula da Silva/Brazil also questioned why the world is spending 2 trillion US$ on weapons while 10% of the global population is starving....Brazil, South Africa, China want to see their peace initiatives taken serious...DJ-Will China be able to end the Ukraine war ? Like China diplomacy (and timing) did result in Iran-Saudi cooperation ?

Lena Petrova has a point when she states BRICS+ is still in its early phase...One currency may be a future plan...for now trade will be done most in currencies of countries trading with each other.

DJ, Statistics on economy/GDP may be somewhat misleading. What matters is what a country can do. Can it produce goods or be a "big mining company" ? Lula da Silva also mentioned the position of women. The five BRICS countries are now all lead by males...BRICS-bank is under a woman https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dilma_Rousseff#Post-presidency or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dilma_Rousseff#Post-presidency

Investing in education of women result in less births...very welcome!

For that matter the 1-child policy China had can be seen as a reason for why China now is in a leading global position. The birth-rate in Africa, Latin America, Asia has to decrease...Overpopulation is one of the self-destructive elements humans have. A major part of climate collapse.

DJ-Another problem the world needs solving is "religion" -or the way some use it. Religion can not be an excuse for repression, exploitation, misinformation...

My view is try to look at a lot of things from different views...often their are many sides to things...If dogmatism gets in the way you end up stuck with limited understanding-no solutions...

DJ-"Smart phone addiction" ends up in stupid people..."social media" turn out to be very anti-social...often worsening problems NOT solving them...We have to learn how to use modern technology for us...NOT for advertising...

---------------

The west is still in denial on the role BRICS will play....In october 2024 in Kazan Russia the first meeting of the BRICS-11 is planned...

I expect a lot of countries -not yet BRICS member- will start working with BRICS, using not the US$.

US/NATO will push for more military coups, civil wars, chaos to "stop BRICS"....and maybe they will have some success...for the time being. My view is Russia-Iran-China go already further-forming a defensive block against US agression.

It is the west that is facing ever more problems...soon may not have the financial (fiat-currencies) power to "control global events".

BRICS+ may agree that Taiwan is part of China...Maybe even push for Korean unification...Western divide & rule colonialism and exploitation did kill -very likely-over 1 billion people in the last 500 years...Including most (90-95%) of the "Indians" Native Americans...

We need to rethink the position of "native people"...from Hawaii to Hokkaido...

The EU has to develop to "uniting people"...with room for the "regions" (Catalunya, South Tirol, Scotland, Basque country etc.)

I hope we have entered a new chapter in the book of human history...

--------

If the neo-conservative/liberal goal was restoring western domination over the globe this BRICS meeting only underlines the total failure of western lack of thinking...Russia, Iran are NOT isolated...US-petro-$ is over, G7 a "joke"...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

Saudi Arabia is evaluating a bid from China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) to build a nuclear power plant in an Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, close to the border with Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Saudi officials told the Journal.

Those officials also admitted to the WSJ that the idea to consider the Chinese bid was an attempt to gain leverage in talks with the U.S. about its help for Saudi Arabia’s civil nuclear program, and potentially extract some compromise on the non-proliferation issues.

DJ, A "very American point of view" ! Why should KSA/Kingdom of Saudi Arabia do ANY bussiness with the US ? Will the US accept payment in Saudi currency ? My-DJ-view; Saudi Arabia-as part of BRICS+-will do deals with BRICS+ members and "regional partners"... Russia is building nuclear powerplants in Türkiye, Egypt...US tech may be not only very expensive but could also bring to much blackmail/complications...

RABAT, August 25. /TASS/. General Abdourahamane Tchiani, the head of the Niger’s National Council for the Safeguard of the Homeland, signed an order authorizing defense and security forces of Burkina Faso and Mali to enter the territory of Niger in case of an attack against it, the Agence Nigerienne de Presse (ANP) reported.

On August 24, head of the caretaker government Ali Lamine Zeine met with ministerial delegations from Mali and Burkina Faso, the news agency reported.

The delegations confirmed their desire to fight terrorism and extremism together with Niger, ANP said. Representatives of the three countries stressed "the need of strengthening cooperation mechanisms, intelligence data sharing and joint operations for purposes of increasing efficiency to counter the activity of terrorist groups," the news agency said.

DJ, "Wagner PMC" is already in Mali...Niger has told the French ambossador to leave the country...may tell other western representatives also to leave...US and French military inside Niger may refuse to leave...No doubt NATO will send extra jihadi's to fight with from a.o. Syria...to provide an excuse to stay in the region.

Niger’s military rulers have ordered the French, German, Nigerian and US ambassadors to leave the country within 48 hours, amid deteriorating relations between Niamey and former colonialists.

The military-appointed foreign ministry said its decision came in response to the refusal of the envoys to respond to its invitation for a meeting and other actions of their respective governments “contrary to the interests of Niger”.

France immediately rejected the ultimatum, stating that it did not recognize the military rulers’ authority.

China is the largest developing country in the world, and Africa is the continent with the largest number of developing countries. In particular, over the last decade, guided by the principles of sincerity, real results, amity and good faith, and of pursuing the greater good and shared interests in developing China's relations with Africa put forth by Chinese President Xi Jinping, China-Africa cooperation has also been deepened and substantiated. Ties have entered a fast track toward a new era of a stronger China-Africa community with a shared future.

Speaking to the African leaders, President Xi on Thursday said advancing modernization through integration is an independent choice made by the African countries and people. He mentioned that China has been a steadfast supporter, walking side by side with Africa on the path to modernization.

Xi made the remarks during a keynote speech while co-chairing the China-Africa Leaders' Dialogue with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa in Johannesburg.

"Drawing strength from the spirit of China-Africa friendship and cooperation, we have pressed ahead on the path of solidarity and cooperation," Xi noted.

DJ-all three above articles have "China links". China may do the "make trade not war" part of the BRICS-deal...Russia could do the "make war not trade" part if need be...

I used to follow South Front but it seems to be censored..."false information" in the eyes of an anti-democratic elite I guess...

Because one part of "change" will be in global relations. Another part could be an increase of repression in western/NATO countries..."still fighting for democrazy"...

DJ-I am NOT a trump-supporter but I do think some of the "legal actions" against trump are in fact anti-democratic. Censorship-for many reasons (advertising value a major one...) may be a "new normal" in "the western democrazy"...

I have been against NATO for very likely over 50 years...most of that time there was a political party-on the left- I could vote for sharing that view...It seems that by now being against NATO makes you a "putin-lover"....I do see Putin as a "democraticly elected dictator of Russia" ...standing for fossil fuel and orthodox christianity...If Putin was an American he may have been a republican...

So...NO...I am NOT a fan of Putin...(I am also not a fan of religion...but I believe in freedom-we know so little...)...

This once-a-forum still is available...It may end because the owner may no longer pay for it...Or because the content may not be what a "democratic supervisor" thinks is real...

For me-I try to "form an opinion" - hope to write not to much non-sense...I know a little of history, train my English...

https://new.thecradle.co/articles/welcome-to-the-brics-11 or https://new.thecradle.co/articles/welcome-to-the-brics-11 ;

n the end, History was made. Surpassing even the greatest of expectations, the BRICS nations performed a giant step for multipolarity by expanding the group to BRICS 11.

Starting on January 1, 2024, the five original BRICS members will be joined by Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

No, they won’t turn into an unpronounceable BRIICSSEEUA. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov confirmed the song remains the same, with the familiar BRICS acronym to the Global South or Global Majority or “Global Globe” multilateral organization that will shape the contours of a new system of international relations.

-New BRICS+ GDP-PPP 59,8, debt 8,9 trillion US$

-G& GDP-PPP 48,5, debt 55,5

Even more than a geopolitical and geoeconomic breakthrough, BRICS 11 really breaks the bank on the energy front. By signing up Tehran, Riyadh and Abu Dhabi, BRICS 11 instantly becomes an oil and gas powerhouse, controlling 39 percent of global oil exports, 45.9 percent of proven reserves and 47.6 percent of all oil produced globally, according to InfoTEK.

A direct BRICS 11-OPEC+ symbiosis is inevitable (under Russia-Saudi Arabia leadership), not to mention OPEC itself.

Translation: The collective west may soon lose its power to control global oil prices, and subsequently, the means to enforce its unilateral sanctions.

A Saudi Arabia directly aligned with Russia-China-India-Iran offers a stunning counterpoint to the US-engineered oil crisis in the early 1970s, when Riyadh started wallowing in petrodollars. That represents the next stage of the Russian-initiated and Chinese-finalized rapprochement between Riyadh and Tehran, recently sealed in Beijing.

DJ, Now NATO has to get more money/credit from China to bomb Russia, Iran, Ethiopia, Brazil, South Africa, Argentina...and NATO still wants more war in Syria, Korea, Iraq, Libya...

No doubt the poor countries love to stay poor and enslaved by "western civilization, democrazy anfd human-rights hypocrasy..."

The G7, for all practical purposes, has now entered an Intensive Care Unit. The G20 may be next. The new “Global Globe” G20 may be the BRICS 11 – and later on the BRICS 20 or even BRICS 40. By then, the petrodollar will also be on life support in the ICU.

The BRICS 11 climax could not have been accomplished without a stellar performance by the Men of the Match: Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, supported by their respective teams. The Russia-China strategic partnership dominated in Johannesburg and set the major guidelines. We need to be bold and expand; we need to press for reform of the current institutional framework – from the UN Security Council to the IMF and the WTO; and we need to get rid of those institutions that are subjugated by the artificial “rules-based international order.”

No wonder Xi defined the moment, on the record, as “historic.” Putin went so far as to publicly call on all BRICS 11 to abandon the US dollar and expand trade settlements in national currencies - stressing that BRICS “oppose hegemonies of any kind” and “the exceptional status that some countries aspire to,” not to mention “a policy of continued neo-colonialism.”

Lets give credits to the man pushing for BRICS++++ joe biden...

US/NATO foreign policy has gone towards total insanity...It may have started with trump blowing up the Iran-deal...biden did blow up the Russian-German pipeline...

DJ-The only reaction the west is able to come up with is war...confrontation...

I find it hard to believe this will end without a nuclear war...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

DJ, A "western view" from South Africa on BRICS; https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/expanded-brics-set-de-dollarize-world-control-global-energy-supply or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/expanded-brics-set-de-dollarize-world-control-global-energy-supply ;

In January, BRICS—originally established in 2009 to represent the world’s strongest emerging market economies—will add Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to its ranks.

Mr. Gumede, one of South Africa’s leading academics and thought-leaders, has been researching the potential impacts of de-dollarization since 2014.

He told The Epoch Times the average per capita GDP of the G7 economies was currently six times that of BRICS economies. But, the unexpectedly swift expansion of BRICS would increase the trade bloc’s share of the global economy much faster than earlier predictions.

These forecasts did not take into account that BRICS would expand its membership very quickly. A larger BRICS will mean the world will increasingly use U.S. dollars less,” he said.

Mr. Gumede said the bigger BRICS alliance would eventually rival the Group of Seven (G7) large industrial economies of the United States, European Union, United Kingdom, France, Japan, Italy, and Canada, which together are home to 16 percent of the world’s population and account for 62 percent of the global economy.

Welcoming the new members in Johannesburg last week, Brazil’s President Lula da Silva said their addition would mean BRICS would represent 46 percent of the global population and 37 percent of the world GDP.

