DJ, western politics seems to be based on lies; -The pandemic is NOT over...so if new healthcrises show up how will the public see "politics" (and "media") who denied the health problems..."Long CoViD" -by now the most widespread form of CoViD with tens of millions of people worldwide dealing with long term health issues often is ignored...People with "Long CoViD" themselves often not in a position to fight...families dealing with care...not legal steps so far... -"Ukraine is winning" https://www.moonofalabama.org/2023/07/something-amiss.html or https://www.moonofalabama.org/2023/07/something-amiss.html ...western "leaders" by now invested over a trillion US$ worth in "weakening BRICS+"...conflicts with Russia, Iran...Only...BRICS+ is getting stronger...NATO may face another defeat in Ukraine...So lets try a navy war https://southfront.org/u-s-to-deploy-more-warships-marines-in-middle-east-to-counter-iran/ or https://southfront.org/u-s-to-deploy-more-warships-marines-in-middle-east-to-counter-iran/ stopping Iran (and Gulf countries...) -China oil transports...(no longer paid for in US$)... -http://arctic-news.blogspot.com/2023/07/planetary-inferno-nero-fiddles-while-rome-burns.html or http://arctic-news.blogspot.com/2023/07/planetary-inferno-nero-fiddles-while-rome-burns.html the "idea was" to have new technology to take CO2 out of the atmosphere before it would get a major problem....Climate collapse will bring more extreme weather-less food...less drinkable water...logistics ( just-in-time-crisis) disasters... -Economic inequality is getting worse..."politicians for sale" seem to go for short term-private- profits "saving the economy"...the longer term bill has to be paid by public means...tax...The bill/debts are getting unpayable...hyperinflation is just a matter of time when money/currency is based on debts... DJ-kicking lots of cans down lots of roads is NOT a strategy to solve problems...it is buying time at exponential costs...leaving next generations with an impossible future... The west may be seeing most of the problems very soon...BRIICSS+ may help finding some answers...but we need global cooperation to even have a remote chance of surviving these man made crises...Even that basic idea is missing... |

Or result in other persons repeating the same bla-bla...) In Israel https://www.debka.com/reasonability-law-passed-police-mass-against-protesters-storming-knesset/ or https://www.debka.com/reasonability-law-passed-police-mass-against-protesters-storming-knesset/ ; The law revoking the High Court’s power to disqualify decisions by elected authority – on the grounds of “unreasonability” – was carried on Monday, July 24 by 64 to 0. Opposition lawmakers were absent. Earlier, opposition leader Yair Lapid announced talks on a compromise version to soften the law had broken off. He assured the hundreds of military reservists, who vowed to abstain from voluntary service if the law was carried, to wait for the High Court which would surely overturn the measure as undemocratic. After a four-day march to Jerusalem to disrupt legislation, tens of thousands of angry protesters held the House to siege after the law was carried. Police forces armed with water hoses massed at the Knesset entrances to keep the demonstrators seeking to storm the building at bay, including mounted officers. They made 19 arrests. and https://www.debka.com/air-force-dismayed-by-1142-air-crew-reservists-threat-to-balk-duty-in-protest-over-judicial-overhaul/ or https://www.debka.com/air-force-dismayed-by-1142-air-crew-reservists-threat-to-balk-duty-in-protest-over-judicial-overhaul/ some people in Israel now looking to see if Europe, America can be an alternative...Israel may see increase of immigration from Russia and Ukraine... https://www.moonofalabama.org/2023/07/the-failed-state-effort-of-indicting-trump.html or https://www.moonofalabama.org/2023/07/the-failed-state-effort-of-indicting-trump.html ; The Failed State Effort Of Indicting TrumpThe effort Biden's Justice Department puts into preventing the leader of its opposition from gaining another presidency has reached an insane level. As Inquiries Compound, Justice System Pours Resources Into Scrutinizing Trump - NY Times - Jul 23, 2023 Jack Smith, the special counsel overseeing criminal investigations into former President Donald J. Trump, employs 40 to 60 career prosecutors, paralegals and support staff, augmented by a rotating cast of F.B.I. agents and technical specialists, according to people familiar with the situation. With that budget and the brainpower of such a large staff one could find fault with anyone and indict any person for whatever without much problems. If this would happen in a foreign democracy that is not friendly with the U.S. the State Department and various think tanks would be outraged about such anti-democratic behavior. It would be explained as a sign that the state in question is falling apart. DJ, Also The Duran https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TH_kJuBRZwY or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TH_kJuBRZwY ; Targeting Trump and protecting Bidendid discuss the US political collapse... UK, NL not doing much better...In the UK the two-party (in basics) system may result in "voter marketing" to maximize votes...Here in NL we have around 15 parties in parliament...at least 7 of them may need new leaders for the november 22 elections...a few small parties may not survive... DJ-as always- I am NOT neutral...see myself as "moderate left wing" but do not feel represented any longer by "politics"...The "political elite" is living in its own bubble...less than 1% of NL population is member of a political party...The "neo-liberal"vvd has links with banks and shell...the "new" farmer party "BBB" may have monsanto funding...(sponsors moving away from christian-democrats to BBB as a new center party..). In most western countries there are the same kind of basic problems; increase of income inequality-poor end up more poor, rich get richer...Public sector (housing, transport, healthcare, education) destroyed...populism playing "divide and rule" games "refugees take your houses" ...while the populists (vvd) failed to build more houses, stop climate collapse or war...resulting in refugees... (migrant workers not a problem for right wing parties...refugees in NL is limited...even Ukraine refugees in NL is limited compared with a.o. Germany...). Do these political crises increase to the level of risks for civil war ? In French riots there were claims western weapons meant for Ukraine were used against the police...Still the number of fire arms in most of Europe is limited...In Serbia two mass murders did push politics to promote giving weapons to the police...Poland is a hub for NATO transfer of weapons to Ukraine...criminality is ending up with lots of modern-heavy-weapons (even anti-tank, anti aircraft weapons...). The US has already a major problem in fire arms...inequality and political failure did see a lot of people give up voting...(Spain did see 70% of the public/voters casting their vote last sunday). US street violence may see over 40,000 US deaths each year...I think the major risk may not be in "political division"...Only a certain group is still involved in "politics"...but a total lack of trust, contact, with "politics"....for that matter "two party countries" US, UK, may be more at risk... Also Poland -run for years by catholic extremists with rural support- and an urban more progressive population in opposition-may face risks. The Ukraine war may see some of its divisions reflected in Poland. (catholic agri-culture nationalistic conservatism against more modern urban groups... ). In Spain the socialist party may work with Catalunya separatists to form a government...More "federalism" with self government for Catalunya, Basque-country and some other regions may be "to much" for "nationalists"...The US may decide to support those "nationalists" taking over the role of Germany/Italy in 1936 at the start of the Spanish civil war...(the franco catholic fascist terror...lasting till the 70's)... Foreign powers may "push" countries in a "civil" war...one can question for what matter Ukraine is in a civil war...or Syria... |
