I am not an American and really the politics in the Us is bewildering to the rest of the world. Having seen the documentary "Inside Job" it is clear that corruption is the major problem in the US and that the office of the President is up for auction.

Obama is clearly corrupt, and that fact was made clear in the documentary.

Everyone I know is disillusioned by what is going on right now in U.S. politics.  We're way beyond being sick and tired of it.  Everyone has an agenda & we can't even watch just plain news anymore without someone's agenda shining through.  The politicans don't want to work together anymore and there is blame for that in both parties.  Why do the democrats expect that the republicans will work with them when they rammed the health care law down their throats and didn't give anyone time to read it before hand?

Why should the banking debts be socialized onto the general public?  Let it collapse now because it surely will do so later on and be far, far worse.

It appears our government has been laying the framework to incarcerate anyone who riots in the upcoming collapse of the dollar.  It will be interesting and frightening to watch as our society breaks down.  I can only assume that our government is underestimating the backlash it is going to receive.  There won't be enough FEMA camps to hold them all and there are too many guns to confiscate.  I think it will be like trying to fight a fire with a garden hose.  The more they try to put out the fire, the bigger it will grow.  As for me, I'll be sitting on the sidelines rooting for the unruly populace in the hopes that they'll get a few of those banking bastards and politcians who have ruined our great country.  I want to know how so many could be blind to our economic situation & not do anything to correct it before it got out of hand.  Why isn't anyone working to limit the damage now?  You'd have to assume that it has always been and will always be more about getting elected than doing the right thing.

I just hope that we've done enough to secure our home.

Personally, I can't justify voting for Obama or Romney.  I don't like either one of them.  If Romney gets elected, he's going to do whatever the Federal Reserve Board and big banks want him to do.  As long as his off-shore bank accounts are stuffed with money and his family is secure, he won't care at all.  Obama never has cared about this country.

Nobody in our government is really interested in securing our homeland.  If they did, then they would seal our borders!  Again, politics rules.  The Mexican's come in illegally & most of them vote democrat.  Gee, why turn off the spigot when they might help Obama get re-elected?

Elver too bad you can't vote for Romney that is a vote for Obama. We know the damage Obama has done and if Obama gets re-elected he may take your guns. Romney will not take your guns.

Think about that!

I am really torn with regards to even voting in this election.  I absolutely despise Obama.  Every move he makes is to subvert the health of this country.  Romney is a war monger and will get us into a war with Iran.  He will also do whatever the bankster crooks want him to do.  There really is no choice between the two.

I think that if we have a write in candidate that I will write in Ron Paul and the chips can fall wherever.  I'm to the point where I don't give a crap anymore about being a Republican.  I think the Federal Reserve ought to be audited and their authority to print money reduced.  There is something really criminal when the board members of the Fed give the $4 trillion to their own banks!  If these banks are too big to fail, then break them up to 5 smaller pieces.
Read about the $4 trillion here.  http://www.commondreams.org/newswire/2012/06/12-2

There is something really criminal when John Corzine hasn't been arrested, in fact, nobody from MF Global is behind bars.  That's because John Corzine is one of Obama's biggest fund raisers.  Gee, do ya see any conflict of interest where government prosecutor's are concerned?

We have a totally corrupt government now so it doesn't matter who you vote for.  Obama definitely needs to go, but Romney is no replacement!  In fact, all encumbents need to go from both the House & Senate.  None of them are working to fix our national debt because they all want to get re-elected.  Well, LET'S JUST BOOT THEM ALL OUT INSTEAD!

Of all the qualified people in this county, we get stuck with these two clunkers! As long as there's a Federal Reserve, my vote for a presidental candidate is meaningless. These guys were preselected years ago, and we're just given the illusion of having a choise. If I'm wrong, then explain to me how a vertiual nobody, with a relativaly unknown past, and no money gets elected?

There aren't enough police and military COMBINED to take on the American populace. I was a police officer for twelve years in one of the bigger departments in the country and numerous times were were totally and utterly overburdened. Let the dollar collapse and most police aren't even going to show up to work. No money=no cops.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm not the kind of person that's going to put my life on the line free of charge, and regardless of what utopian world anyone lives in, police don't work for free and almost all have a family they'd rather be protecting. .

The military and government comes to a screeching halt the moment the money stops flowing. Which military person or G-Man is going to man the gates of some imaginary FEMA camp if their family is potentially *IN* that camp, or otherwise getting the stick, **** end, one each?

If the dollar collapses, expect the cities to be aflame twenty-four hours later, and no government workers anywhere to be seen. That includes police, fire, ambulance, etc.