The expansion means BRICS now consists of some of the globe’s largest oil producers: Russia, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Egypt. Nigeria, another major oil exporter, is set to join when the bloc gets even bigger, probably at its next summit in Russia in 2024.

DJ...One of "western responses" is "western GDP" is much larger than that of BRICS+...however when one looks what that money can buy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purchasing_power_parity or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purchasing_power_parity ;

Purchasing power parity (PPP)[1] is a measure of the price of specific goods in different countries and is used to compare the absolute purchasing power of the countries' currencies. PPP is effectively the ratio of the price of a basket of goods at one location divided by the price of the basket of goods at a different location. The PPP inflation and exchange rate may differ from the market exchange rate because of tariffs, and other transaction costs.[2]

The purchasing power parity indicator can be used to compare economies regarding their gross domestic product (GDP), labour productivity and actual individual consumption, and in some cases to analyse price convergence and to compare the cost of living between places.[3] The calculation of the PPP, according to the OECD, is made through a basket of goods that contains a "final product list [that] covers around 3,000 consumer goods and services, 30 occupations in government, 200 types of equipment goods and about 15 construction projects".[4] [5]

the picture changes....https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(PPP)#Table or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(PPP)#Table

DJ-Another western (propaganda) point is "BRICS would need some sort of one currency"....The IMF has "special drawing rights" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_drawing_rights or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_drawing_rights ...You do not need one currency for BRICS+ trade...

DJ-I think the EU may have an interest in trying to make the Euro/€ a currency that can play a role...A "risk" for the EU may be the European Central Bank no longer having enough control over the Euro/€ if BRICS+ countries would use that currency (for limited goals in international trade...one of several currencies.).

---------

De-dollar-ization could be seen as a strategic goal to disarm the US in a financial way. That goal-in part- will be reached by now...

https://sputnikglobe.com/20230831/pepe-escobar-does-brics-need-its-own-currency-1113013286.html or https://sputnikglobe.com/20230831/pepe-escobar-does-brics-need-its-own-currency-1113013286.html ;

Michael Kumhof, a senior advisor for the Bank of England, adds a few more elements: “A currency does not need to be issued by a single state, instead its issuance can be delegated by a group of states to a common institution, see the ECB [European Central Bank]. And while that currency would be unlikely to be used by people to buy a coffee (although who knows, given enough time), it could be used by corporations for invoicing in cross-border trade.”

DJ, you may have different ways of payment for different kinds of trade...

Western "media/politics" like to ignore the west is still buying Russian uranium, LNG etc...even gas-via a pipeline crossing Ukraine...

On the same day Russia increased its autonomy with the first flight of the new SJ-100 SuperJet which is based on the replacement of systems that previously came from foreign suppliers but are now produced domestically:

United Aircraft Corporation CEO Yury Slyusar also highlighted the broader implications of the project, declaring it a "testament to Russia's technological self-sufficiency." Slyusar added, "Our primary aim now is to obtain full Russian certification for the plane and initiate regular shipments to airlines."

The launch of the plane and of Huawei's new phone came on the same day U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo ended her visit to China. It was certainly meant as a point.

Today's Global Times Editorial is rubbing it in:

Chinese companies will inevitably break through the blockade and move forward. This is the result of China's overall development and close integration with global interests. In this era of globalization, the idea of kicking Chinese companies out of the industrial chain will only encounter increasing resistance because it goes against the law of development. The resurgence of Huawei smartphones after three years of forced silence is enough to prove that the US' extreme suppression has failed. This also serves as a microcosm of the US-China tech war, reflecting the entire process and foreshadowing the final outcome. Recently, some American media outlets have been enthusiastic about hyping up things like Huawei is building a "secret" chip factory. Ultimately, these are all due to a failure to see or a refusal to believe in the general trend, and they hold on to outdated thinking that Chinese companies' technology is all "stolen." Essentially, it is Washington's technological arrogance, and the US will definitely pay the price for this arrogance.

As China is training more engineers and researchers than the U.S. and Europe combined, it will eventually take the technological lead in many fields. Other countries will have to either become more specialized or close their markets to imports from China.

Under US pressure western companies stopped selling some high tech to their main customer China...

Chinese live-streamer dissembled Huawei Mate60 Pro live, verified that it's 5G phone and its Kirin 9000s chipset is Made in China. 100% Chinese made components! US sanction failed to kill Huawei!

DJ.....

The "west" is losing its self made war with Russia, Iran etc. in a military way...That west also is losing the conflict it created with BRICS+ in an economic way...

THIS ALL COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED !!!! Biden could have restarted the Obama made Iran-deal....he did not...The (2008)  idea of including Ukraine, Georgia into NATO (warned against a.o. by https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_J._Burns_(diplomat) or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_J._Burns_(diplomat) was NOT urgent....

Confrontation politics pushed Russia-Iran-China to one military bloc...worse than the Warsaw-pact (China never was part of that pact created in reaction to NATO. Iran at the time was ruled by a pro-western dictator/shah). It is utter stupidity for wich I blame biden most...

DJ, The Duran https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nd5Vn9W0mKk or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nd5Vn9W0mKk on the Erdogan/Putin (Türkiye-Russia) meeting.

-Russia may start a Russian-Turkish grain deal...to lower Turkish food prices

-Ukraine/NATO could attack Turkish pipelines in the Black Sea (and with that Türkiye)

-Türkiye may join BRICS+

DJ-Nigeria is one other very likely upcoming member of BRICS+ and also a major energy producer. I would not be surprised to see Venezuela, Mexico move the same direction...

With that it is getting more and more clear BRICS+ will use energy as a weapon against NATO neo-colonial aggression. We still do not see ECOWAS doing the dirty work for France/EU/NATO  in Niger...Very likely Nigeria does NOT want to close the door to BRICS by "restoring democrazy" in Niger so France can keep stealing uranium and gold...By now "Africa" is starting to realize the way out of poverty and exploitation may be in working with BRICS+

NATO is getting weaker by the day...UK tanks are blown up in Ukraine...not doing better than other "high tech superior western weapons"...It should not be a surprise. In Syria, Saudi Arabia Leopard-2 tanks, patriot air defense did fail...even against less well organized enemies (Kurds, Yemen fighters/drones)...

Even with climate collapse-a crazy winter-BRICS+ will time its energy/currency weapon and wait to see energy demand going up...However DJ-I expect NATO soon may be in a very major economic crisis...leading to a political crisis...

Exploitation and destruction of the public sector/infrastructure may see neo-liberal conservatives did destroy NATO economies themselves...Maybe BRICS only has to give the extra push...

DJ, Maybe start with a description of "western free media"...."journalists" going for propaganda NOT facts;

https://arctic-news.blogspot.com/2023/09/too-late-the-climate-and-nuclear-juggernaut.html or https://arctic-news.blogspot.com/2023/09/too-late-the-climate-and-nuclear-juggernaut.html ;

Under the guise of lies and cover-ups, the global powers to be have set the stage for the unthinkable, a world-wide hair-trigger human suicide system taking much of nature with it. With the exception of abstract ideas or experimental attempts, no actual steps are being taken to slow down, or even reverse, the inexorable rise of atmospheric greenhouse gases, now rising into Miocene-like levels of >400 parts per million CO₂ within the century, the fastest rise rate identified in the geological record.

Nor are steps undertaken to try and dismantle the global doomsday fleet of more than 12,700 nuclear warheads, where space and the oceans have become nuclear playgrounds, enough to render large parts of the Earth uninhabitable.

-

But perhaps the most lethal human branch has become the media, which with few exceptions turned into a global propaganda machine skilful in distorting facts, promoting conflicts, manufacturing untruths, concealing avenues to peace and promoting wars in the tradition of Goebbels.

DJ, western main stream tax /advertising funded media-working with "press agencies" owned by a war industry are creating the public support for global destruction.

BANKING CRISIS 2.0: Liquidity Issues Plague U.S. Banks

DJ, Western economies are based on debts...It would be optimistic to think the problem started in 2008 with the banking crisis then...More realistic is the claim a major problem started in 1990...When the Soviet Union ended "western blind capitalism" exploded...Privatize everything ..."investments on debt basis"...Now interest rates go up...to deal with inflation caused by western sanctions creating an energy crisis...

That west is still buying Russian energy-there are simply not enough alternatives for oil, gas, uranium...The outcome of western sanctions is production cuts by an OPEC+ moving towards BRICS+ and energy prices no longer linked to the US$....

The Fall | False Flag In Kostiantynivka. Robotyne Meat Grinder. Military Summary For 2023.09.06

DJ...MS claiming the western propaganda videos indicate;

-The Kostiantynivka missile came from the WEST !!!! So NOT from the east/Russian lines...

-A reflection on the roof of a car shows the missile just before exploding...a UK storm shadow missile...

-a.blinken (US) visiting his puppets in Kiev - arriving at around the moment of this "Russian war crime"....

Another western nazi-style propaganda item is Cuban mercenaries in Ukraine..."Russia running out of soldiers"...another projection with Ukraine mobilizing the last human reserves inside Ukraine and trying to get Ukrainians in NATO countries deported to get killed "fighting Russia"...

The western lies are getting discusting to a level reminding me of W.W.2 nazi lies...

Is NATO sinking to nazi-nato levels ?

-The other side of the same coin; a public NOT interested in reality....going for a phantasy-based world...Believing "we" can go on living the way only a few can live without a price to pay...

The elite way of living -most even in the west can not live that way !- is destroying this planet...but who cares....????

September 11 1973 did see the US bringing yet another fascist into power...in Chile pinochet did kill https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvador_Allende or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvador_Allende ...just one of many leaders -working for the people- killed by a US foreign policy most Americans only can disgust...

In the present NATO-BRICS conflict the US-Russia conflict is part of the bigger fight.

DJ-One ongoing goal of the US (using NATO for that) is denying Russia usage of navy main ports.

-The Russian Black Sea fleet is stationed in Sevastobol-Crimea since 1783...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Sea_Fleet or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Sea_Fleet

-The https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baltic_Fleet or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baltic_Fleet ;

Established 18 May 1703, under Tsar Peter the Great as part of the Imperial Russian Navy, the Baltic Fleet is the oldest Russian fleet.[3]

The Baltic Fleet is headquartered in Kaliningrad[citation needed] and its main base in Baltiysk (Pillau), both in Kaliningrad Oblast, and another base in Kronstadt, Saint Petersburg, in the Gulf of Finland.

Finland joining NATO-breaking the 1944 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moscow_Armistice or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moscow_Armistice and 1948 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finno-Soviet_Treaty_of_1948 or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finno-Soviet_Treaty_of_1948Under the treaty, which was signed on 6 April 1948, the Soviets sought to deter Western or Allied Powers from attacking the Soviet Union through Finnish territory, and the Finns sought to increase Finland's political independence from the Soviet Union. It thus ensured Finland's survival as a liberal democracy in close proximity to strategic Soviet regions, such as the Kola Peninsula and the old capital Leningrad.

DJ-One may claim that since the end of the Soviet Union all agreements made with the USSR ended...however in trade etc. -to western beneft- those agreements did NOT end...

Looking at history Russia did see Finland as part of Russia under the czars...It did end up fighting Sweden...Poland only can exist if Germany is losing a war...otherwise Russia and Germany divide Poland..

