Great job to all the staff at the Orlando hospital. These people saved many lives so many loved ones.
We need to learn from this survivalists. This hospital was great but this was 50 critical people. We need be aware of how bad a hospital would get in an event that involved hundreds, thousands. What will each of us do when hospitals break down. I can tell you what I have done. I have tried to stock up on items that could be used by the friends who are nurses and PAs. I have 2 nurses in my cul du sac and my close friend's daughter is a PA. I have purchased sutures that dissolve internally and external sutures, clamps, Blades for scalpels, large wound care bandages, hospital solutions for cleaning the area and the wound. I have more to purchase and I know some of these things have "use by dates" but when times are bad and no hospital available this may save lives. I also save meds for pain and have punchased fish meds antibiotics. I have all the pain relief in my safe so my son or anyone else can't get to them. I have had so much surgery I have lots of pain pills that I don't use. If any of you medical people would put together a list for us of items lay people can buy it would be a huge help so we could be prepared. Learn who you neighbors are see who you have near you that have a medical education. Pray for the families who have lost loved ones and loved ones in hospital. |
