Yes they have success!
No we didn't need a quarantine! This was the plan. Now tell them we have everything under control. No need to panic. Ebola really is hard to spread. The outfits the aid workers in Africa are wearing are just to bring awareness, not really anything more than that. We are isolating patients to calm the public there's no need for concern. Let winter weather find the virus that will stop it. This guy unknowingly brought it here. True he was in Ebola area and came back here without passing through quarantine. He went to Dr with symptoms but they did ask about his travel but sent him back home. I got a bridge for sale and some magic beans too. |

I feel safe and so should you. Here's why
http://m.whitehouse.gov/blog/2014/09/30/cdc-confirms-first-case-ebola-diagnosed-us Questions and Answers on Ebola Q: What is Ebola? A: Ebola virus is the cause of a viral hemorrhagic fever disease. Symptoms include: fever, headache, joint and muscle aches, weakness, diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain, lack of appetite, and abnormal bleeding. Symptoms may appear anywhere from 2 to 21 days after exposure to Ebola virus though 8-10 days is most common. Q: How is Ebola transmitted? A: Ebola is transmitted through direct contact with the blood or bodily fluids of an infected symptomatic person or though exposure to objects (such as needles) that have been contaminated with infected secretions. Q: Can Ebola be transmitted through the air? A: No. Ebola is not a respiratory disease like the flu, so it is not transmitted through the air. Q: Can I get Ebola from contaminated food or water? A: No. Ebola is not transmitted through food in the United States. It is not transmitted through water. Q: Can I get Ebola from a person who is infected but doesn’t have any symptoms? A: No. Individuals who are not symptomatic are not contagious. In order for the virus to be transmitted, an individual would have to have direct contact with an individual who is experiencing symptoms or has died of the disease. Wonder how badly someone's butt got chewed out for skipping over that little detail. It would almost have been better if they hadn't asked. |

I agree it would have almost been better. But maybe the fear they are living with now that they themselves were exposed & might be next is punishment enough. I'd give anything to know where the kink in the armor was. That Dr. specifically said the ER nurse did ask him & he did volunteer. Was she usurped by a know it all MD (no offense you white coats out there). Or what happened... there I go assuming again.