-https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murmansk#Transportation or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murmansk#Transportation Murmansk may be seen as the base for the Russian Nordic Fleet...not far away from the border with Norway...

So-in the US-Russia "conflict" and as part of "limiting" BRIICSS+ trade Russian access to -indirect- the Atlantic is moving towards a navy issue...

Russia is moving towards trade with Asia...more via land and pipeline. Also the Caspian Sea is a main link between Russia and India via Iran...The US/UK-"NATO" also trying to "limit" trade her as well...

-------------

The https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_Union or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_Union is now the second trade-union, after the EU, to join the G20.

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/lavrov-gloats-west-failed-ukrainize-g20-global-south-influence-triumphed or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/lavrov-gloats-west-failed-ukrainize-g20-global-south-influence-triumphed DJ-Very likely "US/NATO" also reacted to Egypt and Ethiopia joining BRICS+ within a few months...

Lavrov then pointed to the G20 agreed upon declaration which merely "mentions the Ukraine crisis, but only in the context of the need to resolve all conflicts" - which he said is language in line with the principles of the UN Charter.

He further suggested that the US didn't get its way of turning the Group of 20 into a "politicized club" - but instead the final declaration that was adopted "highlighted the human suffering and negative added impacts of the war in Ukraine with regard to global food and energy security, supply chains, macro-financial stability, inflation and growth."

The top Russian diplomat explained that this agenda was thwarted largely through the collective efforts of developing nations and the interests of the global south, led especially by India, the host country. Per Reuters:

The Global South's position in the talks helped prevent the G20 agenda from being overshadowed by Ukraine, he told a press conference. "India has truly consolidated G20 members from the Global South."

DJ, the G7 may remain a "western front"...the G20 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G20#Members or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G20#Members includes all 5 BRICS members and a lot of expected new members...Argentina, Saudi Arabia will become BRICS+ member in 2024...Countries like Indonesia, Mexico, Turkïye could be on a BRICS waitinglist...

https://www.moonofalabama.org/2023/09/zelensky-threatens-to-terrorize-europe.html or https://www.moonofalabama.org/2023/09/zelensky-threatens-to-terrorize-europe.html ;

Zelenski goes on to threaten, in rather unthankful fashion, those countries which have delivered aid to Ukraine but may want to cut their losses:

Curtailing aid to Ukraine will only prolong the war, Mr Zelensky argues. And it would create risks for the West in its own backyard. There is no way of predicting how the millions of Ukrainian refugees in European countries would react to their country being abandoned. Ukrainians have generally “behaved well” and are “very grateful” to those who sheltered them. They will not forget that generosity. But it would not be a “good story” for Europe if it were to “drive these people into a corner”.

I have seen such threats from low ranking individuals of the fascist Bandera fringe. They spoke of terrorism they would unleash in the West should it end its support for Ukraine. That the Ukrainian president now reinforces such threats shows how deeply he immersed himself in that mindset.

A previous Economist story shows that Ukraine has already set up the necessary infrastructure to wage a terrorist campaign:

In modern Ukraine, assassinations date back to at least 2015, when its domestic security service (SBU) created a new body after Russia had seized Crimea and the eastern Donbas region. The elite fifth counter-intelligence directorate started life as a saboteur force in response to the invasion. It later came to focus on what is euphemistically called “wet work”.

Valentin Nalivaychenko, who headed the SBU at the time, says the switch came about when Ukraine’s then leaders decided that a policy of imprisoning collaborators was not enough. Prisons were overflowing, but few were deterred. “We reluctantly came to the conclusion that we needed to eliminate terrorists,” he says. A former officer of the directorate describes it in similar terms. “We needed to bring war to them.” In 2015 and 2016 the directorate was linked to the assassinations of key Russian-backed commanders in the Donbas; Mikhail Tolstykh, aka “Givi”, killed in a rocket attack; Arsen Pavlov, aka “Motorola”, blown up in a lift; Alexander Zakharchenko, blown up in a restaurant (pictured).

Intelligence insiders say the SBU’s fifth directorate is playing a central role in counter-Russia operations.

From there it is just a short step towards total war:

Meanwhile, a long war of attrition would mean a fork in the road for Ukraine. The country would lose even more people, both on the front lines and to emigration. It would require a “totally militarised economy”. The government would have to put that prospect to its citizens, Mr Zelensky says, without specifying how; a new social contract could not be the decision of one person. Almost 19 months into the war, the president says he is “morally” ready for the switch. But he will only broach the idea with his people if the weakness in the eyes of his Western backers becomes a “trend”. Has that moment come? No, not yet, he says. “Thank God.”

Does Zelenski know of any country with a totally militarized economy that survived? I have yet to hear of one.

Anyway. To end the war is not in his hands. But can the West end the war?

Yves Smith takes a look:

Has the West Closed All Its Project Ukraine Exits?

She concludes that an end to the war is unlikely until bigger things change:

In other words, the way to an end game is regime change. And the weak regimes are all in the West.

 U.S. DOLLAR AT RISK: Japan, China and Saudi Arabia Are ACCELERATING Sell Off Of U.S. Treasuries

DJ, Japan, China, Saudi Arabia now have US papers with low interest. The US is increasing its interest on new bonds etc. so it will be interesting for investors to go for papers with higher yields. BRICS+ trade may be of more interest -even for Japan (energy) than investing in US government (endless) debts...

So the US itself may be creating more US$ to buy paper/bonds from China etc...increasing even further the US debts...

Dutch industrial firms and manufacturers sold 7.5% fewer goods in the second quarter of this year when compared with the same period in 2022. The key industrial figure had risen quarter on quarter for the past two years.

Domestic sales fell 3.2% but sales abroad were down over 10%, the CBS said.

The figures are strongly skewed by the impact of refineries and chemical companies, where sales were down 28%. Heavy engineering sales fell 9% and the paper and graphic industry also took a major hit, with sales down almost 12%.

DJ, NL may be the main EU hub for US LNG...

DJ, Western "media/propaganda" claiming Kim Jong Un visiting Russia shows Russia is running out of ammonution and "Putin has to show he is not isolated"....

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warsaw_Pact or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warsaw_Pact in reaction to NATO the Warsaw pact was formed...That organization more or less ended with the end of the Soviet Union....Very likely Gorbatjow a.o. believed NATO would end or redefine its role...But NATO kept fighting Russia in Yugoslavia, Iraq, Syria. Libya...after 1991...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChiiQHqBI2g or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChiiQHqBI2g The Duran/TD;

Putin meets Kim Jong Un. US warns more sanctions.

TD has a point in Russia revisiting old friends like North Korea and Cuba...with communication on that with China.

Also however both Russia and China for years try to get reunification talks going for Korea...South Korea is not blind for the Asian market...with over 4 billion consumers...Even Japan is rebalancing.  (DJ-Reunification of Korea may be an example of China-Taiwan talks...)

--------

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collective_Security_Treaty_Organization or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collective_Security_Treaty_Organization ;

The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO)[note 2] is an intergovernmental military alliance in Eurasia consisting of six post-Soviet statesArmeniaBelarusKazakhstanKyrgyzstanRussia, and Tajikistan, formed in 2002. The Collective Security Treaty has its origins in the Soviet Armed Forces, which was replaced in 1992 by the United Armed Forces of the Commonwealth of Independent States, and was then itself replaced by the successor armed forces of the respective independent states.

DJ, Since NATO did NOT stop anti Russia activities (The Yugoslavia war partly was to stop a Serbia-Belarus-Russia cooperation idea) the CSTO was formed. The US now going for military drills in Armenia is not a coincidence...

BRIICSS+ will see "trade in military goods" including "advisors/instructors" -and a lot of them may come from Russia, China, Iran...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_North_Korea or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_North_Korea DJ-The importance of North Korea in part will be in its position between Russia/China and South Korea/Japan (etc). As TD mentions-Russian energy links do not have to stop in North Korea...

Russia is also making clear it is losing intertest in doing bussiness with the US-UK-EU...Why make deals if that west only breaks those deals...has NO respect...Asia and Africa, Latin America on the long run are much more interesting for the Russia-China cooperation project...India also know they can benefit from such moves...

A united Korea may be 78 million consumers (NK=26, SK=52 million) and if that peacefull reunification would be the outcome of BRIICSS+ diplomacy it may be an even bigger success than the German 1990 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_reunification or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_reunification one...

-----------

Somehow "the west" is obsessed with the wars they have started/organized...In the Libya flood disaster https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storm_Daniel#Libya or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storm_Daniel#Libya wich may have killed over 20,000 people "western media" talks of "unrest for 12 years"...Trying to hide it was NATO killing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muammar_Gaddafi or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muammar_Gaddafi ...

"The world is watching"...and is seeing a western neo-colonial racist NATO trying to enforce "global trade" wich de facto is stealing oil, uranium, gold from countries the west is keeping poor...The "African revolution" may just have started...lots of countries will follow !

Of course you can not fight pandemics when you are agressively kept poor...Lots of diseases are widespread in the "global South"....with potentially global health risks...The only "value" the west is showing is keeping the 0,1% rich....

This -at the end-will affect also western countries dealing with an unfair exploitation system...

Russia; https://tass.com/politics/1675603 or https://tass.com/politics/1675603 ;

MOSCOW, September 15. /TASS/. Russia and North Korea did not sign any bilateral agreements, including on military-technical cooperation, following the recent talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday.

"No agreements were signed on this issue or on other issues and there were no such plans," Peskov told journalists in response to a question about whether any agreements on military-technical cooperation were signed after the Putin-Kim meeting.

However...https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/flash-north-korea-to-send-300-000-500-000-troops-to-assist-russia or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/flash-north-korea-to-send-300-000-500-000-troops-to-assist-russia ;

This is FLASH Traffic.  North Korea has agreed to send three-hundred-thousand (300,000) to five-hundred thousand (500,000) troops to Russia to assist with its Special Military Operation in Ukraine, against NATO.

The first deployment will be about 20,000 soldiers to assist with Logistics.

-

North Korea will also deliver to Russia, the new KN-09 Multiple Launch Rocket System.

The absolute latest North Korean version of the KN-09, with two pods of SIX rockets each.

Intelligence assessment of these new rocket launchers is as follows:

Judging by the published photos, the military received MLRS, known under the Western designation KN-09 or KN-SS-X-9. Its caliber is 300 mm.

The first version, which has eight missile tubes, was shown in 2015 at the parade in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

It is believed that missiles with a warhead weighing up to 190 kg are capable of hitting targets at a distance of at least 220 km.

Guidance is inertial, in preparation for use, the calculation uses data from navigation satellites, which provides a fairly accurate hit.

In 2020, an upgraded version was introduced, in which the three-axle all-terrain vehicle was replaced with a four-axle platform with twelve tubes, which is the version shown in the image above.

DJ...I would not be surprised if Russian allies start further increasing support. The NATO-BRIICSS+ war may see an international BRIICSS+ force in several countries...

For decades, Russia's only Mediterranean deep water port has remained Tartus on the Syrian coast, going back to Soviet times.

But that may change as Moscow is reportedly eyeing expanding to establishing a second military port in the Mediterranean, off LibyaThe Wall Street Journal in a Friday report calls Libya the "North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s backyard" — in a quote which Moscow officials would take serious exception to.

The North African Arabic speaking country has for years been in a state of chaos as multiple governments have vied for control in the wake of the 2011 US-NATO military intervention and overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi.

