Recently world news and especially mainstream seems to have gone into a National Enquirer spin.  Both Fox and CNN seem to be a variety of human interest stories, psycho killers, and actually diminishing election coverage versus really important events.

There is no doubt the countries hostile to the U.S. and its allies are emboldened by a lack of solid foreign policy and military muscle. If Iran even attempts to close the Strait of Hormuz, it could likely escalate into a world war.  More than a 1/3 of the oil globally pass through this critical area and it is unlikely U.S. warships and aircraft carriers will turn and run anytime soon.

Testing limits,  which is often the turf of children and hostile dogs has reached extreme edges as one Russian fighter jet zoomed within 30 feet of the deck of a U.S. warship. There is no room for miscalculation here. If that  jet had hit that ship there would have been retaliation and the pushing of buttons and a chain reaction which could send nukes from the bellies of submarines targeting major cities.

This is not just saber rattling. It is a increasing effort to further limit and control international waters and a loss of the ability of countries to defend themselves against foreign aggression.

Several years ago, I posted an article here when an armada of ships most "secretly" sent to the Gulf and U.S., ally, and Russian ship were nose to nose and even a single shot could set off World War III.

We are on the verge of a nuclear war as much or more than even when Russian missiles were headed for Cuba. The increasing deterioration of our military force is not an acceptable option.

It is no wonder that the U.S. military is getting little respect these days. The systematic reduction of the fighting force of American is seeing Draconian levels not known since the early 1940s. There appear to be no logical reason for this. The illogical reason is this is a purposeful act done to make the U.S. more vulnerable to attack from their enemies. This is only one in a sequence of bad decisions which is hurting America. It is hard to imagine anyone doing such a good job of weakening and hurting the economy, the respect, or future of a country without a real plan to do so.
