I put no stock in the scientists telling us how the world will end when they cannot explain in their theories of the earth formation, big bang, how one tree can penetrate, vertically multiple coal seams. But the Bible can, world wide flood.

http://www.icr.org/article/polystrate-trees-coal-seams-joggins-fossil-cliffs/

  1. The vertical stumps often penetrate two or more strata, including thin seams of coal. Often they overlap other trees, arising from overlying layers. A dead, hollow, and submerged stump could not persist for the long period of time necessitated for a second forest to grow and collect as peat
Jesus Christ died and was raised on the third day, the only "God" to overcome death.

Good read. Excellent point about school closures being key to halting the spread of a virus because children and teens can act as the "transmission backbone of the next pandemic". I'm sure that one strikes a chord for the parents amongst us. Everything I catch seems to have been going around school first Ermm

When our kids finished school we stopped getting sick! As soon as they had children and the grand kids started preschool, we all started getting sick again. Schools are just a giant incubator!

Arirish, I tried the link yesterday and today but it won't let me see it. Would you cut and paste it please? Thanks.

Those who got it wrong, for whatever reason, may feel defensive and retrench into a position that doesn’t accord with the facts.

I couldn't use the link either, KiwiMum, or post it here using my tablet. Try googling "the scientists who simulate the end of the world". That's how I found the article.

I fixed your links, arirish. It was the double "http" thing that was messing with it.

You're more than welcome, arirish. Glad to help.
While we're on the subject, your contribution to AFT hasn't gone unnoticed either, and I'd like to take the opportunity to thank you for all the time and effort you put into posting articles and information. It's very much appreciated by everyone Thumbs Up

Right on the money!

Glass noticed something about the behavior of a pandemic. It "exhibits many similarities to that of a forest fire: You catch it from your neighbors," he reasoned. And there are two ways to stop a wildfire from spreading—with fire breaks or by thinning the forest. In pandemic terms, that meant either closing off borders in large quarantine areas, or "thinning" the potential network of people who could be infected. The thinning model, Glass posited, would work a lot better since the place where the fire (or flu) will break out is so unpredictable.

I noticed during the last round of H1N1 that many of the Eastern European countries closed their schools for several weeks and the level of spread in those countries was much lower than in countries that didn't!