-

While Russia was seen as generally opposing the NATO war against Gaddafi, under then President Dmitry Medvedev, Moscow did not veto UN resolution 1973 which approved a 'No Fly Zone' over Libya, but only abstained - allowing the UNSC to greenlight NATO's bombing campaign.

In recent days, unprecedented flooding in Libya has overwhelmed towns, cities, and villages - resulting in the deaths of over 11,000 people. The fact that infrastructure and civic services have remained derelict and neglected in the wake of the 2011 NATO intervention has without doubt made the catastrophe worse, and rescue efforts more difficult.

DJ, a.o. Military Summary confirmed NK may send a "HIMARS-like" MLRS system.

A scenario could be specialized forces per country. Iran sending mountain specialist forces to fight NATO forces in Ukraine, Syria, Africa...Iran also has navy specialist that could be of use in the Black Sea.

If NATO/biden wants the war against BRICSS+ to go on...NATO may see growing military action even near Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Mexico...

NATO expansionism is destroying NATO...

DJ, There is a military aspect in the NATO-BRICS+ conflict however the basic conflict is economic. An end to western neo-colonialism...part of that western dominance was in the petro-$. Those days are -as good as- over.

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/escobar-welcome-de-westernization-movement or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/escobar-welcome-de-westernization-movement ;

In a broader context, Putin made clear that “the global economy has changed and continues to change; the west, with its own hands, is destroying the system of trade and finance that it itself created.” It is no wonder then that Russia’s trade turnover with Asia-Pacific grew by 13.7 percent in 2022, and by another 18.3 percent in just the first half of 2023.

Cue to Presidential Business Rights Commissioner Boris Titov showing how this reorientation away from the “static” west is inevitable. Although western economies are well-developed, they are already “too heavily invested and sluggish,” says Titov:

“In the East, on the other hand, everything is booming, moving forward rapidly, developing rapidly. And this applies not only to China, India, and Indonesia, but also to many other countries. They are the center of development today, not Europe, our main consumers of energy are there, finally.”

It is quite impossible to do justice to the enormous scope and absorbing discussions featured in the major panels in Vladivostok. Here is just a taste of the key themes.

A Valdai session focused on the accumulated positive effects of Russia's "pivot to the East," with the Far East positioned as the natural hub for swinging the entire Russian economy to Asian geoeconomics.

Yet there are problems, of course, as stressed by Wang Wen from the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University. Vladivostok’s population is only 600,000. the Chinese would say that for such a city, infrastructure is poor, “so it needs more infrastructure as fast as it can. Vladivostok could become the next Hong Kong. The way is to set up SEZs like in Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Pudong.” Not hard, as “the non-western world very much welcomes Russia.”

Wang Wen could not but highlight the breakthrough represented by the Huawei Mate 60 Pro: “Sanctions are not such a bad thing. They only strengthen the “de-westernization movement,” as it is informally referred to in China.

China by mid-2022 slipped into was defined by Wang as “silent mode” in terms of investment for fear of US secondary sanctions. But now that’s changing, and frontier regions once again are regarded as key to trade ties. In the Free Port of Vladivostok, China is the number one investor with its $11 billion commitment.

Fesco is the largest maritime transportation company in Russia – and reaches China, Japan, Korea and Vietnam. They are actively engaged in the connection of Southeast Asia to the Northern Sea Route, in cooperation with Russian Railways. The key is to set up a network of logistic hubs. Fesco executives describe it as “titanic shift in logistics.”

Russian Railways in itself is a fascinating case. It operates, among others, the Trans-Baikal, which happens to be the world’s busiest rail line, connecting Russia from the Urals to the Far East. Chita, smack on the Trans-Siberian - a top manufacturing center 900 km east of Irkutsk - is considered the capital of Russian Railways.

And then there’s the Arctic. The Arctic is home to 80 percent of Russia’s gas, 20 percent of its oil, 30 percent of its territory, 15 percent of GDP, but consists of only 2.5 million people. The development of the Northern Sea Route requires top-notch high-tech, such as a constantly evolving feet of icebreakers.

on payments;

As it stands, a single example of challenges ahead is enough. The idea of coming up with a basket of currencies for an alternative payment system did not gather steam at the BRICS summit because of India’s position.

Aleksandr Babakov, deputy chairman of the Duma, evoked the discussions between the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and Iran on trade financing in national currencies, including a road map to look for best ways in legislation to help attract investment. That’s also being discussed with private companies. The model is the success of the China-Russia trade turnover.

Andrey Klepach, chief economist at VEB, quipped that the best currency is “liquid and stable. Like vodka.” So we’re not there yet. Two-thirds of trade are still carried in dollars and euros; the Chinese yuan accounts for only three percent. India refuses to use the yuan. And there’s a huge Russia-India imbalance: as much as 40 billion rupees are sitting in Russian exporters accounts with nowhere to go. A priority is to improve trust in the ruble: it should be accepted by both India and China. And a digital ruble is becoming a necessity.

Wang Wen concurred, saying there’s not enough ambition. India should export more to Russia and Russia should invest more in India.

In parallel, as pointed out by Sohail Khan, the deputy secretary-general of the SCO, India now controls no less than 40 percent of the global digital payment market. It had a share of zero only seven years ago. That accounts for the success of its unified payment system (UPI).

DJ...Russia is accepting payment for energy in Turkish lira, India rupee...both on the long run Russia needs to be able to use those currencies...India, Türkiye may not be able yet to produce the goods Russia wants to buy in those currencies...

Indonesia -like a lot of OPEC+ countries- could be in the same economic position as Russia. A lot of energy export but still limited other products.

Still BRICS+ is affecting over 5 billion people...the NATO-west "only" may stand for 1 billion of the global population...The GDP -or GDP by PPP- may be a paper statistic. The value of North Korea could -as example- change dramatic when that country becomes a link between South Korea/Japan and Russia, China, even India....

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/g7-prepares-russian-diamond-ban-potentially-reshaping-global-rough-stone-supply-chain or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/g7-prepares-russian-diamond-ban-potentially-reshaping-global-rough-stone-supply-chain ;

While Western sanctions haven't led to the collapse of Russia's economy, the Group of Seven (G7) nations remain determined to roll out the next round of sanctions in a matter of weeks. According to Reuters, this round aims to reshape the global diamond supply chain, shifting it away from Moscow's influence.

Reuters said, "The plan could transform the global diamond supply chain, but implementation will depend heavily on India, whose diamond industry employs millions of people who cut and polish 90% of the world's diamonds."

A Belgian official told reporters the new trade restriction will go into effect on Jan. 1. They said the ban was proposed by Belgium, where Antwerp, home to all major diamond mining companies, is located.

-

Despite all the sanctions that Western officials, US and European corporate media outlets, and neoconservative think tanks said would implode the Russian economy, the International Monetary Fund expects the Russian economy to grow by 1.5% this year. Remember, President Biden once vowed to "turn the ruble into rubble."

DJ...why would India damage its own economy "to punish Russia"?????

In a time we need URGENT !!!! global cooperation we have insane western leaders trying to push NATO expansion/western neo colonialism....

According to the sources, fighting has spread to the east, north and west of the country, with armed opposition groups advancing in some regions, most significantly around the northeastern town of Ndele and other areas known for their gold and diamond mines, which are protected by Wagner operatives.

Hundreds of Wagner mercenaries landed in CAR in 2018 in support of President Faustin-Archange Touadera, under the terms of a defence agreement with Russia

At the end of 2020, with Touadera threatened by a rebel offensive on the capital, Bangui, hundreds more joined them. The leader became known as “President Wagner” as a result, but as Africa Confidential recently reported, his attachment to Moscow has been weakening.

After years of tension between CAR and former colonial power France, Touadera met his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday, as part of what Paris referred to as a “resumption of dialogue and positive dynamics in bilateral relations”.

-

According to MEE sources in Sudan and CAR, the Russian military group is also supporting the Sudanese paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which has been at war with the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) since April.

Wagner has been involved in the transit of weapons across the border into the Darfur region of western Sudan, with opposition sources in CAR stressing that RSF soldiers have also crossed into eastern CAR from Sudan.

-

There is wide regional competition between France and Russia in the region, including CAR, Sudan, Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Gabon and other west and central African countries in a movement that stands against the French influence in the region,” said a source from an international organisation, who asked not to be named because they are not authorised to talk to the media.

“We knew that Russia was supporting the CAR government and the RSF, while France was indirectly standing behind the CAR opposition and the democratic groups that stand against the series of military coups in the region,” another NGO source said.

Touadera, though, has now met with Macron, with Paris and Bangui speaking of relaunching bilateral relations.

Rwanda, a regional player whose influence in CAR is growing as it sends troops to the country and picks up mining concessions and agricultural projects, maintains good relations with the West and Russia.

Rwandan President Paul Kagame has agreed a deal with the British government to host migrants and asylum seekers deported from the UK, while Rwandan troops have protected oil workers from the French company Total in Mozambique.

In eastern Congo, Amnesty found that fighters from the M23 rebel group, which is sponsored by Rwanda, had been guilty of summary execution and the rape of dozens of women.

DJ see also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_history_of_Africa#Military_history_of_Western_Africa or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_history_of_Africa#Military_history_of_Western_Africa ; During the centuries, several African countries experienced bitter civil wars, the bloodiest of which was the Nigerian Civil War (1967–1970) when Biafra sought to break away from Nigeria. Other countries have had either civil wars, internal military strife, and military coup d'états such as the Sierra Leone Civil War (1991–2002), First Liberian Civil War (1989–1996), Guinea-Bissau Civil War (1998–1999). Recent wars have been the Civil war in Côte d'Ivoire (2002–2004), and the Casamance Conflict (1990–present).

DJ, Africa is turning into a NATO-BRICS+ battlefield...however per 2024 after South Africa als "E2" Egypt and Ethiopia will join BRICS. The west has lost its strength...Russia, India, China, Iran may compete with the EU and US...Brazil may become a trading partner for former Portugal colonies...sharing the same language.

One of the "things" North Korea may be able to offer is people...From fighters to workers...Cuba did gain influence by sending doctors around the globe...

The west may offer fiat-currencies...soon becoming close to worthless...It is in need of workers with an aging population...It is in need of natural resources, energy...

The west needs to find a better way than wars....

Warning: Hyperinflation Threat Is Real, Be Prepared

DJ; two basic ingredients;

-central banks keep creating money out of thin air

-consumer demand not slowing down...

Here in Europe the ECB increased interest rates to 4%...however the basic problem is foreign policy/sanctions...pushing up (energy) prices.

In fact, Macron’s view is very popular. According to the European Council on Foreign Relations, close to three-quarters of Europeans believe that the Continent should pursue increased independence vis-à-vis American military power. Additionally, the report shows that majorities in all surveyed countries believe that Europe should remain neutral in any conflict between China and the U.S. over Taiwan.

Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, has repeatedly advocated for strategic autonomy too, as he publicly emphasizes his desire to strengthen relations between China and the EU.

DJ...support for the US-made war in Ukraine is dropping fast in NATO countries...So another Afghanistan-like scenario for NATO is on its way...

The world is now spending trillions on wars, ignoring climate and linked public health risks...There will be a very high price for that !

