A
 patient suspected of having been infected with the Ebola virus has been
 treated at  Dr. Soedono General Hospital in Madiun, East Java. The 
patient, identified only as Muk, formerly worked in Liberia, the country
 suffering from the worst of the Ebola outbreak.
Head
 of Dr. Soedono General Hospital’s medical treatment Dr. Syaiful Anwar 
said the authorities had decided to bring the patient in since there was
 indication that he might have been exposed to the Ebola virus.
“We
 are still observing the patient’s condition. It is clear that he 
suffers from Malaria. He has had a high fever for days,” Syaiful said as
 quoted by tribunnews.com on Saturday.
He said if the patient’s condition got worse then he would be transferred to the general hospital in Surabaya.
Muk
 was working in Liberia since March before returning home to Indonesia. 
As soon as he reached the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, he was 
 quarantined for a day, as he was suffering from high fever.He
 was permitted to return home after recovering but  the same fever 
resurfaced again as soon as he reached his hometown of Madiun.
