Hi Everyone,
We've had a Pyromid for over 20 yrs and love it..    http://www.pyromid.net

I was checking out their website to see if they were still in business  and if there were any new accessories and learned that the Red Cross choses it as the stove of choice for hurricane relief. It uses any bio mass fuel: eg: leaf clutter, pine cones, twigs as well as charcoal.  When we use it at home, we use only natural charcoal on ours...see their website for charcoal info. and sources at bottom of "benefits" section.

It is very light in weight, stainless steel, 12" x 12" and 1" thick, stores in it's  included nylon tote bag. No tools needed for set-up. It unfolds (yes! everything fits folded up in that bag...you will be amazed! It doesn't seem possible and it's fun to watch it go together. There's a file that shows you how easy it is to do this on their site. It's like clowns piling out of a circus car!) and  the stove sets up in less than 1 minute. You can wash it in a stream.

We've cooked and baked in ours ....made a pineapple up-side-down cake once! When the kids were little we did a lot of tent camping so this got a lot of use and still is in excellent condition. My DH ran out of propane for the grill recently half-way through cookng dinner outside. We got out the Pyromid  from our disaster prep area and finished dinner on it. I can't say enough about how great it is!  If you haven't already purchased an alternative stove, you might want to check this out.

Their old webite http://www.pyromid.net/oldsite/index.html  lists accessories that you can order.