------

The Derna/Libya flood disaster did claim over 11,000 lives...Western media try to blame "Lybian government" for this climate-disaster...trying to deny the NATO murder of Gadaffi and destroying a functional government in Libya. NATO=chaos...destroying basic health in Iraq, Syria, Libya to defend the US-petro-$...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

Last week, the United States Air Force reported that the pilot of an F-35 ($80 Million) ejected near Beaufort, SC, but the aircraft could not be found.

   Well, word over Intel circuits today CLAIM . . . . unverified as yet . . . that an "unmanned" F-35 has landed safely in . . . . Cuba!

According to sources in the US military, the F-35-B is "the only aircraft where the pilot can be ejected REMOTELY."   It has to do with the aircraft being "fly-by-wire" with everything controlled by the plane computer.

The pilot confirms the plane was on Auto-pilot when he "ejected."  Thus, it __is__ possible the plane continued flying after the pilot elected.

RUMORS . . . . completely un-corroborated as yet. . .  claim the F-35-B computer was "Hacked" by artificial intelligence, the pilot was then ejected by the software, and the plane was then allegedly remotely piloted until it ALLEGEDLY landed in Cuba.

It is now said to be in the possession of either the Chinese or the Russians.

UPDATE --

Public news reports are now CONFIRMING the plane wreckage has been located in South Carolina.   The rumors of a Cuba landing are apparently false.

DJ, this "info" soon may be gone...

Of course the more serious aspect is Electronic Warfare...Can Russia take over control over ships, planes, tanks, drones etc. ?

Putin: Russia's GDP growth could reach 2.5-2.8% by the end of 2023. The economy has recovered. Sanctions pressure? Fully absorbed. Meanwhile, EU mutts mull the imposition of their 5,673,789th sanctions package.

It won’t be long before governments around the world, including the one in Washington, self-destruct.

As economist Herbert Stein once said, “If something cannot go on forever, it has a tendency to stop.” Case in point: fiat money political regimes. Interventionist economies of the West are in a fatal downward spiral, comparable to that of the Roman Empire in the second century, burdened with unsustainable debt and the antiprosperity policies of governments, especially the Green New Deal.

In the global Ponzi scheme, thin air and deceit substitute for sound money. As hedge-fund manager Mitch Feierstein wrote in Planet Ponzi, “You don’t solve a Ponzi scheme; you end it.” Charles Ponzi and Bernie Madoff

Russia strategic victory. Ukraine focus on Bakmut. EU diamond sanctions

DJ...NATO sanctioning Russian diamonds is destroying  (Jewish main player)Antwerp-Belgium as the global diamond trade center...India is polishing those diamonds...so three countries hurt in one -insane- new sanction; Belgium, India and Israel...the outcome will be diamond trade moving towards BRICS+....

My big question; Are western leaders totally insane ?

"Defending Ukraine" by provoking the Russian intervention/ignoring Russian requests for their security has resulted in "the west" now close to breaking point...while BRICS+ may be seeing economic growth.  Is the idea of "western superiority" that dominant that facts are ignored ?

Or is "the west" pushing for global war because the 0,1% is making money out of wars...? Is the "war strategy" a welcome distraction because both climate and pandemic "strategies" -saving profits on the short term- are also showing to be utter disasters ?

--------

We need new sources of energy. We need global cooperation to deal with global problems. Somehow "the west" simply thinks they can deal with it by themselves...

BRICS+ has a lot of questions to answer. From payment systems to food, population problems. Climate collapse will mean billions of people will be moving.

The present "blind capitalism" model is no longer able to get us out of trouble-so BRICS share a view of governments as active partners working for the public good.

A lot of western companies soon may move to BRICS+ countries-because the customers live there...

"Green Tech" could be a factor for "the west" but without access to basic materials and a global market "Green Tech" has run in a dead end street for that west.

DJ-Again !!! The EU is not willing to give up all trade with Asia ! European interests are not always the same as US (or UK) interests !

I think one outcome of the upcoming US elections (november 24) may be a widening gap between the US and the "rest of the west"....The US moving back to isolationism...

Two French-supplied "SCALP" cruise missiles slammed into Russia's Black Sea Naval Headquarters on Crimea today.  Several high ranking Russian military officers were reportedly killed and the building in Sevastopol "split in half."

There is fury in Moscow, with leading Russian government officials publicly saying "It's time for an ultimatum to the West."

Russian sources say two SCALP missiles, supplied by France-- and not Storm Shadow missiles which would have been British-supplied -- hit the building

The rockets penetrated several floors, tearing the building in half. The fire at the scene was burning until a short while ago.

The attack has sparked outrage in Moscow as it comes on the heels of a double strike against the Kilo-class amphibious assault ship and submarine.

"The Kiev regime, instigated and pushed by the collective West, will not stop escalating the military conflict with Russia, each time raising its level and crossing any "red lines" again and again" say Russian officials.

This trend is confirmed by today's attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Sevastopol.

The attack on Sevastopol was probably coordinated with the Western allies. Kiev has already confirmed its participation in it.

According to the Flightradar24 portal, an American P-8A Poseidon reconnaissance aircraft, having taken off from Sicily at 9:31 Moscow time, was patrolling over Romania during the Ukrainian missile attack on Sevastopol. Earlier, a US RQ-4B Global Hawk reconnaissance drone was spotted in the area.

The editor-in-chief of the Russian state TV channel RT, Rossiya Segodnya news agency and Sputnik news agency, Margarita Simonyan, believes that after today's attack in Sevastopol, Russia should stop turning a blind eye to the direct involvement of the West in the military conflict , limited to usual warnings and cautions.

MORE ESCALATION COMING - FAST

Word from Washington, DC today alleges (illegitimate) President Joe Biden told Ukraine President Zelensky the U.S. __will__ supply advanced ATACMS missiles to Ukraine very soon.

In addition, word from the Pentagon says M1A1 Abrams tanks will arrive in Ukraine shortly as well.

BOTH systems were previously said to be not on the table for Ukraine, and now BOTH are on their way.

If the ATACMS arrive in Ukraine, the area shown in yellow on the map below will then be in range for Ukraine to hit.   This would be a GIGANTIC escalation by the West against Russia.

UPDATE 10:14 AM EDT --

Details are emerging.  It is now CONFIRMED a Russian Army reconnaissance team destroyed a German-supplied Leopard tank of the Ukrainian military but manned with a crew comprised of Bunderswehr soldiers.   The Bunderswehr is the actual active duty Army of Germany.

This took place in Zaporozhye this morning.

A member of the actual Russian Recon team directly and personally involved in the incident has stated the following: "When we curbed another offensive and ATGM-ed [destroyed with an anti-tank guided missile] the Leopard, we moved out to the burned vehicle hoping to seize the 'tongue.' Then we saw that the crew's driver-mechanic was severely injured and the others were dead. Once he awoke, the mechanic started yelling 'nicht schießen' ["do not shoot" in German]," the head of the reconnaissance team said.

"The mechanic repeatedly stated that he was not a mercenary but a Bundeswehr serviceman, and that he and the rest of the crew were members of the same unit of the German army," the Russian fighter said, adding that while receiving medical aid, the German soldier named his brigade and its dislocation site.

 The tank's driver died from wounds minutes after he was found despite efforts to save him.

I do not see any confirmation yet on other sites of a German Army tankcrew dying in Ukraine. Most western military personal aid is given by "volunteers" supposed NOT to be in active military NATO duty....

DJ-Very likely a special forces team has been active in between Saint Petersburg and Moscow -so INSIDE !!!! Russia and responsible for drone attacks on airfields...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yevgeny_Prigozhin#Death or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yevgeny_Prigozhin#Death link ?

Wednesday’s warmongering anti-Russian diatribe at the United Nations by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has made clear that German imperialism, guilty of the most horrific crimes in human history, is again on the warpath. Hitler and his gang of mass murderers are dead, but their political legacy lives on in the policies of the German government.

Scholz condemned those who call for an “immediate ceasefire” in the Ukraine war. Rather, the German chancellor cynically declared, “Peace without freedom is oppression. Peace without justice is a diktat.”

DJ, "the west" has limited options;

-Try to regain control over oil, gold, uranium etc. In Niger France has given up on fighting the revolution/coup....ECOWAS/Nigeria is NOT willing to do the dirty work to get Niger/African gold in French banks...African uranium for French nuclear power...

-Finally start talking...very likely increasingly going on...

Some Polish groups may want to claim parts of Ukraine-in part as payment for loans given to Ukraine...Ukraine is in worse debts than even the US....

Direct talks between zelensky and Russia are not very likely. Indirect talks may already be ongoing...China, Türkiye but also Switzerland, Austria could be players....

For biden november '24 elections are the main point on the agenda...(DJ-Again...if the 2024 US elections would be a repeat of the biden-trump insanity the rest of the world-very likely even EU/UK-would give up on the USA....).

The US would like to avoid another Vietnam/Afghanistan disaster...So "the US does support any Ukraine peace effort" as long it would not be seen as yet another NATO disaster...

Europe has elections in the coming months as well...most "parties" so far supported the NATO expansion war however economic recession - inflation - both very likely getting much worse soon. So reality should translate to another foreign policy....

The EU wants good relations with China, India...Asia in general. The EU may not want to do trade WITH Russia but may not escape from doing trade VIA Russia...For energy there may not be much alternatives than Russia/OPEC+...

Imports from Russia to Dutch ports plummeted last year in the wake of the invasion of Ukraine, latest official figures show.

Russia remained the largest source of imports, but the total quantity was down by 32%, the statistics agency CBS said.

The total volume of goods loaded and unloaded was up by 1.2%, mainly as a result of more goods arriving from the United States.

Liquid gas imports from the US were up by 98% as European countries looked for alternative sources to Russian pipeline gas.

This year’s figures are expected to confirm that the US has overtaken Russia as the main exporter of goods to Europe via the Netherlands, after stricter EU sanctions on Russian oil and gas came into force in December 2022.

In total 433 million tons were unloaded in 2022, an increase of 4.3% on the previous year, while the amount of goods loaded onto vessels declined by 8.8% to 189 million tons.

Imports of wet bulk goods, which includes oil and natural gas, were up by 8.8%, while dry bulk goods, including coal, increased by 4.3%. Imports via shipping containers declined by 7.2%.

DJ, One of the US goals in seeking conflict/war with Russia, China may be to keep Europe under "US protection"...One may however see this as a sign of US weakness NOT strength...

The west-biden-seems to be unable to get any contact with reality..."Politics-for-sale" now only serves the war industry, only profits count....

Western democracy has become "democrazy" with censorship being outsourced to private "social media" only going for advertisments income...

The "west" is about to collapse...however could go nuclear trying to avoid that fate....

DJ Very major -bad- news is another war in the Middle East. https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog-october-7-2023/ or https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog-october-7-2023/ ;

Hamas claims to have captured soldiers, civilians in massive assault; at least 22 killed

Hundreds wounded, at least 70 seriously, in rocket and infiltration attacks on south, center of country; massive call-up of reservists; school cancelled Sunday

DJ...https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2023/10/07/712211/Sirens-blare-Israeli-occupied-territories-after-rockets-fired-Gaza or https://www.presstv.ir/Detail/2023/10/07/712211/Sirens-blare-Israeli-occupied-territories-after-rockets-fired-Gaza ;

Palestinians have launched their biggest operation against Israel in years in a surprise offensive that combined fighters crossing the fence into Israeli occupied cities with a heavy barrage of rockets from the Gaza Strip.

Videos purportedly showed resistance fighters inside a military base on Saturday, as bodies of dead soldiers lied on the ground.