And the best part is that the rest of the world gets to hold our collective hands while we dive.  Smile

Well, if anything this is going to be a very interesting election cycle this November! On election night, I just hope there's a cut and dry winner, and not some long and drawn out ordeal like with Bush and Gore.

Since George Soros owns the company in Spain that will count over half of the states in this upcoming election, I'd just bet money that he's crooked enough to make sure the count comes out ahead for his little buddy, Obama.

Or, Obama will create a huge crisis that our election will be cancelled.

I look at all those fools in Egypt who actually think that their vote counts.  THE GAME IS RIGGED!

George Carlin told it like it is.

What we have now is a breakdown of ethics and morality.  The politicians and bankers are simply in it for personal gain.  Everybody I know believes that Obama isn't a natural born citizen, but because he's already in office, nobody in politics will do the due dilligence required to prove it.

All of this reminds me of when we bought our house.  We had trouble with our picture window and had the builder come out to fix it.  The scumbag window installer put the window in with only 1 nail on each side of the window.  All that guy wanted was to collect his pay for installing a bunch of windows and go home so he could drink beer and watch the game.

The banksters want to make even more money so they can buy a bigger house, boat or airplane.  In their case it is all about feeding their super sized ego's.  CEO's don't care about off-shoring jobs as long as it nets them a larger paycheck.

The news reporters, if you could call them that, don't report the news anymore.  They report everything with a slant towards their agenda or politcal party.  Does Katie Couric come to mind?  No wonder she lost ratings and her job.  How many more of them can we get rid of by changing the channel or complaining to their sponsors?  We need to work harder at this.

People need to separate their wants from their needs and be honest when dealing with the public at all levels.  That includes all you fraudulent HVAC and roofing people!

Why are so many people trying to skip out on doing an honest days work with integrity?

I am totally disillusioned by what is happening to our country.  People are more concerned with watching "Jersey Whores" and "The Kardashian's" rather than researching how their congresspeople voted so we can unelect them the next time.  Doesn't anybody care about the loss of our rights?

I'm afraid that we're going down the tubes with the afterburners lit because when it comes right down to it, hardly anybody cares.  And if they do, they're not willing to make a small sacrifice by writing letters to their congresspeople demanding change.

Obama's slogan was hope & change.  Well, we got the change!

It's heartbreaking to think how these men sacraficed their lives, blood, sweat and tears for this country, and our generation let it go to hell in a hand basket!

My religion teaches me to help and care for the less fortunate.  That can be done on a personal level and in the government that the people select.  Why is it that most Christians do not want government to help the poor?  Is Christianity that much of a departure from the teaching of Judaism that it does not understand the concept of Alms?

I think there's a distinct difference between free will and government mandates. Government subsidies do more to enslave the poor than they to free them from the bondage of their situation. And, why are there so many poor people in this nation? Maybe it's because we lack the wisdom to distinguish absolute truth from relativism that the Statists preach?

Myron,

Most people I know don't mind helping out the poor.  However, thare are generations of people on welfare with absolutely no intention of finding jobs.  That has become the problem.  Free food, free housing, free medical, free cellphones.  GIVE ME A BREAK!  Entire generations of families know how to work the system.

I was watching the house of represenatitives channel recently and someone said that over 70% of the people could avoid poverty by simply doing 3 things.
1)  Get a high school diploma.  See drop out rates here.  http://nces.ed.gov/fastfacts/display.asp?id=16
2)  Work full-time.  They might not like slinging hamburgers or putting on a roof, but there are jobs out there because I see them all the time.
3)  Don't have babies out of wedlock.
Fact:  78% of food stamp mothers do not have a job.
Fact:  40% of food stamp mothers do not have a high school diploma nor have they been married.  See it here on page 2.  www.census.gov/apsd/www/.../sb95_22.pdf

So, I believe that helping the poor has gotten way out of hand in this country and people need to make better decisions and start helping themselves!

Why should society continually pay for other people's bad decisions?

If people knew there was no safety net beneath them, then most would be more careful and we wouldn't have the societal leeches that we do today.

Elver, you hit the nail on the head! I know people who would rather set at home and collect welfare because they'd only make a few dollars more a week if they had to work for it. So, they'd rather claim there's no jobs out there, and collect stolen money from the people that get up and go to work. Most of the homeless people I see on the streets appear to be drunks, drug addicts, mentally ill, or a combina

Or a combination of both. At least in my area, but I know there's families out there that over extended themselves with the zero percent easy credit scam.
