Check out this guys comments that was below that article:

This hysterical, irresponsible, inaccurate and flat-out unethical article is allegedly based on a memo published by the CDC. This is that memo (http://www.cdc.gov/.../manag.../ebola-guidance-airlines.html).

Show me anything in it that indicates risk of airborne Ebola. And don't say it's the line, “to reduce the number of droplets expelled into the air by talking, sneezing, or coughing,” because that is about saliva, flem, and other body fluids. That's not "airborne" as it is generally understood. That's essentially the same territory as the warning “Don’t get vomited on.”

The article buttresses it’s misrepresentations with more misrepresentations:

“2012 experiment conducted by Canadian scientists which proved that, ‘the ebola virus could be transmitted by air between species.’”

Actually no. Though I could provide you with th...
e paper if you want, but this article on the paper is shorter and should be through enough (http://scienceblogs.com/.../pig-to-monkey-ebola-is-there.../):

“However, the authors do note that this could have been aerosolized in other manners than directly from the exhaling pigs (such as during the floor-cleaning process). Finally, even if it does become aerosolized and spread in this manner, as noted in Ed’s article, Ebola is not ‘suddenly an airborne virus, like influenza.’”

The experiment dealt with extreme close-quarter contamination where the passage was essentially similar to when I described above – saliva and flem.

More inaccurate still is this line:

“As we reported last week, President Barack Obama signed an amendment to executive order which allows health authorities to detain Americans who merely show signs of respiratory illness.”

Its actually a revision of a preexisting EO that made a list of quarantinable diseases, it added only one paragraph:

"(b) Severe acute respiratory syndromes, which are diseases that are associated with fever and signs and symptoms of pneumonia or other respiratory illness, are capable of being transmitted from person to person, and that either are causing, or have the potential to cause, a pandemic, or, upon infection, are highly likely to cause mortality or serious morbidity if not properly controlled. This subsection does not apply to influenza." (
http://www.cdc.gov/sars/quarantine/exec-2004-04-03.html)

And that was driven be concerns over MERS, not Ebola.