At least 22 Israelis have been killed, Israel's N12 News reported, citing the Israeli ambulance service. The Times of Israeli said Palestinian fighters infiltrated the town of Sderot and other settlements.

The unprecedented offensive started a few minutes before 7 a.m. as Israelis celebrated the last day of the weeklong Sukkot festival, with hundreds of rockets fired at Israel.

Red alert warning sirens were activated in Tel Aviv, Sde Boker, Arad, and Dimona in the south as explosions were heard by residents on Saturday. In al-Quds, rocket sirens sounded followed by the sound of explosions.

Cars were seen on fire after a rocket landed in Ashkelon, southern Israel.

Hamas' armed wing said more than 5,000 rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel on Saturday, declaring it had started "Operation al-Aqsa Flood".

"We decided to put an end to all the crimes of the occupation, their time for rampaging without being held accountable is over," Hamas said. "We announce Operation al-Aqsa Storm and we fired, in the first strike of 20 minutes, more than 5,000 rockets."

Gaza-based Islamic Jihad said its fighters have joined the operation as Hamas called on Palestinians everywhere to fight and on resistance groups in Lebanon also to join the fighting against Israel.

"We are part of this battle, our fighters are side-by-side with their brothers in the Qassam Brigades until victory is achieved," said Islamic Jihad armed wing spokesman Abu Hamza on a post on Telegram.

DJ...Netanyahu may blame Iran for this attack....

Possibly related https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/syria-russia-pound-idlib-after-terror-attack-killed-80-people-homs-military-college or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/syria-russia-pound-idlib-after-terror-attack-killed-80-people-homs-military-college ;

Overnight and into Friday the Syrian Army pummeled Idlib province with artillery and missiles, in retaliation for a Thursday drone attack conducted by the region's al-Qaeda groups which scored a direct hit on a crowded military graduation ceremony at Homs military college.

Syria's health ministry in the immediate aftermath said the drone attack killed 80 people and wounded 240 more. Al Jazeera and other regional sources have cited over 100 dead, which included military officers and their family members. At least six children were among the deceased, in what may be the single deadliest terror attack inside Syria in years.

DJ, however western supported terrorists in NW Syria so far did NOT use these kind of drones...so was the attack on Homs-in Syria-Israel linked ?

In Syria the US shot down a Turkish drone meant to hit Kurdish targets after a Kurdish suicide attack did do damage in Türkiye...

Assad/Syria president-visited China and China and Syria may become strategic partners.

China may start diplomacy to improve Turkish-Syrian relations.

"The West" would hate to see China getting port facilities in Syria on the mediterranean sea...China does welcome Türkiye thinking of joining BRICS+...

-----------------

The EU is very divided on Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, 6 west Balkan countries joining the EU per 2030. There may simply not be enough money for that....

zelensky was at the EU meeting in Grenada-Spain and (of course) "Russia killed dozens of Ukrainian civilians near Charkow"....what a coincidence.....

Lots of "news" in wars may be propaganda or mis-reporting....

------------------

DJ-With the Ukraine counter offensive becoming a total disaster, Ukraine/NATO running out of lots of land-war weapons and soldiers I think there is an increasing risk for an air-war...With that the war WILL !!!! escalate. If NATO air forces use Polish bases to attack Russian positions in Ukraine (or Russia) it may be hard for Russia NOT to attack those bases inside NATO countries....

The "Israel situation" for now looks "terrible" with lots of risks for an "explosion"...war spreading also to Lebanon and Syria...increasing pressure in Egypt to "get involved"...if Israel bombs Gaza to pieces (with very likely thousends of Palestinians killed...) ...

Outlook is BAD !!!!!

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

DJ, it looks like the present crisis in Israel may be one of the most worse crisis Israel may have seen...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab%E2%80%93Israeli_conflict#Notable_wars_and_violent_events or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab%E2%80%93Israeli_conflict#Notable_wars_and_violent_events

Very likely on the Israeli side by now over 100 killed-in part military/police...Palestinians take Israeli hostage...

Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt blame Israel for the crisis...Iran may stop Israel overreacting...

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/watch-palestinians-use-drones-attack-and-cripple-israeli-tanks or https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/watch-palestinians-use-drones-attack-and-cripple-israeli-tanks ; In a scene which has become familiar in Ukraine but not so much in the Middle East until now, Palestinian fighters released video footage of an attack on an Israeli Merkava Mk4 tank using a drone armed with what appears to be a mortar round.  The round strikes the engine compartment, which unlike most tanks sits at the front of the Merkava, and the vehicle immediately catches fire from the inside.

DJ, no doubt Israel will blame Iran for the attack.

The US, UK, EU take the Israeli side-making them part of the problem NOT of a solution...

-----------------

Türkiye may by now be very frustrated...Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine may be part of the EU-at least some EU-crazies claim-Türkiye has been on the waitinglist for decades...

The latest Kurdish actions inside Türkiye -with the US protecting the Kurdish proxies in Syria and Iraq- further push Türkiye towards Iran, Russia...

In the recent past Türkiye did become more pro-Palestinian...

Israel at war: 150 killed in Hamas assault, hostages taken to Gaza, rockets on Tel Aviv

Over 1,000 injured in unprecedented infiltration from Gaza, with terrorists at 22 sites attacking civilians and soldiers; thousands of rockets fired at Israel; reservists called up

DJ, Israel likely preparing for war at more fronts...Syria does made it clear it wanted to retake the Golan Heights...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yom_Kippur_War or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yom_Kippur_War ;

The Yom Kippur War, also known as the Ramadan War, the October War,[60] the 1973 Arab–Israeli War, or the Fourth Arab–Israeli War, was an armed conflict fought from October 6 to 25, 1973

DJ...so this Yom Lippur War was 50 years ago...However the present situation for Israel is seeing war INSIDE Israel.

The "west" tolerated Israeli agression/genocide of Palestinians...did even provide tools for it. Western further assistance in Israeli agression could further escalate NATO-BRICS conflicts...

The US positioning B1, B2 bombers in Europe yesterday may give an indication some in the US may have expected a further escalation...maybe however NOT in Israel...

https://www.moonofalabama.org/2023/10/palestine-strikes-back.html or https://www.moonofalabama.org/2023/10/palestine-strikes-back.html ;

October 5 2023:

Over 800 Israeli settlers storm Al-Aqsa compound during Jewish Sukkot holiday

More than 800 Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem on Thursday morning under the protection of Israeli forces.

Rabbis, heads of settlement associations, and far-right university lecturers were among 832 people who forced their way into the religious site compound, a source in the Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem told The New Arab's Arabic sister site Al-Araby Al-Jadeed.

Israeli forces imposed severe restrictions on Muslim worshippers entering Al-Aqsa and those under 60 were prevented from accessing the site.

DJ, western propaganda "news" ignored the Israeli recent agression...

Maybe Russia, China may find ways of de-escalation...For now the outlook for the coming night is very bad...

Israel just bombed a 14 story building filled with civilians in #Gaza. People will be trapped under the rubble. It's all Israel has known how to do since 9/11.

DJ, Palestinian fighters killing Israeli citizens...Israel fighters killing hundreds of Palestinians...

Very likely for now Israel will be able to deal with the Palestinian forces. Further escalation may result in very severe damage for Israel...

DJ-"the west" should have done much more to find ways Palestinians, Israelis could live together...instead NATO exploited the conflict to use Israel as a "weapon" to keep the region/oil under control...No doubt energy prices will increase...Oil routes may be in danger...

DJ,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxNi69WNRY0 or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxNi69WNRY0 WeebUnion (from Denmark) doing a good job describing the "events" taking place in Israel.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYw5DNlrRSA or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYw5DNlrRSA WION-India also giving a more balanced, neutral, view....

...because again the NATO-west is blind for agression and terrorism from the "pro-western"side ...even supporting their terrorism...

-After 2014 Ukraine pro western puppets killed over 14,000 Russian speaking citizens in Eastern Ukraine...

-Israel has been killing Palestinians almost on a daily basis, stealing their land, making live impossible...

Yet "NATO comes up with the Ukraine World War Two nazi salute "slava ukraina"....now also NATO is backing, supporting Israeli terrorism....

DJ-Israel can and should be a factor of peace and stability in the region but since 1948 in many ways -more and more- has developed into a new sort of "Crusader State"...a NATO proxy spreading war in a.o. Syria, Iraq, Yemen...

So....https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/israel-under-attack-800-missiles-fired-from-gaza-hamas-enters-israel-by-land-and-by-air-idf-declares-state-of-war or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/world/israel-under-attack-800-missiles-fired-from-gaza-hamas-enters-israel-by-land-and-by-air-idf-declares-state-of-war may be overdoing it with nuclear risks from Israel against Gaza, Lebanon, Damascus, Tehran...but I do think he may have a point...

Also this is part of the wider BRICS+-NATO war...

---------------

The main "weapon" hamas/Palestinians had was surprise...that element-on Yom Kippour day, repeating the surprise of 1973, now is over...

It looks like Israel will attack Gaza..Trying to liberate the -very likely over 100 Israeli hostages while also "kill Palestinians" on an unseen scale (and backed by the west...)...

More neutral countries call for de-escalation...but for now are ignored...

------------

Three groups;

-NATO/Israel again going for war....

-Iran, Syria, but also North Korea supporting Palestine, Afghan-taliban asking permission to "liberate Jerusalem"...Hezbollah in Lebanon "moving in" if Israel moves into Gaza (with Israel very likely preparing strikes agains Hezbollah in Lebanon, targets in Syria...)

-In the present conflict more neutral countries...

A, Egypt, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan...do blame Israel for the present crisis...

B. Russia, China point to a two-country solution the west did block....

------------

https://www.timesofisrael.com/ or https://www.timesofisrael.com/ ;

At least 26 Israeli soldiers killed

Hezbollah firing rockets "in solidarity" from Lebanon (but not yet a fuul scale attack...so far...)

Massive IDF call-up as gunfights continue in towns; 300 Israelis dead, rockets persist

Over 1,500 injured in surprise Hamas assault; dozens abducted to Gaza; devastating reports of carnage emerge in border communities held by terrorists for long hours

The Israel Defense Forces was engaged in a massive build-up of forces Saturday night, calling up large numbers of reservists and preparing for war as it continued to reel from one of the darkest days in Israel’s history, which saw an unprecedented terrorist assault on the country’s southern communities, with hundreds killed, over 1,500 wounded and apparently dozens abducted by the Hamas terror group.

In an assault of startling breadth, Hamas gunmen rolled into as many as 22 locations in southern Israel, including towns and other communities as far as 15 miles (24 kilometers) from the Gaza border. In some places, they roamed for hours, gunning down civilians and soldiers as Israel’s military scrambled to muster a response. Gun battles continued well after nightfall, and terrorists held hostages in standoffs in at least two towns.

The death toll from the day’s events continued to rise by the hour and as of early Sunday morning stood at 300 people, many of them civilians slain in their homes and in the streets, as well as at a large outdoor party targeted by the terrorists.

DJ, YES hamas/Palestinians did do acts of terror...however the problem is Israel did terrorize Palestinians...You are NOT helping Israel or Palestine if you ignore that fact !

There is NO !!!! military solution...providing more military "aid" is putting petrol on the fire...making matters worse !

It may be impossible to tell what will be next...

