Drove almost 1100 miles on Sunday to watch the total eclipse in Oregon. Absolutely worth every mile - one of the most amazing things I've ever witnessed. I'm hooked now. Can't wait for the next one

Glad you made it, JD!  I saw the one in Canada in 1979, from the shores of frozen Lake Winnipeg.  When totality came, I remember that the Northern Lights came out!!  Breathtaking!

Breathtaking is the word, Chuck. We could see stars during the almost two minutes of totality. Didn't realize it would be such an emotional experience.
