Cheap imported( CHINA ) dog treats especially raw or incorrectly prepared pig's ear chew toys may put dogs, puppys and human companions at risk. Amoung canine patients in US resistance to antimicrobial drug Trimethoprim-Sulfamethoxazole. Swine flu has been linked to consumption of pig's ears. Sorry to post if all dog owners know about this.

I just posted in another part of this about one of my dogs recently passing away totaly unexpected! After reading your post on the pigs ears..now you have me wondering;( We had bought a large bag of them the week we went camping, and both dogs loved them! But why would only one dog pass away and not the other if they both ate them? Anyone have a clue to this one?

Boy I'm glad I read your post about the pigs ears. I love my girl, China, so much and I give them to her all the time. Not anymore. It's not worth the risk when there are loads of other options available.