-Very likely Israel wil go for large scale bombing of Gaza, Israel Defense Forces/IDF will be able to finish hamas positions outside Gaza...

-Economic damage to both Israel and global economy is major (energy prices may explode)

-Even if Hezbollah/Lebanon, Syria, Iran stay out of an open war Israel will face major risks "from the north"...and may try to use the moment to deal with that as well...

-Guerilla warfare https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guerrilla_warfare or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guerrilla_warfare will restart inside Israel...

DJ Here in NL https://rightsforum.org/ or https://rightsforum.org/ is promoting the rights of Palestinians...https://www.cidi.nl/ or https://www.cidi.nl/ is promoting Israel....In lots of countries this Israel/NATO-Palestine/Arab conflict is becoming part of social divides...

------------

Nuclear risks...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_weapons_and_Israel or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_weapons_and_Israel ;

The State of Israel is widely believed to possess nuclear weapons. Estimates of Israel's stockpile range between 80 and 400 nuclear warheads,[2][5][6][7][8][9] and the country is believed to possess the ability to deliver them in several methods, including by aircraft, as submarine-launched cruise missiles, and via the Jericho series of intermediate to intercontinental range ballistic missiles.[18][19] Its first deliverable nuclear weapon is thought to have been completed in late 1966 or early 1967; which would make it the sixth country in the world to have developed them

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel_and_weapons_of_mass_destruction or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel_and_weapons_of_mass_destruction

DJ, given the amount of hatred...a history of horror from both sides (I remember during the intifada IDF soldiers breaking bones of Palestine children...the murder of a Palestine female journalist without any excuse...) the present Israel-Palestine escalation can go "very, very wrong"....

Arab states, Türkiye, Iran will/can not accept an Israeli large scale mass murder on Palestinians as "Israeli self defense"....The Islamic World (Pakistan, Indonesia) will see it as yet another act of western anti-Islam agression...Religion and wars are a very bad mix...

The west is showing a racist face towatds the west...claiming to be superior-having the right to tell the rest of the world what to do...

With NATO losing yet again-after Afghanistan- in Ukraine NATO is desperate in need of some sort of claim of "victory" even if this brings us close to the edge...

DJ, I am NOT neutral ! Once we had a Pacifist Socialist Party here in NL...I am anti-war !

If a friend or neighbour has a fight you do NOT send weapons but try to limit the conflict, try to find a way out !!!

Both in Ukraine and Israel "NATO help" is making matters much worse !!!

Terrorism in Israel/Gaza did not start on october 7...it has been an ongoing human disaster for over a century....

As so often there are already to many weapons...but all "the west" can think of is sending even more...

To get out of the crisis in the Middle East one has to get info;

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYW9428fjQg or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYW9428fjQg WION-India,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uj8FsCGWrQ8 or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uj8FsCGWrQ8 WeebUnion from Denmark are doing their best...

Although I often disagree with him on many points also -in my opinion- https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/home or https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/home could be of use....

-------------------

-One major question for all has to be how Hamas was able to make such a massive attack and keep active this long....

Israel-Gaza border control was supposed to notice even birds moving...how can it be they missed para-gliders moving from Gaza to a party 30 kilometers away killing there over 260 young people-most from Israel ?

The western idea is Hamas may have had help. From Iran, maybe even Russia...electronic warfare...Still that does not explain why Israeli soldiers did miss those para-gliders, moter cycles moving to a fence...So how could this happen ?

-Yes Hamas did terrorize the south part of Israel. Killing hundreds of civilians, taking 100-170 hostages (including military, police but also young children, old people...again-Israel/western bombs killed also many civilians...not an excuse...just trying to understand why some people do such evil acts...)..

This major Palestinian/Hamas strike against Israel-inside Israel may have been the worst possible scenario -even beyond most people imagination. Very likely even Hamas may have been surprised they managed to get this far...(maybe it also could explain the amount of mass murder...Hamas fighters/terrorists may have expected to be stopped much sooner...).

The massive terror attack on Israel did result in panic...lots of people now try to get out of Israel....from tourists, students to Israeli citizens with also pasports for other countries...

-Israel as a "Jewish State" needed a Jewish majority....That idea resulted in even deportation of non-Jewish people....Is an "Identity State" realistic ? Is it acceptable to go for a "Jewish State"?

Yes...NO ONE !!!! should deny the holocaust ! The mass murder by the nazi's was a terrible peak of anti-Semitism...But is trying to create a "Jewish homeland" the right answer ? And if so-how to do that with respect to other rights ? (Why do the 30-39 million Kurds still NOT have their own country ?)

------------

Where are we now ?

https://israelpalestine.liveuamap.com/ or https://israelpalestine.liveuamap.com/ , Weeb Union mentioning also major riots on the West Bank...very likely settlers fighting/shooting Palestinians-they protest against Israel occupation of what was supposed to be Palestinian territory...

Both Israel and Hizbollah/Lebanon are preparing for a major escalation in the north of Israel-South of Lebanon...with possibly also Syria/Golan Heights getting involved...

(DJ-Assad may be a "dictator"...there are many of them...but he kept the Syria-Israel border quiet...it was Israel/US/NATO that supported IS, jihadi terrorism...Russia and Iran now are major players in Syria...if claims are correct that Israel/Netanyahu did send lots of weapons to Ukraine - after Russia tried to limit Iran-Israel conflicts in a.o. Syria "Russia will be very unpleased"...)

The US is sending lots of ships in the direction of Israel and Iran...EU "leaders" follow US orders...(both in the US and EU there have been demonstrations for both sides...).

Israel bombing/shelling Gaza, very likely still fighting Hamas fighters inside Israel....Hamas still able to send missiles inside Israel. The "Iron Dome" Israeli protection was unable to stop all missiles...

What do we NOT want ?

Further escalation....Hezbollah may have over 40,000 missiles ready...could have over 250,000 fighters...The Afghan "taliban" fighters are allowed -possibly- to move towards Jerusalem via Iran...

We do not want to see an all out Arab-Israeli war as an outcome of Israeli "actions" in Gaza...Israel may plan to "retake" Gaza...even breaking up the Israel-Egypt peace agreement...

Certainly we do NOT want to see a "christian" NATO war with the Islamic World...(Russia also has a Christian dominant factor, inside many Arab countries orthodox minorities excist...In Syria, Iraq, Egypt they were/are part of the power elite...).

---------------------

How to stop insane wars ????

DJ-There is nothing heroïc in wars..killing others, blowing up buildings, bridges is destructive...an act of evil...

In most religions-and in Humanism-respect for live is basic...You shall NOT kill !!! No one-NO ONE !!!- has any right to kill fellow humans !

For that matter making weapons is wrong ! If you do not want war stop producing the tools of war....

Confronting people with the horrors of wars...people blown up in pieces, burned black...so the teeth show up when they try to smile...Only crazy people may justify such horrors to anyone....

We need talks and wisdom...time...Accepting that there always will be disagreements-lots of them-but we always have to end up talking...

The alternative could be we all kill each other....

PEACE NOW !!! ...or never....

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

Fear not, say the neocons, we still have the Wall Street Journal to carry water for us:

Iran Helped Plot Attack on Israel Over Several Weeks (archived) - Wall Street Journal - Oct 8 2023

DUBAI—Iranian security officials helped plan Hamas’s Saturday surprise attack on Israel and gave the green light for the assault at a meeting in Beirut last Monday, according to senior members of Hamas and Hezbollah, another Iran-backed militant group.

Officers of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had worked with Hamas since August to devise the air, land and sea incursions—the most significant breach of Israel’s borders since the 1973 Yom Kippur War—those people said.

Details of the operation were refined during several meetings in Beirut attended by IRGC officers and representatives of four Iran-backed militant groups, including Hamas, which holds power in Gaza, and Hezbollah, a Shiite militant group and political faction in Lebanon, they said.

WSJ authors in Dubai(!) have access to "senior members of Hamas and Hezbollah"?

Both groups are notorious for their secrecy and their senior leadership is usually hidden away. Those facts alone are enough to debunk the report as nonsense. But the WSJ authors continue:

“We don’t have any information at this time to corroborate this account,” said a U.S. official of the meetings.

A European official and an adviser to the Syrian government, however, gave the same account of Iran’s involvement in the lead-up to the attack as the senior Hamas and Hezbollah members.

Asked about the meetings, Mahmoud Mirdawi, a senior Hamas official, said the group planned the attacks on its own. “This is a Palestinian and Hamas decision,” he said.

A spokesman for Iran’s mission to the United Nations said the Islamic Republic stood in support of Gaza’s actions but didn’t direct them.

“The decisions made by the Palestinian resistance are fiercely autonomous and unwaveringly aligned with the legitimate interests of the Palestinian people,” the spokesman said. “We are not involved in Palestine’s response, as it is taken solely by Palestine itself.”

Three direct rejections by official sources of the WSJ claims get countered with an anonymous 'European official' and a likewise anonymous 'adviser to the Syrian government'.

It is like the authors don't even try to sound believable:

Energy minister instructs authorities to cut off water to Gaza

Energy Minister Israel Katz announces that he has instructed authorities to cut off water to the Gaza Strip.

“I instructed that the water supply from Israel to Gaza be cut off immediately,” Katz says in a statement, adding that the flow of power and fuel was ceased two days ago.

DJ...there are over two million people living in Gaza...is Israel pushing for ethnic cleansing ?

One of the reasons Israel may have agreed -once- with some form of Palestinian State might be "it would keep Israel more Jewish"....

https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2023/10/09/gvpr-o09.html or https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2023/10/09/gvpr-o09.html ;

The International Committee of the Fourth International (ICFI) unequivocally denounces the Netanyahu government’s declaration of war on the Palestinian people following the uprising in Gaza against the Israeli occupation.

The hysterical frothing of the Israeli regime, reminiscent of the Nazis, can be interpreted as nothing less than a call for the extermination of a large portion of the population of Gaza.

The ICFI denounces no less emphatically the declarations of total support given by the Biden administration and the governments of the European Union to the genocidal campaign that is now being planned and implemented by the Israeli armed forces.

The dispatch of an American aircraft carrier to the region is a vile display of imperialist solidarity with the massive attack on the Palestinian people.

DJ, you do not undo one crime with another crime !

We need to deal with major global problems like the pandemic, climate collapse...War/fossil fuel industry is endangering live on this planet by pushing for ever more wars...

Is genocide in human DNA ? Do "whites" need to kill Africans and Muslims ?

STOP WAR NOW !!! Or it will stop us !

Mass murder by Hamas, Israel, NATO are evil...

Egypt spy chief warned Netanyahu of Gaza assault, was ignored — report

Abbas Kamel, the powerful head of Egyptian intelligence, warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu 10 days before the attack, Ynet reports.

Kamel warned Israel that “something unusual, a terrible operation” was about to take place around Gaza.

Kamel was reportedly aghast at Netanyahu’s passivity upon hearing the report.

Egyptian sources tell Ynet that Netanyahu responded that IDF forces were focused on fighting terror in the West Bank, where deadly terror attacks against Israel were being carried out.

Netanyahu’s office calls the Ynet report “a lie.”

DJ-Israel may call up 300.000 extra troops...Hezbollah, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghan forces may be in the millions...Israeli mass murder on the people in Gaza could even end peace with Egypt...but maybe the west wants to punish Egypt for joining BRICS...

