In Oklahoma, also an upper respiratory infection of some type going around. I am on my 3rd round of antibiotics and my daughter just started her antibiotics yesterday after a trip to the ER. Everyon in the ER was sick with the same sounding upper respiratory mess. Lots of kids at school sick too.

Stomach virus STILL active in our area. I was volunteering at our Food Bank on Friday and I had two people come in that said they had to drag themselves out of bed to come in and get food for their kids, they had been throwing up all day. REALLY? I mean come on, so you want to expose me and my volunteers to your sickness, lol?
I guess they felt they had no choice, we are only open one day a week, Fridays, and when your looking at no free breakfast or lunch for your kids on the weekends with school being closed. It's scary the amount of people that have no food......

Visited the hospital/clinic this week and found they had put out masks, hand sanitizer and barf bags (not sure what the correct medical terminology for those are, lol) at the entrance of the hospital. That indicates to me things are heating up around here, they have NEVER put out the masks and barf bags before. I saw people throwing up in the bags, people hacking and coughing. This is in SW OKlahoma.

Thank you for the Report Penham. Now if others would report we could see if this stomach virus has a pattern.

Our high school principal has the flu, verified by a flu test. School librarians son (an adult) had to go to the ER, he threw up 30 times in a 4-5 hour time period. Stomach flu going around the school, or could be the regular flu if not getting tested.

My Doc told me that young adults and very young children were getting hit hard with the Noro virus. Very violent illness for them. My boss's two kids got the Noro virus over the weekend. No real reports of true Flu in my area Denver Metro Colorado.

Hubby was sent home from work today, went to the doctor, diagnosed with bronchitis. Got some antibiotics and resting now. They have an audit this week or he wouldn't have even tried to go into work, lol. They had to work all weekend, so whoever was there working with him was exposed. He sounds terrible, coughing really bad, can barely talk.

Mucinex...and plenty of liquids will help. If you are in a dry area put up a cool mist humidfier where ever he is. Hope he gets better soon.

Mucinex is something I have stocked up on, I have several bottles of the tablets and several bottles of the liquid guaifenesin! So he started on that a couple days before going to the doc. He is doing alot better now, back to work today. I didn't even think about using the humidifier and I do have one.

Before is was all over, hubby's bronchitis turned into pneumonia. Then I got an upper respiratory infection. 16 year old didn't get any of it. We are all finished with the antibiotics and all better, hopefully we will stay that way for awhile.

Flu and strept throat are going around here. It's spring break so maybe that will help slow things down a bit, however we have a school group in DC and another in Spain, so they could potentially bring sickness back with them. I know several people that have the flu right now, I asked them if they gave them the test and they said yes they tested positive, but they didn't remember what type of flu they had
