There is a parvo virus outbreak in Washington state as well.  But, at least you can vaccinate against that.    http:///www.dailyastorian.com/washington-state-dog-park-closed-after-illness-outbreak-da-ap-webfeeds-news-northwest7ca6b92fcf7c4e05abeb55677b73fc32" rel="nofollow - http:///www.dailyastorian.com/washington-state-dog-park-closed-after-illness-outbreak-da-ap-webfeeds-news-northwest7ca6b92fcf7c4e05abeb55677b73fc32

I did not let my puppy out of my yard and I did not have my lawn service until I did a Parvo Titer on my 12 week old puppy. Her titer came back and she had huge Parvo resistance in her blood. Only then did I let her go out in public.

I avoid all dog parks, and any dogs when we walk. But just like humans a dog will get sick. I just hope it is not my dog.

Let's keep an eye on his illness because I know many of us have dogs.