DJ,

Two realistic scenario's to solve the present-very serious-crisis in "the middle east/world";

-https://www.ad.nl/buitenland/midden-oostendeskundige-ophouden-te-geloven-in-tweestatenoplossing-werkelijkheid-onder-ogen-zien~aa1df326/ or https://www.ad.nl/buitenland/midden-oostendeskundige-ophouden-te-geloven-in-tweestatenoplossing-werkelijkheid-onder-ogen-zien~aa1df326/

Give up on a two state idea...DJ-This would mean Israel becoming a multi-nation state...no longer a Jewish homeland...

-Go for a realistic two state-solution. Connecting Gaza with the West Bank, giving up the Negev desert, Eilat to a realistic Palestinian state in exchange for international security guarantees for Israel.

...the bad news...No one is discussing these way outs...

https://www.moonofalabama.org/2023/10/egypt-claims-it-warned-israel-of-upcoming-attack.html or https://www.moonofalabama.org/2023/10/egypt-claims-it-warned-israel-of-upcoming-attack.html

DJ, Israeli security failed FOR HOURS !!!!! It was not only when Hamas forces -over 1000 fighters !- broke out of Gaza...but also in further reaction somehow Israel missed what was happening! How can that be ???

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjPKHQT_yiw or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjPKHQT_yiw ;

NATO, Ukraine, and Israel w/Prof. Jeffrey Sachs

DJ, Judge Napolitano video....Israel may for now unite behind netanyahu untill they understand netanyahu is the one responsible for this total mess...

Jeffrey Sachs/JS also makes the points of "no diplomacy" and "unconditional surrender"...ruling out any kind of compromise...

DJ-Israel killed at least 9 hezbollah figures in Lebanon...de-escalation is of the table...

The US warned that if hezbollah gets in the fight the US may intervene...Russia warned the US...

Of course background is Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iran joining BRICS+ within 3 months...

This is what a NATO-BRICS+ war looks like...

--------------

NATO weapons now moving from Poland to Israel...no longer to Ukraine (or Taiwan...)...Still the US claims they can keep confrontations going on multiple fronts...

DJ-the basic thinking of NATO "crazies" is WRONG !!! You have to make compromizes...

W.A.R.-Y.A.W. thinking...We Are Right -You Are Wrong...

Maybe Putin is a very popular dictator of Russia, Iran an islamic-facist country, China a dictatorship...The "west" did not care for democracy as long as "rulers" supported that west...

You CAN NOT exchange Putin by navalni, Maduro in Venezuela by guido-facist-puppet...exchanging regimes in Ukraine, Iraq, Libya etc. did NOT bring better conditions for those nations...Somehow the "west" in its arrogance keeps thinking they can place their puppets around non-western countries...Are EU "leaders" now also following US orders ?

Are there no -healthy- limits to both the EU and NATO ?

Somehow evaluating policies has become a sort of "political porn"...you keep pushing failing policies...kicking cans down the road, create money to buy time and think that is durable...

Insanity rules ! Major problems, climate, health, are now only getting larger because we are running out of means to solve them...wasting trillions on insane confrontations...

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

DJ, Among others  on YouTube Military Summary (Belarus) and weeb Union (Denmark) try to give good-neutral- info on the wars in Ukraine and Middle East.  I also follow WION and Hindustan Times -both from India- for info.

Times of Israel, Press-TV -Iran may also provide extra info.

-------------------

I am NOT neutral ! In my view biden his urge for confrontation is insane ! With joe biden as US president the US does not need any other enemy...Why ?

-The Ukraine war could and should have been avoided. Russia demanding security is reasonable...There is and was no need for NATO to move further east...The outcome of the NATO-Russia conflict is BRICS+ per 2024 will include also Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iran...Ethiopia and Argentina may not be directly in the Middle East conflict zone...

NATO in general now is in recession...

Russia is NOT isolated...US foreign policy insanity towards both China and Iran results in even more military cooperation between Russia-Iran-China...

-At present in Ukraine Russia did start offensives. One of the regions is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donetsk or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donetsk ;

Donetsk (UK/dɒnˈjɛtsk/ don-YETSK,[1] US/dən-/;[2][3] UkrainianДонецьк [doˈnɛt͡sʲk] RussianДонецк [dɐˈnʲetsk] ), formerly known as AleksandrovkaYuzivka (or Hughesovka), Stalin and Stalino (see also: cities' alternative names), is an industrial city in eastern Ukraine located on the Kalmius River in Donetsk Oblast. The population was estimated at 901,645 (2022 estimate)[4] in the city core, with over 2 million in the metropolitan area (2011). According to the 2001 census, Donetsk was the fifth-largest city in Ukraine.[5]

in fact urban warfare...western part of the urban area...

-(Former) Wagner forces and North Korean shells -10 million (?) 120/150 mm did arrive on the (pro)Russian side.

-Iran designed drones are becoming more and more in use. Very likely a lot of them are made in Russia (by Kalashnikov ?)

-------

With NATO now sending lots of "military aid" to Israel Ukraine needs to do all it can to limit losses...With winter on its way maybe mud will become an Ukraine major ally...

In the Middle East the US -and some crazy EU/NATO types- are positioning themselves much to close to Israel....

-Netanyahu has been pushing for a war with Iran for decades. Since Israel itself can not win such a war the idea was the US/NATO would fight that war...

-YES the hamas terror attack was a very major crime however from a military point of view it could be seen as "a success" for the damage it did to Israel...

Israel already was in many forms of crisis; from netanyahu facing prison, going for dictator-like rule, to the role of religion inside Israel. Keeping Israel "Jewish" meant denying lots of non Jewish foreign workers a right of becoming Israeli citizen...

China did invest in port facilities in Israel...Netanyahu (once) had good relations with Putin/Russia...about 20% of the Israeli population has Russian roots...

DJ-My view; Israel could have been a major positive factor in West Asia. It should have done more to get good relations with other countries.

The Israeli role in Syria, confrontation with Iran and much to close links with the US, EU, NATO -at the end- may have harmed Israel...

-----------

DJ, Cyprus not that long ago had a referendum on the EU and the Euro. One of the EU mistakes was keeping that referendum only on the Greek-part of Cyprus...a referendum that would have included also the Turkish part may have helped to re-unite all of Cyprus...

Israel in many ways is a non-European member in lots of European organizations...Israel has a US military (radar/communications) base and is integrated in NATO defense coordination...One of the outcomes could be Israel as a modern https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crusader_states or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crusader_states ,

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_of_Jerusalem or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_of_Jerusalem ; The Kingdom of Jerusalem, also known as the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem, was a Crusader state that was established in the Levant immediately after the First Crusade. It lasted for almost two hundred years, from the accession of Godfrey of Bouillon in 1099 until the siege of Acre in 1291. Its history is divided into two periods with a brief interruption in its existence, beginning with its collapse after the siege of Jerusalem in 1187 and its restoration after the Third Crusade in 1192.

DJ, after the nazi mass murder of over 6 million Jews between 1938 and 1945 surviving Jews seeking safety is understandable...From a religious point of view the "Old Israel" idea also is not that strange. After the Ottoman/Turkish occupation/World War One the British ruled Palestine...One of the reasons the British give up their position in 1948 was the high investments and low returns Palestine was giving...Other Middle East regions simply had more oil and less problems...

The recent finding of oil and gas for the Israeli/Lebanon coast may be one of the reasons for present escalations...

---------

Israel wants now to destroy Hamas. (Hamas has links to the Muslim brotherhood-wich may have links to the US-CIA...like IS, alquaida etc...). The main power base of Hamas is in Gaza.

To deny Hamas leaders/fighters escaping to Egypt Israel bombed the Gaza-Egypt border crossing. It will limit traffic-but tunnels may still see Hamas leaders moving out, weapons moving into Gaza...

A very major question in need urgently for answers is how Israel security could have missed the Hamas -over 1 year long- preparation for the october 7 attack ....There may be much more "surprises" for Israel if they move into Gaza cutting that urban area with 2,3 million population into several "slices"...

One of the remarks a high ranking IDF military made "drones will not be a major factor" could signal Israel military did not see what is happening in Ukraine...

DJ-A very worrying aspect of the Ukraine war is "drone guided hand granates", small drones with high explosives moving into bunkers, even cars...

Drone warfare is changing the battle field...we may see drones fighting drones...Electronic warfare may be part of modern wars...

-Another aspect is missiles. One could see missiles launched without explosives...to be blown up by air defense...so a later (more massive) missile wave -with explosive warheads- has less air defense to deal with...

----------------

Gaza may have limited military means...Hezbollah in Lebanon will be supplied from Syria/Iran...some estimates go to 250,000 missiles...Iron Dome air defense of Israel can NOT deal with such high numbers....

Another aspect may be linking the Lebanon and Syria/Golan front lines...Israe l may be able to mobilize over 500,000 military...The US/NATO may be sending in supplies to enable those military to fight...But some estimates warn in an all out attack (if Israel would attack Iran...but also if Israel goes full scale against Gaza) Hezbollah missiles could destroy half of Israel...

With Syria (Iran) also joining the war that perspective only gets more worse...

So-YES-the US/NATO may get more involved...

It would be so welcome if US/NATO did push for de-escalation...however "diplomacy" is no longer in use by the US, NATO, EU....

IF !!! US/NATO takes the side of Israel and joins military strikes - NATO is fighting Palestininans, Arabs, Muslims the risks for very major escalation is much to high...

US bases-from inside Iraq to those in Jordan, Qatar, Türkiye may face "problems"....

------------

Both in the US, UK and EU there are protests...lots of them demanding a solution for Palestine...however a political elite is "defending Israel"...

Russia, China (a.o.) want a two state solution...

----------

DJ-My view; Both in Israel and the US there will be "lots of discussions" on the military/political level...I think a "military solution" is unrealistic. Further escalation may see NATO sinking into lots of problems...

There may still be -at lower level- some sort of diplomacy...Türkiye, China push for de-escalation...Russia did have contacts with Israel on Syria...so far Russia did limit Iran in Syria...

I only can hope "sanity" does win...

---------------

With the US at a very low for the strategic oil reserve, the northern part of the globe moving into winter. energy prices go up...Another hurricane could see oil production in the Gulf of Mexico/Texas halted...

Already the "western/NATO" positioning is increasing de-$-ization...Interests rates going up further faster...There is already very major economic damage for the west...

The last thing we need -here in the west- is more war and confrontation....

------------

Israel has limited nuclear weapons-very likely at one or two bases inside Israel...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_weapons_and_Israel or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_weapons_and_Israel ;

The State of Israel is widely believed to possess nuclear weapons. Estimates of Israel's stockpile range between 80 and 400 nuclear warheads,[2][5][6][7][8][9] and the country is believed to possess the ability to deliver them in several methods, including by aircraft, as submarine-launched cruise missiles, and via the Jericho series of intermediate to intercontinental range ballistic missiles.[

DJ, at least part of those weapons could become a target of special forces operations...Goal may be to deny Israel the usage of those weapons...Israel going nuclear could see other countries (Pakistan, Russia ???) also going towards extremes...

In 1973 the USSR did send also nuclear weapons inside Egypt (via Alexandria)  when Israeli forces were 80 kilometers from Caïro...only 30 kilometers from Damascus-Syria...Very likely 50 years ago the US did "limit" Israel to avoid a major disaster...

In 2023 "sanity" and biden/blinken do not mix....
