1. I believe that there are overlaps in pandemics, earthquakes and other disasters. They might be based in nature but there is a (strong) human element in it as well. Governments should prepare for these disasters because history tells that they are a given fact, disasters are certain to happen the only uncertainty is how strong, what and were.

In my idea governments should have somthing like an "Emergency Act" in wich supermarkets can play a major role making certain that people can get water, food, maybe even shelter. (In France a few winters ago stranded motorists could spend the night in an IKEA-enough beds, also restaurant etc !)

A disaster should not surprise authorities, they legitimise their authority by being able to deal with calamities ! People should not loot supermarkets because they have no drink or food. Governments can compensate supermarkets for playing a major role in a crisis ! With a bonus when such shops do something extra-avoiding shortages and looting !

2 Earthquakes and dmino-effect; I saw one clip on the site of Dutchsinse: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y97rBdSYbkg a 0,5 cm domino can topple in 12 steps a 100 pounds domino. Each stone can topple the next one when that is 1,5 times larger. In 28 steps the first 5mm stone could topple, bring down, the Empire State Building !!!

Putting up the domino's is putting in energy against gravity, when the domino's fall that energy is released.

A virus can develop in several steps from only effecting one small group at a certain location into a pandemic killing millions of people. The wind created by a butterfly might develop into a hurricane !

In https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGUvMJ6cbXA more energy is put into the domino's by crossing sticks and elasticity. Just more how earthquakes partly works. One piece of earth collides with another, you get the domino-effect-shaking, elasticity increases the shaking evenfurther because the ground is not rock but more liquid, mud-like.

3 Earth is over 4.000.000.000 years old, humans only 4.000.000 that is 0.1% of this planet. Of our history we may claim to know something about the past 4.000 years. Again 0.1% (or less) of our own human history we know of.

We should not be surprised when "strange things" happen, we simply do not know enough to know what to expect !

4 "Life, Libertyhe and the persuit of Happiness"  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life,_Liberty_and_the_pursuit_of_Happiness should not run into short times of cheap pleasure at extreme costs for many. Durable "happyness" for all should be the basis for democracy, not inequality in wich 0.1% of humans claim to own almost all there is.

The interests of that 0.1% is not the general interest. When the price is climate change, fracking destroying the earth, poverty, lack of access to basic healthcare for most of the people on this earth thin inequality creates instability that endangers all of us.

The human-factor in "natural disasters" spreading sickness, famine, war, exploring oil, gas etc for the profit and greed for a small group is wrong. If we want to limit the horrors nature can bring we should recognize those horrors and as humans organize to deal with that.

Wealth based on dis-honesty does not give a person more rights to put his interests above general interests ! http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-05-17/billionaire-oil-ceo-demands-scientists-fired-after-oklahoma-quake-study Healthcare http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-09-03/30-million-americans-antidepressants-and-21-other-facts-about-americas-endless-pharm, housing, education are basic human rights-history shows that we-as humans-might have a better chance of survival when we cooperate instead of fighting each other.

4 Cencorship. media"control" is not in the interest of the public (but in the interest of an elite). Divide-and-rule-games is controling the people, playing with them. An outcome of witholding information, education and wealth.

We have seen it in the past; "everything had to be under control" and that made matters worse !

Fukushima shows that an earthquake could become a nuclear disaster. Media-control in Japan is meant to save the necks of those who were responsible for bad decisions. And there are so many "fukushima's" waiting to happen ! The main-stream-media in the "free world" is owned by a small group of international investers. They claim to own the truth about everything, rewrite history, brainwash you for their goals.

The value of internet is that it gives some room for alternative media-eventhough under severe pressure from the MSM.
