Am proud to be an American with a country who still shoulders the weight of protecting the world in case of nuclear attack from North Korea and will be covering The Aussies backside who are well in range after the current test. I suppose all of us could post threads on each country we are from but America has the position of being responsible for its huge minority population which are becoming the majority and providing health care while the condition of the Aborigines is terrible and nothing to be proud of.

So while I see frequent attack on my country, the United States - where such things should be in the political section - not the main - apparently the attempt to do so has been abandoned.

A former government business manager says Aboriginal people in parts of Central Australia are still living in car bodies and humpies.

Business managers were placed in Aboriginal communities under the federal intervention in the Northern Territory to coordinate and manage the delivery of government services.

Alan Hudson has told 783 ABC Alice Springs he walked away from the job because he could no longer represent a Government that was so unresponsive to the concerns of people living in communities.

He says he saw little improvement over the year he was employed as a business manager responsible for Ampilatwatja, about 325 kilometres north of Alice Springs, and the Utopia outstations.

He says when he first arrived he was shocked by what he found.

"My initial reaction was that I had seen these sorts of conditions in the late 70s and I didn't believe that they still existed and I was absolutely disgusted and felt sickened," he said.

One outstation in his jurisdiction had living conditions that were not just "third world" but "fifth world".

So, as the scripture says - "take the beam out of you own eye before you worry about the mote in your brothers" or

Matthew 7:3-5King James Version (KJV)

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

America is still the greatest and most power country in the world. I am glad to be a citizen of the U.S. as well as a veteran who put in my years of service to help protect it.

Have you done so in Australia?  Have you put in years of military service in a country you love so much?

comment: It's never too late - With the war that is coming and the possibility Australia may be the first to be hit by a nuclear bomb - it's never to late.
