    Anyone know where I can get a solar-powered battery charger that will charge AA/C/D ("flashlight") type batteries?

Going to get some nicads ... I've seen chargers for 12 volt car batteries but not small batteries. I suppose I could jury rig an inverter up and attach it to a 12 volt, but that's a bit mickey moused ...

I have used mine to charge batteries, but you need a clear day and it once rained on the charger destroying the batteries. Shocked

Try the above site.  I have not ordered any yet,  but it is on my to do list.  There are other chargers and solar power on the site as well.
 
I have no idea if they are any good or not.
